花びらのように散る日々が

残った花びらはもう無い、、、

風が吹くたびに怯えた日々に

Spoiler:
From Misa-chan's blog:
Everything for this…

Chapter 4 of the 5-month consecutive release project running up to her 15th Anniversary debut is a much-anticipated original album! With songs from “LOVE” (8 Nov) and “again” (8 Dec) acting as prologues, 5 new songs are added to create a compilation of 15 tracks!

The new songs include works by Mr Hoshino Yasuhiko, Mr Tago Kunio, and Mr Nakano Yuuta, and every song is hailed as a uniquely “Hamasaki Ayumi” track that everyone craves. And with the addition of the popular 2012 tracks “You&Me” and “Song 4 u”, this album is complete with a single story and amazing quality!

For the videos, 7 video clips and 7 making clips make up a total of 14 tracks. This is the first time we’re having such an impressive line-up of video content, so one can see ayu in lots of different styles. Also, album videos are being released in Blu-ray form for the first time.

As for the limited edition, due to lots of requests from the fans, the factory had packed its schedule to produce “jacket cover photo ayupan figures”! Furthermore, rare items like a grand photobook filled with never-before-released photos will surely make this a precious collector’s item for fans!!

Moving towards her 15th Anniversary, ayu’s 14th original album is full of her charm. This is the answer.

- there are five versions of the album, CD+DVD+ayupan figure+PHOTOBOOK, CD+Blu-ray+ayupan figure+PHOTOBOOK, CD+DVD, CD+Blu-ray, and CD only
- the photobook is 24 pages long
- there are five new songs mentioned in this description (so there'll be two interludes?)
- the interludes on the album are task'n'bass and glasses
- Yuta Nakano, Kunio Tago, and Yasuhiko Hoshino composed some of the new songs (all?)
- the description also mentions a jacket photo Ayupan figure and a photobook as the CD+DVD+SPECIAL/CD+Blu-ray+SPECIAL items.
- Melody's PV consists of Ayu and the dancers, the PV is also similar to TO BE or Not yet from AT07 with the kaleidoscope effect and she is in black/white while the dancers are in red, shown during a LOVE again CM before CDL12-13's opening

Early information
Spoiler:

The information is now up on the official site!
http://www.avexnet.or.jp/ayu/jp/disc...VCD-38705.html

第4弾はオリジナルフルアルバム新曲ばっかのフルアルバムですね今回は5パターンでの発売です

Seems that on TeamAyu, they have posted that a new original album is coming out and all of the songs are new (so nothing from LOVE or again? If they were going to be on this I think they'd be mentioned) and it'll have five versions.

I wonder if they took down the information early again like for LOVE?

It'll be 14 tracks (announced) with the following versions:
CD only
CD+DVD
CD+Blu-ray
CD+DVD+GOODS
CD+Blu-ray+GOODS

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=AVCD-38705

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=AVCD-38708
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=AVCD-38709

First presses will include the serial number card for access to a special site when all five releases are out. Details are unknown.

Something tells me that none of the new songs will get PVs though. Do they usually say "bonus DVD" when it's a PV DVD? Looking back on other releases it also says bonus so hm.... I guess we'll see!

A screenshot from TeamAyu indicates that the DVD will have 14 clips on it and that the album will have 15 tracks. That's one more track than CDJapan announced.

Oh, if anyone was interested in what the preview song has lyrically, it's pretty encouraging. I think it could be either Gloria or untitled for her.... story 2 (most likely the latter) if we're going by the tracklist but anything's possible.

EDIT: I just looked at a site for information and it looks like SAKURA may be the song that was played? They have some lyric snippets that match the preview we have, at least for the last sabi/chorus. It was the only song that was played around the goods area and it was also pretty hard to hear because of the rain.

So there's a mini 'uplifting section' after Missing with SAKURA and Melody if that's what it is.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 07:48 AM

^ I'm imagining something a bit less dramatic than Missing, but less cuddly than Melody.

truehappiness 4th January 2013 07:51 AM

To reply to what you mentioned in the last thread, there's got to be some sort of appeal to buying A BEST 3... maybe new vocals? New arrangements? I think there should be at least one new song on it.

For the other best albums, there was something that was appealing/new/not available elsewhere on them...
A BEST - new vocals on a few songs, first best album
A BEST 2 - one new song, CDL+CDL documentary
A COMPLETE - box/photobook, lots of singles, remastered everything
A BEST 3 - ?

