Play-Asia removed both previously available JAPONESQUE eds from their web-site. I hope it doesn't mean they r gonna cancel my order. Sometimes they r taking pre-orders, but then cancel them on or after release date 'cause they don't have enough. It better not to happen this time. :shakehead

So probably they will cut some epic live moments and that's all. I don't think they can package 20 full performances in one dvd plus cm's and all the thing (hoping I'm wrong :P) |
I don't really like Ku having interludes. With Ayu, they keep the flow of the album, but I feel with Kumi it breaks the flow. Just feels awkward and piece-y.
But, seeing as how this album has so many tracks, I think I am going to channel my excitement into this release, to keep it at bay from Ayu's release. If Kumi's album is sub-par, it's never a HUGE deal to me. This way I can look forward to Kumi's album and then soon after, when the album is wearing off, I can be like "OH YEAH, AYUS ALBUM COMES OUT TOMORROW!" |

personally, with kuu and her albums, I don't really take them seriously the way Ayu's are. With Ayu's interludes, I expect them to push the feel and the flow, as you said. With koda, it's more like, just introducing a new atmosphere I guess....the songs keep the flow more than interludes, which I suppose is why she doesn't have 50 million per album like ayu does, and I like it that way. Like BENI, one interlude to open the album, and that's it lol yey for so many scans :luv2 And all the tracks and new versions~~ she's the best with releases. |
Really excited about this. Three of my fav gals [ayu,kuu,nami] are going to release new material, I think I love this End of The World year already : D

Lol, I thought my post was rather positive! I really do love Kumi. I do, I mean, Driving is my favorite Japanese song ever - better than all of Ayu's works! That's a lot to say! It's just like, with Kumi I don't put a lot of pressure on her, because I never feel like it's the end of the world when something isn't good. She releases so often that there is always something right around the corner. Of course I'm always hoping for something good, but I'm never as disappointed or distraught as I am if the same case happened with Ayu. I can't help but hold my expectations of her (Ayu) work to a higher standard, just because I love her so much.
Kumi is entertaining. Ayu is kind of, well, a lifestyle. Lol. It's actually more of a relief when it comes to Kumi. I'm much more relaxed with her. |
^I'm not doubting your love for her or anything, i just got a bit peeved cuz it seemed like you just expect her to fail and deliver bad - i was taking into account your previous posts as well about other fans' expectations and whatnot. It wasn't to attack you like JackieRos made it seem

haha honestly, i dont even think there's a need to compare Kuu and Ayu in anyway.
JAPONESQUE's covers are probably one of the BEST covers for an album. like comparing to most artistes...at least thats what i feel. and in a general sense, it's just stellar as its own. :) |

Well to me Kumi is the only artist that I'm proud of her and her works , It makes me happy when my friends "who aren't into J-pop" keep telling me "OH UR GIRL IS FLAWLESS" " I WISH MY FAVORITE COULD DO THE SAME THING THAT KUMI DOES !!" , so I'm really proud of her , she never let me down in front of my friends when I'm talking about her they keep OMG-ing all the time at what she does :laugh |

Do you really let music and especially Ayu influence your life and emotions that much? You're an independent individual, you shouldn't feel bad or stressed, angry or anything, just because Ayu released a bad album for you. It isn't important for your own life. Lol, I feel like an issue has been made of something that wasn't even an issue to begin with. It's like people are trying to pick drama out from where there is none. I don't recall any comparisons regarding each artists work or who is the better artist. Just discussion on how the artists affect us/me in a different way. I'm actually more excited for Kumi's album.
Anyway, when can we expect previews? I now it's far off yet but when are they usually released for Kumi's albums? |

People fly off the handle so easily because it's a release from the usual tension that hides beneath the surface of AHS.
Don't take any of it personally because it's never really about what it looks like it's about. People just take opportunities to express thoughts and feelings that have been building up for a long time whether the situation is appropriate or not - or even applicable. :P Anyway, does anyone know what was on that list of "favourite live performances" that Kuu's fanclub was supposed to vote on? Gubsi mentioned it earlier and surmised that it's very likely what the second DVD from JAPONESQUE will be made up from. Was it just content from her regular concert DVDs? If it is, there's really no reason for me to buy the CD+2DVD version instead of the CD+DVD version aside from a much nicer cover. :P |
