She looks stunning! I don't care if nothing is going on! I could watch this masterpiece all day!!!

Delicious n Bold 7th December 2012 08:25 PM

soo... whats the symbolism in the video?
there must be something.

tenshi no hane 7th December 2012 08:38 PM

I kept getting the feeling a truck would appear out of nowhere or something.

She looks gorgeous though <3

mizuki-7 7th December 2012 08:53 PM

This PV let me a sad feeling but I don't know why ? lol
She is beautiful though !

tasking 7th December 2012 08:58 PM

The way she stopped singing and looking at the camera was making me uncomfortable... but I'm thinking that was her way to singing to someone who's not necessarily us.

love in music 7th December 2012 08:59 PM

That's a really cool plant and some nice looking teapot she has there..

I'm sure AHS can come up with some sort of meaning for this :P

OyTony 7th December 2012 09:01 PM

I like it. :love
It looks like she is really happy and then somebody says something to her and she is disappointed/sad and leaves. .__.

It's rather plain Romance symbolism throughout, mainly longing - with just a tiny bit of Baroque.

the main symbols for the story:
standing at the window/staring out the window -> longing for change/something you can't accomplish
green plant -> life, hope, personal growth
snow -> cleansing
walking outside into nature at the end -> reaching what you thought was impossible

She longs for something that she thinks is impossible, but goes through personal growth and a cleansing process and reaches it at the end. Pretty much the Party Queen storyline.

I might analyze it on my blog soon, it's a quite simple but rewarding video...but I really have to finish my (m)u post first xD

Larien 7th December 2012 09:05 PM

I dig it. I'm just going to whine forever about circle lenses when you're trying to convey simplicity and honest, strong emotion.

asagarichan 7th December 2012 09:05 PM

I like it!
Thank you!

MeyChan 7th December 2012 09:11 PM

So,so sad... even when she smiles...
I really like it, and she looks stunning.
Thanks!

Mari-chan 7th December 2012 09:38 PM

I like it. But first she seem to be happy..and than sad. And she really looks beautiful there.

Even though nothing's happening I really like it. It's different from her recent videos somehow, the atmosphere is really new!
Also it completely fits the song, I dunno I just like it a lot. :laugh It was soft and kinda sad, but when she's sitting at the table looking at the camera it was a little creepy... she scared me for a second LOL

BlackSilence 7th December 2012 10:04 PM

oh god, that websoite again -_-" i'm deffinitelly not gonna see it today, because i'll need at least 2 hours to load it....

Chibi-Chan 7th December 2012 10:22 PM

same she cought me off guard and that smile, omg xD

anyway, i really enjoyed the PV, it fits the song so nice, and i liked what they did with the huge painting scene ♥

truehappiness 7th December 2012 10:54 PM

I wonder if she's supposed to be the 'painter' in this PV. She's kinda dressed like one imo.

It explains why she has a gigantic painting with a ladder in front of it in her house and works with the rest of the symbolism.

Heavenly 7th December 2012 10:58 PM

This PV is simply beautiful *_*
It's a one-shot PV, the last one was Curtain Call, and before that HEAVEN and Daybreak.

I really like the part when she's standing in front of the huge painting, did you notice that the light changes at that point ? It becomes cold and blue... and then it snows XDD

BlackSilence 7th December 2012 11:00 PM

^i loved that idea! ♥

and a bunch of frames leaning against the wall at the bedroom in the begining....

would totally make sense!

Benikari47 7th December 2012 11:04 PM

Simple but pretty, and she looks beyond stunning <3
I got so sad when she stopped smiling, i was like noooooo don't be sad Ayuuuu i'll hug you! :laugh

pepper 7th December 2012 11:29 PM

did anyone noticed that she have the exact same hairstyle in one of the Wake me up/snowy kiss scenes? It just stucked in my head.

hmm its a nice PV but the bold part is the climax in this PV for me, Wataru Takeshi made a great job for Ayu to play with her emotions and those who were watching it too! yes it scared as if shes staring at me happily and then like there's "soemone" saying bad things or unecessary things for her that made her sad :yes

and the scene where shes standing before the huge blue painting is so beautiful with the snow falling down :luv2

and it gave me a question mark when she just walked out of the house or her studio seemed she looked like a painter in this PV

JackieRos 7th December 2012 11:37 PM

AYU GO BACK! YOU FORGOT TO CLOSE THE DOOR!

Taru86 8th December 2012 12:03 AM

I have to say that I enjoyed the video. I’ve loved the song ever since I first heard it, and I feel like the soft atmosphere of the video really fits with it. Ayu also looks extremely gorgeous in it. Like I don’t know what it is but ayu has just been looking exceptionally gorgeous lately. Like don’t get me wrong, I think ayu in general is a very beautiful woman, but in these three new pvs as well as in her recent tv performances I’m just amazed at how stunning she looks. :luv2

I have to say though that my only negatives about the pv are that some of the scenes seem a little rehearsed to me, and not very natural. Like when she suddenly turns around to get the teapot and sit down, I don’t know what it is but something about that part bothers me. Lol.

I also found the part when she looked at the camera right after sitting down to be creepy and kind of awkward lol. Like up until that point it felt like ayu was alone in her house and the audience was an outside force that was observing her, but then she suddenly looked at the camera and gave that smile like she was saying “I know you’re watching me” lol

That's exactly what it is :) It's a nod to the very early days of cinema, when film was an exhibitionistic medium rather than a voyeuristic one - which it is today. Looking into the camera from an off angle acknowledges the audience and tells them "look, I am giving you insight". It's rarely done nowadays, but it's generally understood as being that - breaking the 4th wall so-to-say.