I guess at this point, we can only imagine what the possibilities are if A BEST 3 actually happens, but I hope it's more than just the old songs.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 08:00 AM

^ I wonder if it'll be one disc or two?

I'm really hoping for 15th anniversary versions! :D
I mean, since Ayu seems to have abandoned the single format, and we didn't receive any on LOVE or again, I'm really hoping that A BEST 3 incorporates them.

It'd be really special if she did re-arrange singles from Duty -----> Love songs
(since we've already received 10th anniversary editions for select LOVEppears and A Song for XX singles).

I'd definitely buy A BEST 3 if it came with AT12, and rearranged songs.

I just hope this release is drama free. :D

kendelle 4th January 2013 08:03 AM

I don't think she could do AB3 and expect it to sell or not piss off her remaining fans. I'd really love it Avex stepped it up a little and did an Ayu cover album celebrating her 15th anni - get her labelmates to cover/re-imagine her hits and present that.

I do expect AB3 coming soon, although without a single since 2010 it's hard to say she's even had a "hit" to qualify for another best compilation, but if singles are called mini albums now this crazy consumer world we live in might just troll us once more.

FoObY 4th January 2013 08:18 AM

AB3 would cover "GREEN/Days" and everything after, I'm guessing (?). It'd end up being the weakest BEST album imo, and if "LOVE" and "again" are included, that'd be yet another slap in the face.

It would definitely need something substantial like 15th anniversary versions as others suggested.

tokyoxjapanxfan 4th January 2013 08:18 AM

I would also really enjoy a cover album by her label mates. It'd be super fun. It'd breathe some life into her old songs! Doing a TRF and releasing it -with- an original album would also be very nice.

I think A COMPLETE doesn't count in the A BEST chronology since it was all singles (and I would imagine that they want to stick stuff like JEWEL and MY ALL onto A BEST 3) so Startin'/Born To Be... (essentially Secret) to Party Queen may be where they pull from for A BEST 3?

Though they may probably cut it off somewhere because that's a LOT of albums to pull from.

Possible candidates imo:
Secret - JEWEL for sure, but basically most of the album could be put on A BEST 3
GUILTY - MY ALL for sure, but like Secret, a lot of the album save one or two tracks could be on A BEST 3
Mirrorcle World (?, nah, it was on A COMPLETE and has kinda been ignored since then)
NEXT LEVEL - Rule, Sparkle, NEXT LEVEL, Days
Rock'n'Roll Circus - Microphone, You were..., Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~, Don't look back, Sexy little things, BALLAD
Love songs - Love song, Virgin Road, MOON, crossroad
FIVE - progress, BRILLANTE, beloved
Party Queen - Party queen, how beautiful you are, Return Road, reminds me

Around 70-80 songs up for A BEST 3 give or take a few excluding the interludes of course.

With how she's trending you can expect that new song to be included on her next studio album effectively voiding buying the best album.

Yes, I'm bitter I also bought A Summer Best.

That would be amazing. I love the 10th anni versions.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 08:30 AM

Singles since (or belonging to) Secret:

Startin'/Born To Be...
BLUE BIRD
glitter/fated
Talkin' 2 Myself/decision
Together when...*
Mirrorcle World*
GREEN/Days
Rule/Sparkle
Sunrise/Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~
Ballad/You were...
MOON/blossom
Crossroad
L (Last Angel, Virgin Road, Sweet Season)
Dream ON*
how beautiful you are*

* - Digital singles/collaborations/miscellaneous.

24? songs in total from singles not included on A BEST 2.
Definitely enough to have two discs if she picks and chooses popular album tracks.

truehappiness 4th January 2013 08:35 AM

She'll definitely pull from album tracks since Ayu's best albums have always seemed to be not just single collections from the very start except A COMPLETE which was supposed to be a single collection since it was called ~ALL SINGLES~ (but we know that to not really be true).

Yeah... no.

You

&

Me
.............

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 08:41 AM

I reckon it'll be:

JEWEL
RED LINE ~for TA~
Return Road (I'm not sure how popular this one is, but it was definitely the stand out on Party Queen).
MY ALL
Love song (performed at non-concert lives).
progress
Song 4 u
Possibly Beautiful Fighters.

