Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American recording artist and entertainer. Born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, Spears began performing as a child, landing acting roles in stage productions and television shows. She signed with Jive Records in 1997 and released her debut album ...Baby One More Time in 1999. During her first decade within the music industry, she became a prominent figure in mainstream popular music and popular culture, followed by a much-publicized personal life. Her first two albums established her as a pop icon and broke sales records, while title tracks "...Baby One More Time" and "Oops!... I Did It Again" became international number-one hits. Spears was credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s.

In 2001, she released her third studio album Britney and expanded her brand, playing the starring role in the film Crossroads. She assumed creative control of her fourth studio album, In the Zone (2003), which yielded chart-topping singles "Me Against the Music", "Toxic" and "Everytime". After the release of two compilation albums, Spears experienced personal struggles and her career went under hiatus. Her fifth studio album, Blackout, was released in 2007 and despite receiving little promotion, it spawned hits "Gimme More" and "Piece of Me". In 2008, her erratic behavior and hospitalizations caused her to be placed in a conservatorship. The same year, her sixth studio album Circus was released, with the global chart-topping lead single "Womanizer". She embarked on her highest-grossing global concert tour, The Circus Starring Britney Spears, in 2009. Her seventh studio album Femme Fatale, released in 2011, has become the first of her albums to yield three top ten singles in the United States.

Spears has sold over 100 million records worldwide. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), she is the eighth top-selling female artist in the United States, with 33 million certified albums. Spears is also recognized as the best-selling female artist of the first decade of the 21st century, as well as the fifth overall. She was ranked the 8th Artist of the 2000s by Billboard. In June 2010, Spears was ranked sixth on Forbes list of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential celebrities in the world; she is also the third most mentioned musician on the internet, according to Forbes.

no but I saw them when I was watching video of HIAM performance... weird that I didn't see them there, since they didn't sit very far from my seat (o_o)

It reminds me of the whole Love Songs trilogy.
The setting is very Last Angel, the end scene very Love Song and the story very Virgin Road. The lyrics are also similar to Virgin Road.

I couldn't help but to laugh at the sex scene (lol wtf was that), the robbing for a potted soup and the final scene where the cops shoot with terrible aim at them... + The song itself is so annoying and it seems like it never progresses or something.

:laugh anyway, she seems to have reached out to her fans and that's a good thing.

Both tell a modern take at a Bonnie & Clyde-esque story? Both are songs telling the singer's mother about the person she's with and asking her to accept the relationship.

Brit's a terrible actress... :roflmao but I like the song anyway.

Well I wasn't neccesarily saying this video is bad for that reason. In fact, Britney's always been that way and censorship now-a-days is almost non-existent. I was only referring to the general question of "Why is having sex with your boyfriend a bad example to teenagers?"

You're american, censorship is a daily part of your life lol You still have words bleeped out and nipples pixelated on major TV networks and the government can still get rid of public, negative opinions.
They even banned that P!nk song a few years ago like...seriously?

I always find it funny when I watch American cuts of music videos, TV shows or movies, they tend to have some parts pixelated, bleeped or completely cut out. Unless they are running on cable networks, but even then they tend to be censored a bit.

She sang 30-60% of the show live, depending on the date. For the epix recording they replaced her live vocals with studio tracks.

Look up fan-recorded videos of her tour on youtube. Hold it Against Me for example was live in every concert.

I went to one of her tour dates and you can actually really tell the live segment from the pre-recorded one and if I remember correctly she sang Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know completely live.

On the non dvd version you can hear she going off key, failing to harmonize with the back track, and her voice being very inconsistent every time she needs to change the key she is singing in...

And as u can see here, the notes on the live version of BOMT where different from the studio version, still, their editing was so lazy she has her mouth open for nothing (she was singing, or "singing" live on that part) , and once she closes her mouth, the album version notes come from nowhere...

They not only took everything she sang (or pretended she sang) out, they also put the studio version even where it didn't fit... crapy, crapy work...

Thanks for the clips. Wow, I'm practically astounded that she actually sang live. It was a reminder of what a typical voice she has though. Not like I ever thought she was Christina, but hearing her live nowadays is certainly not impressive after all. My real criticism is the dancing though. I have to wonder: has she gotten worse since the Circus Tour?! I swear it's like watching someone with 0 motivation who barely knows what they're doing. What all those concertgoers are paying for is the name and the songs, because nobody else would be excused for such lazy performances. God, she really needs a break. As if the world will ever give her one.

I wanted the DVD for christmas, but know I don't want it anymore...

I soooo wanted to go and see her live, but I hadn't enough money. That was why I was so happy about the DVD being released, but there is no point in buying a live DVD when the songs are replaced by studio recordings...

I remember hearing on a Britney forum that they used another performance and dubbed it over the actual one for the DVD...ie. using the New York performance audio for the Toronto visual. Something like that. Although it sounds like they just replaced what she was doing and just made it seem like it was entirely lip syncing. That's sad cause it looks like she was trying. :( Oh well, I guess I don't want this now either.

Well, it seens like some nice people over internet edited the oficial Femme Fatale DVD video and put a remastered version of the fanrecordings on the sound... The final result? Proper camera angles + live vocals! :D

I will put the ones I find:

It seens like some of the live vocals are actually in the DVD, and can be found if u change the audio during some performances... Still... sadly not all live performances are avaliable on youtube... but as far as it goes, the only songs I couldn't hear live vocals were Piece of Me, S&M, I'm a Slave 4 U, Womanizer and Till The World Ends. Also important to note that she sang most of the songs over a backtrack, and a good amount of the choruses were lip-synched^^

I don't care about live vocals, its britney the legend who was standing in front of me, I couldnt hear music not much her vocals, I was so shocked. After 2 weeks I realized I saw Britney lol and later pictures of that night got back. I probably looked like a zombie with open mouth, I was crying on every track at her concert.

^I care about live vocals... the concert gains a whole new level of energy when you don't have a 1999 vocal track playing on it like the DVD...
