they're not big, they're just the basic screens. And there's not a lot like AT06 and AT10, which was kinda disappointing given the length and depth of the special screens.

It's more dramatic when you see it live, the whole arena black out with only a single spotlight on her when she sings this part. Then she lowered her head and the song changed back to the normal beat

Queen Bee 17th April 2012 02:48 AM

^After listening to it I wish they would have had the "I am a lonely queen" part in the studio version as well.

sitara 17th April 2012 12:09 PM

^ where can i listen to the live version? i'm very intrigued.
hope a video of this will pop up sometime soon ^^

LacusClyne 17th April 2012 12:54 PM

^I had uploaded some tracks to the download section, please check there. I'll upload the others when I have time.

sitara 17th April 2012 04:02 PM

very surprising edit indeed! surely that caught everybody off guard.
can't wait to see the live in future.

Yea, the "lonely queen" part in "Party queen" was really intense. I was at the April 14th show at Osaka-Jo Hall. When the lights when out, and the music stopped so suddenly I didn't know what was going on. Then when ayu started singing "I am the lonely queen" my heart sank. It was so sad, she looked and sounded so sad that I was on the verge of tears. Then when the music an lights suddenly started back up again I didn't know what to feel.

TeamAyu2004 17th April 2012 05:33 PM

that sounds sad... It makes me feel sad for ayumi...
I want to see this concert! I hope she adds more dates!

PoetGirl 17th April 2012 06:51 PM

After hearing live version of Party Queen I wish this version was added as a secret track on the album like Party Queen ~lonely queen ver.~ its much sadder and more beautiful

ayumisrael 17th April 2012 06:52 PM

Yeah I just wanted to say I wish we had a Party queen ~lonely queen~ version too haha.
It's epic.

tokyoxjapanxfan 19th April 2012 06:52 AM

So when this tour was first mentioned, people were concerned about whether or not Ayu would be able to attend a-nation this year, but (I don't think this has been posted yet?) a-nation 2012 is very different this year. The "stadium" performances are only at Osaka and Tokyo, while "music week" is held in Shibuya from the 3rd of August until the 12th.

There hasn't been any artist lists yet, but I just wanted to say that assuming the tour doesn't get extended, there's still a chance Ayu could appear at the Osaka and Tokyo dates, which are the 18th and 19th (Osaka) and 25th and 26th (Chofu).

Didn't want to make a new thread just yet, since there's no artist list.
http://a-nation.net/index.html

truehappiness 19th April 2012 09:09 AM

Talk about odd. I wonder why they changed it up.

TeamAyu2004 19th April 2012 02:48 PM

I wonder if a-nation is not as popular as it once was... it seems to me that a lot of avax tracks artist are kinda going down hill. ( unless some of the groups are part of avex and I just dont know it.)

ayu_ready? 19th April 2012 03:05 PM

avex as a whole just goes downhill. it's lazy and not willing to renovate itself. not seeking boom artists like Ayu & Kuu, new artists suck (ICONIQ, wtf happened?), it's just not the best in my opinion

Max should look up to Papa YG, okay, because he's crazy but amazingly modern & fresh

maybe they changed because the number of people who attend it has decreased? maybe because last year was bad? or just cutting budget

SunshineSlayer 19th April 2012 03:53 PM

Yep, I'm pretty sure that is the reason. Those stadiums are huge and none of the artists on their label really have that kind of selling power, especially not for a series of dates across the country.

Andrenekoi 19th April 2012 04:05 PM

^Isn't Exile big anymore? I believe Namie could have the power to sell out the stadiums, but is not like she gives a crap about A-Nation xD

ayu_ready? 19th April 2012 04:12 PM

EXILE, Ayu & other artists, which are top avex, will go on being forever, really, and earn, not maybe much, but they are a type of artist people will always come & see, i think...