I think it really depends on how she distinguishes each disc though this time. Considering the trend of 'happy' and 'sad' that has occurred with A BEST 2 and A SUMMER BEST, I wonder if A BEST 3 will follow suit?

truehappiness 4th January 2013 08:45 AM

Song 4 u would be likely to be excluded since LOVE again would have come out just one month prior.

I think it's likely they could go 2CD or even 3CD with a 'special price' if they wanted to choose extra tracks.

Can she make best with something like A BALLADS? :< But with guitars? :<<<<<<<
I was hoping for A ROCK since forever and ever :CCC

truehappiness 4th January 2013 08:51 AM

It's kind of odd how You & Me snuck its way onto like 4 releases after it was originally released.

Instrumental and remixes on LOVE, connected to the PVs on again, the Classical version on A Classical, and now it's on LOVE again with the PV/making and the song. Kind of hilarious since this didn't really happen with other tracks... ever.

and it's not even any kind of "spectular song".
I think many people hate that song?

truehappiness 4th January 2013 08:55 AM

Well, it did seem to be a bit of a YouTube hit. I think it's one of her most viewed tracks on YouTube if not THE highest on her channel with 2.4 million views and counting. It's possible that it was pretty well liked considering it's been years since her last upbeat summer track.

I will never understand people. (xD;;;) Is not like I hate it, but I just think there's nothing really special about it.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 09:02 AM

So, it's basically the poster song for the whole era.

I actually don't mind it, once you get over the cheesy lyrics, and the rather spontaneous arrangement, it's not a terrible song.

When it was first released, I actually didn't like it at all. I'm pretty sure I expressed that opinion on here when it was released, and I was one of very few who shared a negative critique. Now I'm at peace with it (and everybody else can't stand it LOL). :D

ストロボ・EdGE 4th January 2013 09:02 AM

Other than it being glaringly similar to Rihanna's "We Found Love" the song doesn't really bother me, but it's definitely inferior to her other summer songs.

I think Wake me up is a lot better.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 09:04 AM

I also think Wake me up is a lot better.

But, I think the real stars of this era have been the ballads.

yeah, same thoughts exactly :) plus maybe irritating english.
Wmu is her best uplifting track since forever!

well, those ballads (besides Melody) - Missing, Sweet scar and Ivy - I love em. There's something fresh in them, and they are so unique from each other!

pluuuuuuuuuus
I think we might get something OTHER than A BEST 3, just saying.
It might be like shock of the century or sth XD;;;;;
I will not be surprised to be honest XD

Kogepan_19 4th January 2013 09:07 AM

Looking at how A BEST and A BEST 2 were compiled, I'd think that A BEST 3 may boast some sort of concept (whatever that could be) in a multi-disc format, that will mostly feature singles, and album tracks that had its own PV up to a certain cut-off. I think it'd be kind of cool if A BEST 3 had three audio discs, so a trend would follow in which each volume increased by one disc, and there is definitely ample material to work with for three discs. Although it's generally agreed that Bold & Delicious/Pride was deliberately left off of A BEST 2 due to the album description back in the day, I think that these BEST album would represent a much more holistic approach to Ayu's discography if some GEO material is placed on A BEST 3 as well.

ストロボ・EdGE 4th January 2013 09:09 AM

I'm just now in the past week or so catching up with the new songs and I think I like most of them. I had heard song 4 u when it leaked and didn't care for it but it has grown on me.

Anything is better than... Party Queen. I've never heard the whole album in its entirety but it was all I could do to listen to the iTunes previews and not cry.

truehappiness 4th January 2013 09:14 AM

I find that the Party Queen dislike is a lot like the RAINBOW hate from that era. Hopefully Party Queen gets appreciated sooner rather than later eventually.

Since Ayu has some magazines coming up around LOVE again, I wonder if she's going to elaborate on the songs from LOVE/again and the PVs at all.

I don't get PQ hate. I really like the fact there's only one ballad in it <3 XD
That's why I started to avoid Love songs, this album puts me to sleep.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 09:17 AM

I like Party Queen's originality, but that's kind of where it stops for me.
I do like reminds me, Return Road, Eyes Smoke Magic, and the next LOVE though.
Tell me why seems to be pretty popular in the fanbase.

It amazes me how much Ayu's musical style can change in one year.
Absolutely profound.

@Pepper: I think Ivy is one of my favourite Ayu ballads full stop. It's perfection. I really missed Ayu's self evaluation lyrics.

