The Remo-con remix was so much better, besides the only thing I liked from Osawa was probably namie's ROCK U, I don't like any remix he has done...

Shinichi's mixes are always terrible. His production does little to enhance the melody of the original track. Remo-con's was badass to begin with. Very creative, attention to detail. Love it.

Why? She use to release remix albums out of the @@@... wish she still did that, but understand that she just doesnt command that kind of power anymore.
But if Kuu can release two not even 6 months apart then ayumi can release a new set every year.
(granted we also got 4 about a year and a half ago.)

Exactly, she used to. Keep in mind that from 2005-2012 we only had 2 ayu-mix releases and MY STORY Classical. Now considering the last ayu-mix wasn't released so long ago, I'd say we'll prolly wait a couple of years before we get a new release.

shinichi osawa is extremely overrated...and this is no exception. i was excited because it's a new remix, but he just sucks. i'm sure i'll almost never listen to this.

Shinichi's mix is okay, but his stuff as Shinichi Osawa is so repetitive. And considering his past as Mondo Grosso and the composition skills I KNOW he has, his stuff as Shinichi Osawa is so freaking disappointing. >_< Namie's song "Naked" is kind of awesome, but that's about it.

Anyone got a DL link for the long remo-con remix yet? I actually really liked the radio edit of that one, call me crazy but I thought it was kinda awesome.

I don't think ayu-mi-x will release any time soon, but it could be getting ready for one of the products for her 15th year , which is next year.

It was awesome - not only was it lightyears ahead of the original mix, but the effort put into a remix of that nature, where there are so many shifts and noises, is what I call a really nice piece of work.

Wasn't feeling either one of them to be honest.

Excuse me, but that's nothing but a matter of personal taste. Just because he did a couple of awful remixes for Ayumi (appears, Startin') doesn't mean the rest of his works are equally bad...in fact they don't do any justice to the rest of his other works. He was part of "ravex" along with Taku Takahashi (m-flo) and Tomoyuki Tanaka (Fantastic Plastic Machine). Also his albums "The One" and "SO2" are one of the best electro albums to come out of Japan, and his remix catalog is full of well-crafted works. He also produced Namie Amuro's "SHAKE IT", "ROCK YOU" and "WHAT A FEELING".

These are a few of my favorite remixes made by him:

• Anna Tsuchiya - Ah Ah (Shinichi Osawa Remix)

• Digitalism - Pogo (Shinichi Osawa Remix)

• Rubies - Stand In A Line (Shinichi Osawa Remix)

• Main Street Electrical Parade (Disneyland)

He also had some nice work with Nobuchika Eri. I don't really like his remixes with Ayu at all though... maybe it'd be different if he were arranging/composing?

To be fair, everything you just listed is also personal taste.

But! I will say I gave Anna tsuchiya and the disnlandy mix's a hear over and I enjoyed those much more than the ayumi remix for you and me...
I'll have to find the others he did... I remember not liking the Startin one (but that song is just... well... yeah. lol)

I think people need to remember that any remixer can make bad remixes. For example, Armand Van Helden has done a very bad remix for INSPIRE. I got annoyed by ayu screaming GUCCI GUCCI GUCCI, GUCCI GUCCI GUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCi

However, he has done good remix for other ayu songs.

Ayu-mi-x is only ONE way to celebrate 15th anniversary. A BEST 3 perhaps will be another one way to celebrate 15th anniversary, and highly possible new materials. This assumption is based on what ayu has done in the past anniversary and 30th single celebration.

I quite like the Shinichi Osawa remix, the Remo-con remix just sounds terribly dated.

How did I forget that one? That guy is a remix genius, but that remix...omfg, it even made me angry, it's so bad! It's like he was just trolling on Ayu fans. :shakehead

The Shinichi Osawa instrumental is great! But I think it would work better as an original track...it just doesn't suit Ayu's voice.
