'A Classical' album out January 8th, 3rd of five 15th anniversary releases [II]
Just to clear up some weird misconceptions:
- the songs are newly rearranged, there won't be old AO / Orchestra versions on here - the cover is not an edited version of LOVE, it's a hand-drawn replica (and I personally prefer it over the 'actual' MY STORY Classical cover which was an edited MY STORY cover image) - the majority of the songs were chosen by TA in a poll that asked them what their favorite song (ONLY ONE SONG) was, they did not know it was for a classical album, so if the tracklist looks/seems boring, it's because it's all of the Japanese fans' favorite tracks. It seems people were surprised that MY ALL did not make it because that is a pretty big song for the Japanese. Cover + inside pictures Spoiler:

Now that I actually think about it, it'd be really cool if that Mr. Uki guy drew all of the single covers that belong to each of the songs on the tracklist for the album booklet!
I'd personally love to see a drawn M, Dearest and the GREEN/Days covers ^^. I'm probably hoping for too much though...... |

Hmm, I don't really like that as the cover. Granted, it's an amazing drawing, I just prefer the simplistic cover of MS Classical so I was expecting something similar for this release.
The song list being live will be super interesting, I am looking forward to hearing it :) |

^It's only my view but I think the drawing had been created before Ayu decided to use it as a cover. She only saw it on the web & say I want it.

Unlikely.
They'd have advertised 'new vocals' if she were going to do that. And IMO, this cover fits perfectly since that image of the 'fresh' Ayu is pretty representative of these five releases. Can't wait for the next items to be announced~ |

Really hope she's re-recorded vocals for at least the older tracks. That'd be a nice addition.

I don't think she should redo the vocals, especially for songs like "M" and "Voyage". I actually think her voice sounded great during those eras.
Now that I think about it, I'm kind of sad that "HANABI" is not on the tracklist. ;_; |

Thanks for clearing up all the misconceptions on the front page. Now that I know all that, I'm much more impressed with this release, and I may actually buy it. I initially thought it was a half-baked, last-minute money ploy. But this, I actually like.

I'm excited for BLUE BIRD. The latest re-arrangement of it on Ayu-mi-x 7 was a little disappointing.

Ahhhh can't wait to hear the new version of M! Thats one of the few songs on this release I'm excited to hear a classical version of :laugh

I would have liked to see a number of other songs re-arranged, progress especially, but I'm still happy. I used to love Voyage and maybe this new arrangement will let me fall in love with it again.

i really dont want to look at the listing till i get my download... but I think days and blue bird were on there? Blue bird... yes... I want this because I didn't really care for it in the AO... it wasn't bad... but it could have been better. Dearest kinda sorta too. EDIT: I went and looked... everything BUT seasons and voyage |