Andrenekoi 19th April 2012 04:24 PM

Koda is touring halls right now, so, I doubt a stadium is a possibility... Otsuka also never had that big of a concert selling power (that's a pity, girl is a great performer)... BoA's fame is long gone... Tohoshinki is dead... who else is noteworthy on Avex?

They have to sell out a stadium tour based on the fame of Exile and Ayu/TRF legendary status... Yeah, seens hard...

MissElin_ 19th April 2012 04:28 PM

^Tohoshinki is dead? Not what I heard recently...

But yes, I think Avex pretty much heads downhill. Even though Namie and EXILE are still huge.

Andrenekoi 19th April 2012 04:44 PM

^Woah, I thoght they didn't have survived the scandal thing! So, I don't get why A-Nation isn't running as usual, considering 4 big artists is good enough to atrack enough people and sell out stadiums... o,o

Evolution7/4 19th April 2012 04:52 PM

All these damn K-Pop groups and AKB48 LOL but seriously, I am in Japan now and that is all there is!!! hahaha

TeamAyu2004 19th April 2012 05:11 PM

^ did you move there or just visit?

I forgot all about Exile! but there sales are going down and dont know how a stadium would sell out with them...
I wish avex would turn it around, I mean, back in the mid 2000's they were on top... I miss those days...

EDIT:
And what scandal thing for Tohoshinki?

Evolution7/4 19th April 2012 05:14 PM

^I am at university here.

TeamAyu2004 19th April 2012 05:21 PM

Some members sued their korean label because of some abusive aspects of their contract (as usual on K-pop industry), this eventually made some members to leave the band.

Or something like that, I'm not a Toho fan, so I don't really know much about it.

Isn't more like, all of these music companies do worse than before? Like, Johnny's isn't what they was before either. At least if you compare with like 5 years ago. The only thing going well these days is idols who is way easier to see and meet than regular artists (like AKB48) or the Korean artists. I think the J-pop scene should get some inpsiration form the K-pop scene. Like, K-pop can be found on YouTube (full videos, just like AKB48) and music services like Spotify. It's great promotion in days like these.

But overall, the global music scene should follow the digital developments more.

Andrenekoi 19th April 2012 05:51 PM

Japanese music market works very... stupid towards internet, it's not even funny.

I was amazed once I noticed AKB48 channel as full subtitled videos o,o Why aren't Ayu, Hikki, Namie, Koda putting their subtitled videos online?!

TeamAyu2004 19th April 2012 05:53 PM

I think that is a major problem...
Japanese companies don';t really track digital sales like America does.

Because i mean, sales are down, but where is it all going?
I hope everyone is not going to pirate all their music!

njanjayrp 19th April 2012 07:34 PM

Imo that's pretty much the only thing they should do the way Korean companies do and NOTHING else. Oh and even DBSK aren't as popular as they were 3-4 years ago. Their popularity in Japan has decreased from their golden days.

ayu_ready? 19th April 2012 09:08 PM

I think it might be just a crisis of ideas and certainly new modern kpop takes inspiration from old jpop lol

Andrenekoi 19th April 2012 09:23 PM

^I was listening to some old school kpop and both genres always had a lot of similarities...

setsuka 20th April 2012 02:50 AM

I don't think it is as bad as they have to go to Kpop lengths

EXILE sales aren't dipping what so ever and all their tours that are huge aren't really sliding, lmao

I think album sales are just becoming less an important factor and more so touring, TVXQ actually sold out their dome tour pretty fast, they aren't suffering either

the only people who are the newbies, AVEX hasn't had a breakout star in a long time and their over promoted ones have flopped hard like GND and Iconiq

random rant, just I think they don't care about international fans just yet since they aren't that important to them like Kpop

I do think they are changing like all of C'kay and Perfume recent releases who have a strong overseas fanbase are getting faster itunes releases worldwide
I don't get why Ayu doesn't do this or Kumi, avex needs to more ahead of the times like the used to be, UMJ is beating them
-----------------

I am still sad no Like A Doll, also love all the fan write ups

freedreamer 20th April 2012 05:34 AM

Thing is, K-POP market themselves as a market. You have different companies which fans see as families to that extent. When you see K-pop artistes, you link them to one another...this is not the same for J-Pop, where there are too many artistes and you can't see them as ONE. At least thats how I see it..