I hope that she does! I'm particularly curious as to why she decided to highlight issues of domestic abuse and failed relationships in such a vivid manner with a new found lover. I wonder if the new trilogy bears any reflection of her own failed relationship with Mannie...

truehappiness 4th January 2013 09:21 AM

We may get some of the explanations we're looking for in the PV makings perhaps since they've mentioned concepts a few times during that footage so I'm looking forward to that as well!

Since we're on the topic of makings, Maro imitating Timmy or something during the You & Me making = HILARIOUS. ONE MORE TIME ONE MORE TIME THANK U THANK U

It's going to be rather weird to watch the snowy kiss making with the fighting and all.

I don't even know why. It just reminds me of feeling I got when I heard Key ~eternal tie ver.~ for the first time. Hot tea with rasperry syroup and those 2 songs makes a perfect match.
It became my favorite song from those 2 mini-albums.

I'm the most unreliable source, but weren't the first three songs "the party" and then the rest midtempoacousticballadblah? And then the "jazz"...

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 09:27 AM

^ It's extremely erratic. But that's probably more one of it's pros. It's completely different to anything she's done before (with the exception of call/Letter, the mid-tempo acoustics).

I agree with Love songs being boring though, most of the songs on there are individual listens for me.
I guess it's because one composer definitely dominated.

3 party songs (Party queen, NaNaNa, Shake it)
~rock interlude~
Rock/guitar flavored/dark songs (I don't really consider them as ballads beside maybe Letter. But still, it's not her typical "medium song" I guess. For me, her typical mediums are Melody, beloved *medium ballads* Letter is that "MY STORY" medium type song - the same feeling gave me November from Love songs.)
- call (acoustic uptempo, typical "Avril Lavigne" poprock song.)
- Letter (medium warm song)
- reminds me (dark angsty one)
- Return Road (an epic dark track with much going on)
- Tell me why (nostalgic rnb?)
~cup of tea cute interlude with dubstep lol~
2 songs cosider as jazz - but it's a bad choice of words. They are not even jazzy in comon, they are cabaret styled.
1 ballad.

RAINBOW's one of the least liked albums after ASFXX from her earlier works, sadly. Though anything when compared to LOVEppears/Duty/I am... is probably not going to be 'liked' as much since a lot of her classics came from those eras. For w/e reason, I think people did not receive RAINBOW too well due to its ethereal sound after having some pretty strong singles that didn't sound anything like what was on the album.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 09:32 AM

Honestly, I think anything that would have come after I am... would have been subject to some serious negativity. :/

I agree with Love songs being boring though, most of the songs on there are individual listens for me.
I guess it's because one composer definitely dominated.

I liked Love songs retrospectively, but right now the only album song I can remember liking is Love song.

November, sending mail, thank u were so atrocious. She made it up with FIVE (sans beloved).

I pretty much only like every other release by this lady but that's fine with me seeing how prolific she is.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 09:37 AM

I have to say though, in terms of RAINBOW, it has the worst tracklist order in the history of Ayu releases.

Having Free & Easy straight after Real Me is like an Ayu sin. :no

well I always thought RAINBOW has the coldest atmosphere from her albums.
Maybe because of her harsh vocal? And bad tracklisting xD;;

ストロボ・EdGE 4th January 2013 09:48 AM

At least LOVE again seems to have continuity... never mind that I can't figure out the theme (is milking money a theme?)

Rainbow is pretty haphazard. It's like she did whatever she wanted for the singles then decided on a completely different sound for the other tracks, thus the polarized album. Still it has such perfect songs. If I listen to them it's individually anyway.

I think this kind of counts for NEXT LEVEL and Rock 'n' Roll Circus too.
I remember a bit of a backlash because when NEXT LEVEL was released, it was kind of promoted as Ayu's 'electro' album, whilst Rock 'n' Roll Circus was promoted as rock, but only contained a few rock songs. :thud

LOVE again ~pay again~ :3

I just hope not all the 5 new songs will stay in "lovey dovey" atmosphere. (like CD cover). Because the 1st preview sounds very "cute and dandy". Because it will become Love songs ~part II~ album for me (good album to fall asleep ~part II~) Since there is Wake me up, Song 4 u and snowy kiss (that aren't cute and dandy) I hope there will be something besides "medium Ayu fillers" :) But well, technically the structure reminds me so of Love songs...