Chibi-Chan 8th December 2012 12:13 AM

I really like the "Sweet scar" PV! This one is great! <3

TITANIC 8th December 2012 12:15 AM

My complaint is she looks too pretty. Aww

Yea, I took a cinema class a couple of years ago and I remember learning a little bit about breaking the 4th wall and watching some videos about it, but I don't remember a whole lot. Thanks for clearing that up a little bit. :) Like you said, it is rarely done these days, which is why I was caught so off gaurd. :P

Larisa-chan 8th December 2012 12:33 AM

Beautiful, simple, meaningful.

Andrenekoi 8th December 2012 12:48 AM

I believe this is kinda like... a dialogue between her and a lover, or between her and us. That's why she looks directly to the camera and shows she is aware she is being watching, and that's why it's one shot... It's like a dialogue with Ayu with we taking the part of the other person.

for some reason i find that idea hilarious XD
would have definitely been something different...

drinking cold tea (because you know the pot has been standing there for too long), a lot of 4th wall breaking and then dissapearing outside... mmmhkay...

Tony G 8th December 2012 03:11 AM

Best PV of again. Feels unique for Ayu.

jyujiw 8th December 2012 03:19 AM

Really good PV. It's very simple, but has its meanings here and there. And she looks absolutely beautiful

saigodansu 8th December 2012 03:26 AM

The only PV from this release that's worth watching.

SpiceSquad! 8th December 2012 03:44 AM

like it a -L-O-T-

alternarist 8th December 2012 04:04 AM

i like the PV! it worked for me because it suits the nature of the song.

it's so zen and serene. together with ayu's emotions, the simplicity of the PV made it a very beautiful PV despite there was nothing much going on. :)

AyUmIXx 8th December 2012 04:56 AM

wow love the PV alot..
it's simple but really meaningful, i was teary when ayu was sobbing..
and the way she looked at me at the end of the PV really gave me goosebump.
the best PV out of again PVs.

Kogepan_19 8th December 2012 06:27 AM

Beautiful.

freedreamer 8th December 2012 06:29 AM

The good old director of Ayu has done it again.
Its so minimalistic and amazing I love it.

My Interpretation of it would be...

that Ayu is a painter. It seems like she has finally completed her painting, probably after a long long time and finally has time to move out of the house to enjoy. Yet before, all she could enjoy was just leaves on a plant and having some tea.

I think it's kind of symbolic for her career? that she has been singing for a very long time and perhaps she finally feels that the time where she can "go out" is here?

Part of me also feels as though this PV is the 4th part of the trilogy..in the sense that its a closure to everything. and the opening of the door definitely (and most commonly) symbolises a fresh start.

xLuna&1LOVE 8th December 2012 11:28 AM

Wow, I really liked this video! It was so clean, tender and she looked beautiful. Especially when she stared at us, I got a sad feeling and wanted to hug her! Love it. Gonna download this immediately!

Nukaru 8th December 2012 12:25 PM

In my opinion, 'sweet scar' is the continuation of 'snowy kiss'. The pv really gives me the feeling, like she's gone through a tough time and at the end, is finally able to move on.

She's back home, trying to figure out what she should do next. The smiling scenes give me the feeling, that she's remembering her vacation with 'unknown guy' and Maro. She remembers all the fun they had, reliving the moment.. Then she remembers the fights they had, the bad words and breaking up. She's lost, sad, doesn't know where exactly she stands and finally decides to move on. (The canvas she painted on is finally finished and there's nothing else to do.)
With going out of the door, she cloeses that chapter in her life and moves on.

My 2 cents..

freedreamer 8th December 2012 03:38 PM

Do you think...the sequences in the PV are actually stages of love?

the bed..her place of comfort, when she can be alone..but the bluish tone seems to hint at sadness
the window..she seeks for love
the plant..seems to symbolise a growing love
the tea..finally tasting love and enjoying but then she realizes something doesn't feel right (that she's actually alone? that the one in the camera is merely..a camera, no one's really there)
the painting..it starts to get cold and lonely, like how love dies away. the light turns bluish
the final walk out..the sun shines in again and ayu walks towards it. finally she steps out into the open once again for a breath of fresh air

TeamAyu2004 8th December 2012 04:02 PM

i really like this video...

I cant help but get the feeling she is singing to us (fans) from the way she is looking at the camera and what not. At first I was thinking the 'lover' was there with her and she was waiting for him, (the two cups for the tea, the way she was reacting to the camera).
But a part of me wants to think that the 'sweet scar' is the fans.

AyumiAi 9th December 2012 12:59 AM

so pretty :3

pimenta 9th December 2012 03:51 AM

I unexpectedly love this pv!

I thought I was going to find it boring (like I did with LOVE's pvs), but it's so beautiful, I really really liked this! :heart

mellody 9th December 2012 08:38 AM

Why at some point she's singing but then she's stopped.
Like she's having a conversation with the listener.

ALfromHELLSING 10th December 2012 10:28 PM

My favorite PV from again. Awesome. Loved that scene when she was standing in front of the picture and suddenly snow started falling.

rakeru 16th December 2012 09:07 PM

Compared to her other videos lately (in the past year or so), this one was kind of a breath of fresh air for me. Not a lot happened, but it was very nice, elegant, and more her old style.

calltome 17th December 2012 06:48 AM

The whole meaning of the video comes from everything that happened during the first two videos ;). Its a very awesome video with a lot of meaning to it. It really shows how ayu moved on from all her relationship stats to a calm peaceful life!! :D i love this video
