"Your favorite ayu 楽曲/gakkyoku (usually used to talk about singles, I think this just means songs in general not counting instrumentals) poll!"

Voting ends on the 16th, 6PM Japan time.

They are asking fans on TeamAyu for what their favorite song is from Ayu's singles, digital singles, albums, mini albums, remix albums, best albums, and analog releases.

*They mention that you should try to have the correct spelling and spacing for your vote, or it may not count... also that you should only vote for one track, so make it count!

If you don't remember, they asked for TeamAyu's favorite summer tracks before announcing A SUMMER BEST.


I'm thinking that this is going to lead to a fan selected disc on a best album. HOWEVER, there's a possibility that she is also polling to come up with the setlist for CDL like how she was coming up with PCDL's back in 2008 but I believe that they were very specific about it that time around, weren't they?

I hope people give Ayu a reason to look at ever free/Life/other tracks that have gotten ignored over the years again. LADIES NIGHT ~ANOTHER NIGHT~ TOO, PEOPLE.

Translators tell me that the spelling and capitalisation should be exact (otherwise it won't count), and I should only vote for one song.

Yeah, it seems that they only want people to vote for one track each and that it should be as correct as possible. I suppose you should probably refer to her discography page just to be safe and copy titles from there? Unless there's some other way for that starred portion to be read?

Would be kind of weird if they didn't count SPARKLE because it wasn't formatted as "Sparkle" though.

If it is related to A BEST 3, it'd probably be a supplement to the actual A BEST 3 disc.

I'd say its almost definitely for a best of. They may decide to sort them out (ballads, dance, remixes, etc) depending on the variety of submissions they get. But they are asking for tracks/pieces as opposed to songs, so my money's on a disc rather than a live event.

I chose ever free. Time to sing it live (if it has anything to do with a live) :)

They also opened it up for remixes with the A SUMMER BEST poll too, but I don't think many people will choose remixes unless they're -very- good.

hmmmm I wonder...a Fan selection Best is so pointless..at least to someone who buys most/all her CDs. I just want resung old hits...even 1 will do. i need 15th ANNIVERSARY Versions of ________.

I bet they're making a Count Down Live set list. They've done this before when they asked what was everyone's favorite live performance, and Ayu made Best Of CDL.
Because how could they put out such a random Best Of album??

Don't vote for all the super popular songs people, no matter if it's for a best-of or live performances, we have more than enough of songs like STEP you or Microphone, give the never before performed/never remixed/rerecorded/anything tracks a chance! Another song that I would have liked to vote for. :( It feels a bit ridiculous to choose 1 song out of Ayu's whole discography, I'd rather make a top 5 list.
Anyway, I voted for "End of the World". Not as underrated as "ever free" but I like it better and I want to hear Ayu sing it with the stronger voice she has now (if the poll is for a live or rerecording).

I heard about this last night, but I thought it would be like the voting from 2008 and it would be a dropdown menu with a list of all of her songs (minus remixes), not a fill-in. At this point, I'd only accept an A BEST 3. But with this knew knowledge of remixes and such being included, I wouldn't be surprised if she did a boxset with fan favorites (disc one: singles, disc two: b-sides, disc three: remixes, etc).

I chose STEP you because it is MY favourite Ayu song of all time. :yes And if this is for the CDL, I'll actually be there, and that's the song I want to see live the most out of any other song.

I still hope many people vote for less common songs though. I need performances of ever free, GUILTY, kanariya etcetera before I die xD Even if they "only" get included on a best-of, it will still increase their popularity and might make Ayu perform them again.

I never pay attention to the a best stuff because some of the songs that being up on there are the ones I don't really like.

It's probably open for remixes as well just so people can choose whatever they want like for the summer poll.

And if people do choose their 'true' favorites... we may just see a list of BLUE BIRD, Dearest, Voyage, evolution, M, walking proud, etc. Knowing how the Japanese vote, it wouldn't surprise me. But just having a few votes for the lesser known tracks would be better than nothing.

I'm torn between whether I should write my favorite song, which is RAINBOW, or if I should write another song I love which I would like to see performed live, which is no more words.

I'd vote the Ourselves remix on the forgiveness single. I was listening to it recently and it's definitely one of my favorites as far as remixes go.

It's hard to know what to vote for since I don't know if this is for a live or compilation, etc.

I guess as far as performances go... I'd like a really stunning performance of connected, if she can still sing it. Something with a lot of lights or illustrative screens.

She's really already performed most of my favorite songs.

As far as compilation? Meh, anything is fine. I love 95% of her (original) discography and I'm for any trance remixes she wants to include, particularly from ayu trance 3.

I just got back from the fan selected Koda Kumi concert and it was all ballads!

^Well, I don't believe Ayu is nice enough to let her fans pick all the setlist for themselves xD The world will collapse once she doesn't sing one of her old upbeat hits on a concert :P
