I can relate to these lyrics to some degree...but I really hope these 'departing love' & 'going separate ways' lyrics are not hinting towards something going on with Mannie...that would just be soooo sad :(!

I could almost state she is talking about her husband. Not son long ago she made an interview saying that if she had an argue with her significant other she would never go to that person to apologize- and these lyrics look like an apology and speak about taking pride behind-. The lyric also talks about keeping many things to yourself and refusing to open to the other.

It's a very sad ballad indeed :(
