Ayu's total single+album sales mentioned in 2011 Oricon article
 

Oricon listed the top selling artists in a recent article about B'z and Ayu is third place under B'z and Mr. Children with 49,577,000 copies sold! She should hit the 50 million mark soon... maybe next year? I don't think she'll ever come close to B'z mammoth 80 million though, lol.

The releases listed after their names are their highest selling CDs.

We last saw her sales in September 2010 with a total of 49,010,000 copies on an episode of MUSIC STATION.

No way she's going to catch up to B'z or Mr.Children, but we'll still remember that she is the eternal "Empress of Pop" with the most sold among females. And we really can't wait for her to break the 50 million mark - that could come up sometime over the next two/three years or so!