Exile and Namie could, but I am not sure for a full tour. Plus when I made that statement I wasn't counting them. :) Their publisher is AVEX but their management is not so they don't always go to A-Nation.

Last year I thought them inviting AKB48 to perform was a sign that ticket sales were down. At every date each year they have always had a "surprise" artist from a different label perform at the show - but it was always truly a surprise, not something that was promoted before hand. When I went Remioromen performed. But last year was the first time they actually announced and promoted who the surprise artist would be.

I never really understood this concept until today. I find it extremely interesting.

Anyway, the genius of the kpop market is all into their promotion. Not just how much of it they do, but also how they do it.

Anything to hook people and sell the whole package~

It's kinda like AKB48 or Perfume. Is the music even really the most important thing with them? lol

I thought they had SEVERAL surprise artists last year [and maybe the year before that too] since X JAPAN and a few others popped up?

TeamAyu2004 21st April 2012 02:37 PM

I just hope this whole fad of having a few groups dominate the charts is about to be over...
its sad really.

douggn 21st April 2012 02:46 PM

With ayus avdvertisment, AVEX does seem lazy. Like what. happened to the Duty, I am... and MY STORY type CM's (Love songs CM included). Or even the DVD menu with ayus DVD's, nothing special. I think though ayu will always sell her tour tickets and always liked to be seen live despite her CD sales. I think people would rather download than buy though. You cant pirate something which isnt released. Though this may be ayus choice. I think ayu could climb back to the top but she would have to give her soul back to avex. Im just happy if its what she wants, and if she happy with it, than as a fan, thats all I can ask for :)

douggn 21st April 2012 02:49 PM

Though I do think downloading/etc and not buying has a big role in declining sale

ayu_ready? 21st April 2012 03:29 PM

^what about AKB & KARA huge sales at this time of high-developed digital downloads then?

TeamAyu2004 21st April 2012 04:01 PM

wow... 2 who groups out of how many people making music!
Man talk about a revolution.

AKB are what you call phenomenal. Besides, they still dont match the album sales of 10 years ago.
As a whole the physical side of the sales as gone drastically down.

They, at least idol groups like AKB48 (not sure about KARA, though I wouldn't be surprised), always offer handshaking tickets and other goods like that with their singles. You can't get those with digital releases. Plus, at least with AKB48, there's 48 members... with Ayu, there's one. Only so many people like Ayu, yet millions of people could like AKB48 because there's 48 of them.

LacusClyne 21st April 2012 06:13 PM

^actually in AKB48, there's at least 64 of them in different teams, and having so many members, the media exposure is much higher as different members get different jobs offer. Their CMs are all over Japan with different members.

And yes, the handshaking coupon is the major bait to get people to buy the CDs.

its sad really.

Groups always were big in Asia, and this no surprise considering how their culture perceive the idea of individual x group... It's not really a fad.

you gotta realise they're not first and foremost selling the tracks / the music on those CDs. When the most important segment of their fanbase buy 50 copies to win a prize or something not at all related to the music but to one of the paricipants, no wonder they get sales far out of the ordinary. Same goes for handshake events that have been mentioned here, if they can make each person buy one extra CD per handshake and they have that many girls in the group it can of course increase sales quite a bit.

Japanese CD sales have always been pretty front loaded, but these days it's gotten to the point where you can pretty much tell that only people that follow an artist vigorously, usually core fans, buy CDs and so the sales aren't necessarily indicating any sort of mainstream popularity of a track. It doesn't just go for idol groups, but any artist really.

