i'm kind of dissapointed with flashback.. :( i was expecting something else
not that i don't like it, just that i expected more. I hope the MV makes me like the song more ^^ but i'm liking all the other songs on the single <3 |
I was also expecting something different for Flash Back, but still, it's awesome IMO ♥
It's been on repeat mode since I finished listening to the full thing ♥ Eyeline is amazing too, dark electro style. I do prefer the japanese version of Rip Off, though, it feels weird to hear it in korean after so many plays of the Jp version x) I really liked Timeless, it's the kind of sweet ballads I like the most :) 손목시계 was nice too, not my fav, but still. Overall a really good maxi single from the girls, now I can't wait to get my copies in my hands :D |
I didn't expect anything (I'm almost always disappointed after listening to teasers), so I'm pleasently suprised by Flashback. My only complain would be that the chorus lacks a bit of energy? But I'm sure I will like the song more after seeing the MV :).

I totally love the MV, I think Ka Eun got a lot of screentime if we compare it to when E-young first debuted, but that's just my opinion. The MV is so awesome :heart I totally love it! |
Just heard the song and watched !!!!! Omg I really quite like it at the moment hahaha..this song feels like Virgin meets electro. Juyeon is amazinggggggg. I love the beat of the song and raina's high note rocks :)
edit: growing on me!!! Lizzy's opening sounds very "Super Sexy". After School never relied on hooks in songs anyway. This is a song with a proper damn melody!!! :D |

"FLASHBACK" truly is their best song since "Bang!".
Well "Dilly Dally" I guess technically is, but when Koreans release Japanese Material, it's cycle is weird so I feel as if it hasn't even been released yet. No performances or anything. |
After watching their performance, I feel truly sorry for the girls. They are good performers, have okay voices, are absolutely stunning and have interesting concepts, but somehow the song always fails them. I like Flashback, and I liked Shampoo, but I did not love them the same as Bang! or BoY. Excellent album material, but just not good enough as a single.
And judging by the fact that the digital sales are rather bad, this won't be the success they could have if they'd only get another outstanding song like BoY again :cry. |

.This Comeback performance was the first time where I was rooting for and paying attention to E-Young. She has a quiet maturity in the video and the onstage performance and she finally SHINED during her moment in the lead front while dancing and with actually song lines to sing and everything as if they finally trust her to be a contributing member of the group or something. I feel she's stepping up her game to humble the newbie before she gets too confident.
She's like the likable underdog and I actually like E-Young now. I hope E-Young's momentum doesn't stop. Keep the eye make up too. And Joo-yeon looks like Yuri from Girls' Generation. And Raina looks like Spoiler:

Because of you will always be my all-time favorite A.S. song and MV. That song has a little of everything, Rap, Dance and Ballad. My quick opinion on Flashback is its a very good single. I still don't like Rip off. I hasn't grown on me nor did the Japanese version. Flashback is pretty good dance track. It has that Madonna Vogue-like in the beginning. lol. I love the MV for Flashback. Probably my second favorite A.S. MV next to BoY. Nana solo Eyeline was good. I like the electro feel of the song and her English. lol. Her voice improve a lot. Wristwatch is a good pop ballad and Timeless is very good. Love Raina and Jungah voices. They should really do more duet together. |

I don't understand korean so I can only do a rough translation of what they said in Japanese..
E-Young said she felt sad because Kahi always supported her since her debut days. Lizzy said she was happy she could share the stage with Kahi one last time. Nana, thanks to everyone I could be happy until today, and hope to be more and more in the future.. [insert korean here] I guess she said she loved Kahi so much. Raina asked if people had fun tonight, and that she did too. And she also asked people to support all of them no matter what, and she loved Kahi ♥ Uee (who seemed super stressed), she couldn't really make a proper speech so she said that she would do her best and that she loved Kahi. Same for Juyeon. Jung A said she felt thankfull for her hapiness, and that she will never forget this day. [insert korean here] Kahi, I'm very touched by the words everyone delivered today, and I want to thank avex for this opportunity (touring staff, etc..) I waited so long for this opportunity, and even if it's my last live, I was the most happy. I love you, Everyone, I'll do my best!! Please support me in the future. So flashback has definitely grown on me with the lives. They're nailing the choreography each time and I really loved their latest Inkigayo stage~ To be completely honest they're impressing me more with their lives (and actually music, too) than SNSD has been lately (which is kind of a big deal, considering I usually prefer SNSD over all K-pop groups)
Not trying to invite a comparison or anything.. just trying to express how much I'm impressed with them lately. |

I love their clothes. This is one of my favourites performances. Kaeun looks so much better with her long and straight hair. The only problem is the really bad lip-synch when Kaeun try to sing Nana's rap. |

They looked so fresh and happy i really liked it, except the wardrobe for Jung ah made her look older than she is >.< I'm really happy they gave Ka eun a chance to shine by giving her Nana's solo part, she didnt try to copy nana and did her own things which was really nice :) I feel like with more polish Kaeun can become a strong force in AS
