TRF’s famous piece 「Happening Here」, which will be covered by ayu, was the original theme song for “ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2011 A ～HOTEL Love songs”. Now, this cover song will be the theme song for the 2 tours “ayumi hamasaki COUNTDOWN LIVE 2011-2012 A ～HOTEL Love songs～” and “ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2012 A ～HOTEL Love songs～”!!

The theme song will be available for download from 21 Dec onwards!

Ehum... Right. I'm totally clueless now. "Happening Here" was already decided to be a theme song for the 2011 tour (before it changed into PoM)... So that can't mean she came up with the cover album idea now before London. But wow Ayu have so many suprises. Can't wait to see what's coming up next!

I really like her cover of Haru yo, koi and I love SEVEN DAYS WAR too, so it'd probably be really enjoyable. Sotsugyo shashin was good too. Didn't like teens much though. Generally, her covers are pretty good I'd say then. :D Doubt any of them would make an appearance consider most of them are older, and SDW is on Love Songs.

Yes, CDL1112 is also Hotel Love songs. but most probably it will be a scaled down version since u noe CDL is not as grand as a tour.

Doesn't CDL have 3 nights this year instead of 2? I thought that was so there would be one more opportunity to see HOTEL Love songs, and now the entire tour is being based around that concept. Well... I guess we will see what happens...

Well even if the CDL is 3 days, it's still around 36,000 people instead of 200,000-350,000 she can show to in a tour.

Why are people thinking the new album is a cover album? Ayu tweet'd about deleting lyrics by mistake and Timmy said in a facebook message that Ayu is writing lyrics for a song he's composed.

That's what I thought of as well. It could be a story or part 1 - part 2. =) Either way, just the thought of having a Hotel Love Songs tour is so awesome. ^_^

I think it will be very early tour. There is no reasons to wait until april to begin

I have a feeling the first half of the Arena Tour is going to be almost identical to CDL; generally they'll be very very similar. So that people can see the early part of the Arena Tour as the CDL, and as the album is released the Arena Tour will evolve just like PoM did; in this way, we get to see the HOTEL Love songs closer to how it was before the quake, and she won't be sacrificing a new tour for the new album in this year.

While i too would prefer a regular studio album, what is so wrong about a cover album?
It's not like she's gonna cover Baby One More Time And Who Let The Dogs Out, it's properly gonna be some ballads in the style of what she usually does.

With that being said, i really doubt it's even gonna be a cover album, but i would be alright with it. It would be a interesting add to her discography.

Ayumi stopped caring for what sells completely when she released Rock 'n' Roll Circus(no summer/winter singles anymore after that and she started being very unpredictable, she also got very little promotion and rarely appeared on TV after that). It's not about sales anymore, it's about what Ayumi wnats to do.

Or how about ayu will pull out something similar to AT2003 - 2004. The CDL and the tour in the following year are both the same thing. Probably just costume changes.

Time Traveler was a work-in-progress title from Timmy but he did pretty much confirm he was writing new material for her.

Also the presence of tasuku/Yuta/CMJK/Timmy [basically her music production team now] in London points at new tracks. The cover might be a bonus track or something

I'm pretty sure this Arena Tour is the second attempt to last year's (2011) Arena Tour, which got scrapped due to the earthquake/tsunami effects...

2012 IS the year I'm going to see Ayu so I'm excited. Even though its named "Hotel Love Songs" does not mean she's only going to perform songs from Love songs. Its just the theme of the show, like the circus theme from 2010.

Personally, I think she's only covering that song to create a buzz around the tour. Since she doesn't have an album or a single to promote it with.

i think it won't happen so early, it would start around march.april like usual.

I'm listening to the cover of Happening Here right now.

She sounds really young, like the "rap" part of Fly High's HAL's mix.
At one point there's a rap (I think it's from DJ KOO of TRF...but I'm not sure...) and he says something like "give it up for the queen Ayumi Hamasaki and her HOTEL Love songs" as well as a bunch of other English stuff.

It's a bit reminiscent of NOTHING FROM NOTHING days.

My roommate is recording it from his cellphone right now to send to me, and of course it will be low quality, but for those who want to here it I'll post it.
