Katy Perry (born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson; October 25, 1984) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Born in Santa Barbara, California, and raised by Christian pastor parents, Perry grew up listening to only gospel music and sang in her local church as a child. After earning a GED during her first year of high school, she began to pursue a career in music. As Katy Hudson, she released a self-titled gospel album in 2001, which was unsuccessful. She later recorded an album with production team The Matrix and completed the majority of a solo album from 2004–5, neither of which were released.

Even though I like her first album One Of The Boys more than Teenage Dream, but I'm really impressed with TD-era music videos [uhm, except TD video, I don't like it].

^ I actually thought her music improved considerably with TD...I was really disappointed in One of the Boys..I only liked the singles basically :(. I really like a good majority of the songs on TD.

I've always ignored the album tracks on One of the Boys but after a year of listening to Teenage Dream, I decided to listen to them again and I fell in love with I'm Still Breathing and Lost actually with most of them if not all.

Teenage Dream is a solid album. every track have a strong feeling not like OOTB. for me TD is the best album ever

As for single I LOVE Thinking Of You. A LOT. :love

I think the singles from TD is basically the highlights of the album.

I kind of would like to see her in concert...but then again I don't really like the way she sings live. It sounds like she tries really hard & overdoes it :(. I just saw her perform live on Saturday Night Live last night & didn't care much for them :no.
