It took a while, but it seems that You were... did very well in the realm of chaku-uta! For those who don't know, double platinum means between 500,000 and 750,000 downloads.

Hope we see some other winter tracks pop up here in the next month! Keep in mind that the Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~ chaku-uta ended up being certified as double platinum as well a while back so this is rather good!

So it had like 600,000+ because the full song got gold! Cool =)

ayu sells well but slow digitally hahaha.

Together When... got triple platinum which was 750,000+. It was also Ayu's first digital single so that could have helped.

You were... is definitely one of my favorite songs. And it was a part of the single that made me love Ayu once again so I have a special place for this song in my heart. It's so beautiful, so gorgeous♥ I'm happy for the certification because this song really deserves it. :)

Btw, isn't platinum 250,000 copies and 500,000 is double platinum? Or have they changed those certification marks at some point when I wasn't watching? :O

250,000+ is platinum and 500,000+ is double platinum still. It's just that if anything sells between double and triple platinum, it'll just be 'double platinum'. For some reason, You were... was never certified until it hit double platinum.

^ They don't confer Gold or Platinum for ringtones (Chaku-utas) because it's too easy, just Double Platinum and so on. Full songs (Chaku-uta furus) may be certified Gold and Platinum. (This "full song" refers to phone download only in case anyone doesn't know)

Ah, forgot about that. There'd be way too many gold/platinum chaku-uta otherwise.