I might be in the wrong thread to ask this, but did anyone who attended the concerts get this limited photobook Leslie did? It'd be interesting to know some more about what's inside or seeing scans. :)

(sorry for interrupting the ongoing conversation:P)

relmy 22nd April 2012 12:02 AM

The whole "declining sales" mess would be fixed if Oricon got it's act together and started counting digital sales.

Although, then you'd have the problem of how a loot of the downloads are ringtone downloads, which you can't really chart alongside full track downloads or buying a single.

I didn't say all groups I said a few.
If you look at last year's chart, it was AKB and her sister groups that were about 60 our of the 100... it was horrible.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 22nd April 2012 04:00 AM

Oricon should have their own digital sales chart, but they should focus on trying to count all the damn physical sales first, including all the ones they sell at the concert venues, not just some stupid percentage.

TeamAyu2004 22nd April 2012 04:12 AM

^ there really is no way to track that though. they could go by what the company tells them, but there is no way to know if that its the real number.
I think thats why they only track a "few" of the copies.

They only do the percentage thing now because apparently some labels tried to cheat and submit numbers that were overinflated/false during events.

The thing I found interesting about AKB48 though, is how long their singles stayed on the Oricon after the events they were tied to had passed. Many even appeared in the following years top 100. Heavy Rotation came out in 2010 but is #52 on the 2011 yearly chart (http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/js/y/2011/more/3/), Beginner was #92 and Ponytail was #100 (http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/js/y/2011/more/5/).

lol The conversation going on has nothing to do with this thread, which is the tour thread. Interesting conversation, but yours is more relevant ;) (It may have been relevant at first, but now it's not...not to this thread, anyway.)

The tour blog posted a picture with one person who got the book. (There may have been more than one, but when I checked about a week or so ago, they just posted one picture.) It's very, very hard to win the book. There's only so many copies of the book and eyelashes. Most people were winning posters from the draw.

yeah I noticed that picture of the winner, she didn't look happy though lol

call has replaced Letter in the encore starting with the second Osaka show.

TeamAyu2004 23rd April 2012 07:14 AM

^ aw, i like both songs so much! She should just do both and get it over with!

Earth_maiden 23rd April 2012 08:38 AM

I bet we won't hear either on the DVD, it will be an upcoming single or something. That's what I hate about earlier live shows, we end up missing out when it comes to DVD. :(

ayumisrael 23rd April 2012 09:09 AM

It would be nice if they would always make dvds/blu-rays with the extras like they did with PoL (even though they didn't shoot blossom in).

I like Letter more than call but if it's a new song replacing them later I won't mind :)

Ikr. Like Last Links and meaning of LOVE in AT10. Thankfully I got to see those songs live but they really should have got into the DVD. Especially Last Links. Booh.

If she/we/I have to choose I want Letter on the DVD instead of call anyday.

Earth_maiden 23rd April 2012 05:30 PM

^I'm so disappointed we didn't get those, plus alterna!! Did you see it live at AT10? Last angel was pretty awesome, but I wanted alterna more... :thud

QUESTION. Is there only 5 types of this strap, or 10?

http://www.yesasia.com/global/ayumi-...0-en/info.html

Becasue Yesasia says there's 5 types, but the live report from Misa chan's translation says there's 10, I think...

ayuuk 23rd April 2012 05:35 PM

^There are only 5 types.

The 10 in the picture is saying that one person can only buy a maximum of 10 straps. (I guess it's a popular item, or people are just addicted to collecting different colors haha)

LacusClyne 23rd April 2012 06:03 PM

^yup. the key strap has 5 design and one person is only entitled to buy maximum 10. And yes, it is very popular at the concert. They were sold out on 8th April when I was there.

haha, I didn't really read through it. Just wanted to make sure I'm not interrupting something important.;)

Thanks for the info. I saw some inside photos on twitter and it looks so nice, with all the smiling fans and such.
I'd love to have this book, a shame it can only be won at concert venues.

