ayu shooting new PV somewhere in the Middle East

Source: http://www.jpopasia.com/news/ayumi-h...ast::9820.html

This is pretty awesome news. Makes me think the song is going to be something like INSPIRE and Don't look back. I guess that's silly though, basing that just on the location of the PV filming, haha.

All these little details are so agonizing! I need an announcement and release date ASAP!

YUKARI 19th January 2012 04:11 AM

INSPIRE *____*

Kazeyomi 19th January 2012 04:16 AM

if her new song would sounds like INSPIRE I could die happy :laugh.
But I wouldn't mind a heavy-rockish song like talkin' 2 myself :3 with a post-apocalyptic/war PV in the desert.
Also, the Middle East it's great for epic ballads. Lol there are so many possibilities, we have just to be patient I guess.

AyumiAi 19th January 2012 04:18 AM

OMG this is awesome news! :D I hope she takes full advantage of the beautiful landscape there!

pommy48 19th January 2012 04:19 AM

So awesome! I hope she doesn't just shot it in a fancy hotel or something >_>

Pieces_of_SEVEN 19th January 2012 04:23 AM

And ironically enough, INSPIRE was filmed in LA XD

TeamAyu2004 19th January 2012 04:32 AM

i still think it would sound more like brillante based on location alone...

Pieces_of_SEVEN 19th January 2012 04:36 AM

^^If it was a masterpiece like BRILLANTE, then I guess that's great, but I really want a lot of awesome upbeat tracks.

femtrooper 19th January 2012 04:38 AM

I hope it's more of a heavy song with slight darkness, like Microphone. The setting there would be amazing!!! Or who knows, it could be something like Party Queen!!!

cosmicfirefly 19th January 2012 05:20 AM

Cool! I'm so excited for this album!

adantatu2 19th January 2012 05:32 AM

Another song like Don't look back or Inspire is really interesting

Yumsushi 19th January 2012 05:33 AM

I'm going to look like a real B&^&^ but it always baffles me when I see people confusing the Middle East with India and other Southeast Asia. I know wikipedia is down but if you look up what the Middle East constitutes India and Thailand are not in the middle east. They are all in Asia but that does not make them the same. INSPIRE is Thai inspired more than anything. Brillante is confusing because of its drums but the strings and creepy choir are not common to anything Middles Eastern. The Zither in Don't look back is more Indian than Arabic, however the violin-like parts are reminiscent of arabic music so that's probably the closest to a 'Middle Eastern' song she has come.

It takes more than black eyeliner and baggy pants to make a song "Middle East" inspired. With that said, I hope she does something post apocalyptic in the desert like in Kazeyomi's post.

Aderianu 19th January 2012 05:40 AM

I think Middle East can means only Dubai

Tony G 19th January 2012 05:42 AM

Abu Dhabi?

TeamAyu2004 19th January 2012 05:47 AM

I was going for the look of Brillante and not the sound to make a reference to the Middle east.

And if you want to get technical about it.. India is the middle east and what people are referring to when they say the middle east now-a-days is actually the Near East.

Yumsushi 19th January 2012 05:53 AM

India is not in the Middle East. Its not even in the near East. Both terms refer to an area that doesn't go further than Iran and India is east of Iran.

femtrooper 19th January 2012 05:56 AM

I hope she does something like that too! It would be really cool. I want her to do something 'out there' and slightly different!

ayumisrael 19th January 2012 05:58 AM

Yeah she has been only in Dubai or Abu Dabi, I wish she would come to my country :laugh

femtrooper 19th January 2012 06:02 AM

^Me too!!! I would seriously have a freak out if I met her! But yeah, I LOVE the location!

brener 19th January 2012 06:16 AM

if she shoot a video here in brazil she'll probably be shot as well... jk! it would be awesome if she came here =\

Bigtop 19th January 2012 06:29 AM

Whoa...to the MIDDLE EAST!? :thud

Oh no... I'm now getting more uncomfortable here...

ayumisrael 19th January 2012 06:38 AM

Well I live in the middle east but it's probably not my country (Dubai, Abu dabi) XD

pepper 19th January 2012 07:17 AM

I think PV can be inspired by anything and song would not even match up (for example steampunkish STEP you PV + STEP you a cutesy pop itself...) So it can be reaaaaly anything. Even a hip hop song lol.

Bad Wolf 19th January 2012 07:17 AM

eh, I personally hope it doesn't sound like INSPIRE. Not really a fan of that one. But location isn't always an indication of how the song will sound, so I'm not upset :3

ayumint 19th January 2012 07:34 AM

Regarding to the news, they said that there are new 12 songs with 4 PVs.

emi♡ 19th January 2012 07:40 AM

Well, considering how much the Middle East and India have influenced each other over the centuries, I think its not all that crazy people assume...

