Well, I think it's new era because H!P lead by Berryz Captain now, it's just kinda weird somehow.

It's the time for a change I guess, Niigaki Risa is the oldest within H!P and she's going to graduate, so H!P will leap into different landslide. I wonder what kind of future awaits them.

Anyway, the setlist for Winter concert is out, and wow both setlist are amazing!

We all see this coming but it's TOO SOON..I expected to see Gaki to stay for at least two to three years..but I read that Gaki was suppose to graduate with Ai last tour but she delayed because of new audition..damn now my last favourite is graduating
I don't think I can handle any more grad Eri/Pandas/Ai and now Gaki...might as well just stop supporting MM and all together :(

ps: I think Sayu will be the leader of H!P since Captain wasn't added to a major group (Berryz) till in 2004 and yea she started earlier as an EGG before the 6th gen but she wasn't considered as a major member till she became a BK. In this case Sayumi and Reina both are more "higher" in seniority since they debuted in 2003.

Yeah, I really want her to lead the group for at least 2 years. Her strict attitude towards new members is needed, that's why I want her to stay a little longer. Even though she always overshadowed by other members, she has few lines, and so on. MM would be different without her, the best rapper! XD

At least the new direction it's atrocious, she's going to follow Aichan steps. Gaki is more suitable for fierce samurai plays than chicken costumes, that new single. Duh.

So yeah, I have to say goodbye to my most favorite generation, no matter what people say, I love 5th gen girls so much.

Well, it's kinda "official" already that Captain will become the leader of H!P, it's been mentioned everywhere, in almost of every article, not sure if they announce it too during the concert, except when they announce something so sudden.

I used to love Sayu, but not anymore. I prefer Reina instead of Sayu though.

My interest in MM is dropping like a rock. Like I said before, once Reina graduates, I probably won't listen to them anymore :(

Can anyone tell me why is Sayumi taking the lead? Why not Reina? No ofense but imo Sayumi is the most annoying and stupid girl in the history of the group.

I haven't payed much attention to H!P since I discovered AKB48 in 2009... The quality of the music is decreasing with every release and the new MoMusu members are too young and they all look the same lol. However, I still follow Dreams Morning Musume because I love the OG members. I wish Takahashi and Gaki to become members and I'd also die if Gocchin would join them too.

^ Leadership is never decided based on a girl's popularity. It's decided first by the most senior generation (so it has to be someone in Gen 6, since that's the most senior one currently in MM), then by the most senior member, but in this case since Sayu and Reina have equal seniority, it's decided by age - and Sayu's older than Reina, so Sayu gets it.

And regardless, Sayu's probably the most well-known MM girl at the moment. She's the only one who seems to get any mainstream attention - even if it does happen to be negative a lot of the time :P Personally, I'm looking forward to MM under her leadership, she and Reina will do an awesome job, I'm sure.

As for DMM, they're disbanding in a few months, actually. They were never meant to be a permanent thing, I guess.

Thanks for the explanation! I didn't know Sayumi was older than Reina! Is DMM disbanding? Really? But they were supposed to release a new single soon weren't they? Well, then when they disband my interest for the H!P will be officially over.

I kind of agree with this. The latest generations don't interest me at all, and I don't care enough to get to know them. With Ai gone and now Risa leaving my interest is pretty non-existent :/

Actually I'm a bit surprised, this is the first single after Aichan graduation, but hey, the numbers are quite high, I thought it's gonna be low.

So that means Morning Musume popularity isn't fading out.

Well, as long as it's a part of AKB48, they will get the same spotlight like AKB before.

^ Wow, I can't say I'm that surprised actually. She hasn't even really performed with the group in like a year or so. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner if anything.

The saddest and most disappointing thing from this news is:
Aika graduating same day as Risa. Risa deserves her own graduation. I won't complain if she's graduating with Ai.

Why Gaki never had her personal spotlight?
She always got something, overshadowed by anything...

Anyway, I'm kinda sad with Aika, she must be so sad as well right now, she's not even my favorite member but still...

As I wrote on another forum, I was really hoping that one day her foot would be better and that she could be an active member again. While she was never my top favorite, I grew to like her a lot and she was really nice at Anime Expo 2009. I actually wrote her a page for the fanbook given there because she had so few pages. :( At least she's staying in H!P.

As for combining her graduation concert with Gaki's, I wish that they could had separate graduations, or have announced Aika's at the same time as Gaki's or something. But it is what it is.

i wish they made it after risa's just to have a proper farewell to both members... 8th gen members are so shafted... im so disappointed with Tsunku how he handled the 8th gen.

i just wish Aika had another single with the members.. even a slow one so she could be in all the shots. oh well.

I wonder how the group will look with only 2 old members, Sayumi can't sing too much lines and I hope they don't give all the lines of the songs to Reina either.

I think Riho is even more popular than Sayumi and Reina now (Inside Momusu's fanbase) but I wonder which new member they will pick to give more spotlight to, I've seen Ayumi has potential but she can't sing very well. On the other side Haruka has potential too but she's so little.

Very likely I think Reina, Sayu, and Riho will be the ones to carry the group..given the remaining years left for the only two platinum era girls left.

Riho will be the new Ai and possibly Mizuki or Eripon or Haruka or Ayumi(whomever they decided to give the push) will be the new Reina that's after Reina/Sayu leaves..just the thought of that scares me a little because having Haruna as the new leader(if they go by age) or Mizuki(if they go by seniority)

Lets not think of what will happen if reina/sayu leaves. Its just breaking my heart. Im still dealing with Aika's sudden announcement. Sigh.

Surprisingly, I really enjoy this song. I first started paying attention to them when they released Nanchatte and didn't like any song till Renai Hunter that much, but these last two singles are raising my interest again. I still think that AKB48s songs are way better, but I like the new girls and if they can keep up this level, they might get more popular again.

I read that the korean trainee (that has been around doing nothing for about 2 years in H!P) is currently performing as a Hello! Project Egg in the upcoming concerts. This and that the current Morning Musume auditions are being held right now could be a sign of a new foreign member in Momusu!?

and if the korean girl gets more exposure than the pandas, that would be really a slap on the face for the poorly promoted gen ever!. :(

For a total of 48,742 copies sold this week becoming the best-selling H!P kids release ever.

Can't believe it, Morning Musume's new single is near to broke the 100k copies sold mark!!

yeah. upon hearing that news, i bought another 4 copies (the regular ones) today... unfortunately, i think they wont be counted on time for the first weekly sales... but they will still be counted for the total sales! yey!

go MOMUSU!

What we actually need to know is their progress after this 50th single release, hopefully it's not just because a certain special event or something like that, all those promotion finally paid off.

Well...how about this - a record that Ayu cannot even touch - 50 consecutive #1 singles for a female artist!

I mean, despite the stiff competition, Momusu is still strong... I still remember when Ayu's major competition for Sunrise/Sunset single two years ago was Momusu...

I'm SO proud of them and for the current gen ESPECIALLY Sayu and Reina to experience this kind of achievement is AMAZING :D JOB WELL DONE MoMuSU :D :D :D

I'm impressed they did it without Ai, I thought their singles were going to sell 20k-30k after Ai and Gakki's graduation. But I'm sad too for Ai, though they got #1 with Shouganai Yume Koibito they deserved better sales too...