Ahhhh, okay, thanks. I thought maybe there was 5 with the leopard print design and 5 that were just coloured, like the hotel straps. I ordered two on mumo, hoping I get a pink or purple one. Or both. :thud

Oh yes yes yes. alterna. I would change alterna back in the DVD ANY DAY. I went to that live three times, all of them with alterna. I saw Last Angel later on CDL10-11. And yes it's a good song but not nearly as good as alterna. :smitten

Pieces_of_SEVEN 28th April 2012 06:41 AM

Can't believe how underwhelmed I am by the setlist. Ah well. There's a good chance I'll be attending CDL, so hopefully she pulls out her best for that!

I'm looking forward to the performances of:

03.reminds me
04.Tell me why
05.appears
07.Shake It♥
08.STEP you
09.NaNaNa
10.Sparkle
13.Return Road
15.Ladies Night
16.Party queen
21.how beautiful you are

...I guess that's a nice chunk of the concert, but, meh...

Soooooooooooooooo.....
Just landed back home 2 hours ago xD
Japan was fantastic, Ayu was fantastic *_* (too bad we had to leave after the next LOVE to reach the last Shinkansen back to Kyoto <.<)
We were at 21st April Fukuoka Show^^ When we arrived at the venue the Hoodies were sold out allready <.< So we bought Cookies, Uchiwa, Light Stick, Bag (to carry all that stuff xD) and 15 Ayupans (we got a whole set^^)(some other Goods I allready pre-ordered at YA) Then I went to TA stand to get my Room sign 8got the one were she writes on the mirrow) and then to the CD stand to buy Party Queen CD Only (for the lucky draw) and LS Playbutton.
Then i grabbed into the box and picked out a red ball and the men on the stand became big eyes and another rang a bell and all were congratulating me, and guess what?, one time in my life I had draw luck xD

Our seats were also pretty good, Row 20, place 64/63. We were ap. 15m away from the runway, almost at the height of the bsmall front stage. I didnīt need the monitors to see Ayu xD (and omg she is so small xD) It was a bit sad that the show was so similar to CDL except for the songs, but I really liked the outfit of Shake it/STEP you, soooo cute *_* Too bad we had to leave after the next LOVE, but trip was planned long before, concert was only a gimick (we only planned Kyoto + Tokyo, so Fukuoka was a day trip just for the concert xD)
But it was still fantastic to see her live *_* It was worth it defionatly, even for only the half concert xD (next time I plan my trip arrount the concert, this time it was only a inclution to our wedding trip)

Pieces_of_SEVEN 28th April 2012 08:37 AM

^^That's fantastic! I'm glad to hear that you had an amazing time! Hopefully I can have that experience one day too! :D

~angel*ayumi~ 28th April 2012 10:07 AM

Yes they did xD
And yes I will definatly make some Photos of the book after i unpacked all (took the photo in the hotel^^) my suitcase still stands in the floor starring at me and calling "open me" xD

Chritopher 28th April 2012 10:14 AM

Guys, can you please give link to a thread that explains how and where I can buy tickets for the show, because I've got no idea, except for Yahoo auctions.

Evolution7/4 28th April 2012 10:16 AM

^ here! http://www.ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70001 Best bet is scalpers the day of the show, or the reseller shop YOKOHAMA ticket. Check what tickets they have/slash what location http://www.yokohamaticket.co.jp/tick...cket-music.cgi store it is at (Shibuya, Ueno, or Shinjuku) The only thing is that is for Tokyo area shows. Other places, you have a 99.9% chance of scalpers the day of the show!

Thank you so much! Can I also count on http://ticket.kyodotokyo.com for Osaka Jo Hall concert in July? I read that tickets are available since April but I don't see them for July show there. How much do scalpers usually charge?

Can't wait to see some of your pics!

I'm looking at Osaka Jo Hall tickets right now and I see 3 variants:
1) Numbered (?) seats (指定)
2) Stage side seats (ステージサイド席)
3) Elevated (立見)
Can you please tell me which one I should choose if I want to be close to the stage?