Shes most likely in the UAE. Maybe she'll go out in the desert!

C+R+E+AYUMI 19th January 2012 07:48 AM

hoping for a great real landscape PV

AyuHamasaki01 19th January 2012 08:11 AM

Wow I really hope for something like INSPIRE :D

Aderianu 19th January 2012 08:44 AM

I expect ballad with "Stop War!" theme

saigodansu 19th January 2012 08:50 AM

It might be another PV with military involvement like the one riding a tank in London.

Earth_maiden 19th January 2012 11:30 AM

AHS ~ DRAMA IS ALL~ :heart

Nothing is PC anymore.

inspire_rmx 19th January 2012 11:43 AM

hoping for an upbeat song =) can't wait for the new single/album

Gustavopc 19th January 2012 11:48 AM

wow, this surprised me :laugh Hope she's shooting a pv for a song like GAME / 1 LOVE

YUKARI 19th January 2012 02:36 PM

I miss ayu now t.t wanna see her new pic or something... ayu, please, give us some hint t.t

I actually suppose she's in Dubai working on a new PV but also relaxing very well there after the divorce...

RayJason 19th January 2012 02:43 PM

I hope she's there to relax and to recover a bit. I want her to bring me Japan, not western things.

truehappiness 19th January 2012 02:49 PM

Well, none of the PVs have been done in Japan so far it seems.

freedreamer 19th January 2012 02:50 PM

^wasnt there one in Japan after the 3 in London?

I wasn't saying she had done it in Japan so far. I don't want her to go all western, but that's just me. I like the Asian culture and influences therefore I like PV's like Rule (eastern) more than, PV's like Mirrorcle World (western). Whatsoever, they always turn out pretty good. :)

KPL 19th January 2012 03:21 PM

Usually when it comes to ayu's music, there is always a set of mismatched themes.

Don't look back - indian music + self-reflective lyrics + music video shot in a modern room

INSPIRE - Rock music + shot in L.A. + Indian/Middle-East imagery

BRILLANTE - More like an Asian history drama theme kind of music + Egyptian costume + Shot in a modern studio..

So I don't really expect the music itself to be that exotic.

i'm happy ayu's shooting a new PV! i wonder where in the middle east she is. i'm sure it's gonna be a good PV, anyway. :P

saigodansu 20th January 2012 12:51 AM

one of her staff mentioned a shoot in Tokyo after Hawaii, so I think by the time she's done in the middle east she will have atleast 7 pvs. The rate the did pvs at in LA, my guess would be 3 from London, 2-4 from Japan, 2 from Hawaii and 2-3 from the middle east.

This just has to happen, but it'll probably be like the Sunrise/Sunset PVs and she'll just stand there xD

ayu-fan 20th January 2012 03:40 AM

anything 'artistic' like RAINBOW/Endless sorrow/ourselves would be great. its funny how great her earlier pvs were, i'm not really into her recent pvs.

primavera♥ 20th January 2012 03:52 AM

i hope it really is something exotic. that would be exciting i guess...wherever she is.

Tony G 20th January 2012 05:27 AM

Hopefully these PVs are far better than the FIVE ones, we need another Ayu release where every PV is perfect.

and it is confirmed she's filming a PV for party queen? Really hope she doesn't waste a video on that crappy song.

saigodansu 20th January 2012 05:46 AM

It was already filmed in London. They did a PV about a party in a London apartment so I don't think that could've been anything else.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 20th January 2012 05:47 AM

^^No, we don't know if party queen will be getting a PV. Probably though.

femtrooper 20th January 2012 05:48 AM

I'd love to see a video for Party Queen! Love that song!

YuriChan 20th January 2012 05:54 AM

^Me too! :heart Maybe the song will be kind of angst with a desert setting like this video.

if you know any middle eastern people no matter what their ethnic and religion, you will discover that most of us like to party, sing and dance hard
and beside it is true desert is in our culture and camel and all stuff and i'm proud of it but MIDDLE EAST IS MORE THEN A DESERT
middle east is more diverse than what you think

No offensive to arab culture in our message. If you believe arab is diverse, then stop being narrow mind and believe that we are being ignorance to look at your culture.

Anyway, is it possible to have 2PVs for 1 song :P?

I agree though I think that the bridge instrumental in Don't look back and ourselves instrumental between chorus and verses are her most middle eastern sounds others (and all of kuu's songs) are mainly indian sounding.

Imagine if Ayu shot a video in Petra or Antalya. But then again, I just want a meaningful pv from her without the extravagant scenery, nothing like most of the stuff on Love songs.

Kotora is generally antagonistic. No need to trouble yourself any further, Empress.

I would love a video from Ayu similar to Amuro's Love story video. It looks so natural and she's not acting or doing anything weird, but you're able to see the natural beauty in everything; Amuro, the scenery, the song, etc.