Wake me up == Love song /up tempo opening track/
snowy kiss == Last angel or do it again or sending mail /experimental electronic track/
Missing == MOON /power ballad/
Melody == Thank U /boring filler/
Ivy == November or Like a doll /good medium track filler/

sth like that.

truehappiness 4th January 2013 09:53 AM

Rock'n'Roll Circus wasn't really promoted as a rock album, I think. The title says 'rock' but her interviews about the album said it was kind of like a mixed bag of everything.

NEXT LEVEL was pretty electro... except the singles. I think this is probably why Ayu could benefit from rearranged "album versions" but then that sort of forces people to get the singles if they want 'originals'.

Seriously, I'm pretty sure that 'discussion' stopped a while ago for a reason.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 10:00 AM

^ I think a lot of people just assumed that it would be a bit 'rock' influenced 'cause of the name too. I remember it being a discussion though, or more so a hope-ends-in-disappoint result as it was hoped that it would contain a few more rock songs as Ayu's rock songs seem to be pretty popular here! :)

(though, this happens with every Ayu release doesn't it?)

I think LOVE again will be a great album. We know at least seven of the tracks will be great. ;)

njanjayrp 4th January 2013 10:02 AM

I really don't want her to re-record any of her past works as the majority of the tracks would prolly sound chopped and not really good. YOU and Depend on you had awesome arrangements, but her vocal style deffo did not suit those tracks and I fear the same would happen with the majority of her older songs.

truehappiness 4th January 2013 10:10 AM

Honestly, there's really no reason to bring up the "'ripoff'-ish" nature of this album so many times. I understand why people think this, but once is enough after literally dozens if not a hundred or more posts about it.

Yes, the songs from LOVE and again are on here. Yes, You & Me is on here. So what?

We're getting a new album with these songs and seven (five) new ones. She literally had new news a week or two after the previous release and this is happening four times (well, we have one release left left) consecutively. We never get things like this so I'm going to enjoy this constant flow of news and quick information before we have to go back to the usual "wait 4 months before Ayu records anything and releases a new CD/whatever while AHS becomes a bit of a ghost town" pattern that we tend to go through in these last few years.

If not rerecorded, at least rearranged slightly? Simply remastering probably won't satisfy people because they could barely hear the difference! Or in the case of M on A COMPLETE, they really noticed because an entire layer of music was missing at one point.

pepper 4th January 2013 10:19 AM

I just want a rock epic track *Puss in boots reaction face*

njanjayrp 4th January 2013 10:20 AM

^ I didn't like what they've done with M. A BEST 3 shouldn't be meant for only fans to enjoy, but they should try and appeal to the listeners who have abandoned Ayu and who haven't listened to many of her recent songs. Therefore I think that adding a new track or two and a bonus DVD featuring a concert would satisfy me just enough :)

If people think this release is a rip-off then simply don't purchase it. It's been a month, get over it already. I am not happy with the minis being treated as singles, but what's done is done and complaining on AHS isn't going to change anything.

truehappiness 4th January 2013 10:21 AM

Unfortunately, given the tracklist at the moment, your only hope is Bye-bye darling which could be a promising rock track. The rest seem to be slow ballad-y types. It's also in the prime spot for her 'weird' tracks aka the middle of the album.

Jawdarna 4th January 2013 10:22 AM

M ~PoW vers.~ (Studio mix) needs to happen!

I do wonder if the next release will be A BEST 3. I mean, nobody expected A CLASSICAL.

I don't think March will be the end of releases for this year though, I have a feeling something will pop up at the end of the year.

I've been enjoying Ayu's ballads lately, so it won't upset me if LOVE again is just one huge ballad fest. :D

truehappiness 4th January 2013 10:28 AM

Something will probably happen on April 8th. Most likely a concert, but maybe something else along with it?

Also maybe once she's done touring, another album will pop up in November/December?

ayu_ready? 4th January 2013 10:40 AM

I never really got that hate of old Ayu stuff. everything's pretty iconic, like, you cannot touch that

truehappiness 4th January 2013 11:00 AM

So... I was just notified that there's a possibility that the serial number cards x 5 from these releases might be exchangeable only in Japan for a physical item of some sort. I hear that the serial number cards are also included in the HK/Taiwan editions so you can get those instead of the Japan versions and it'd still be fine.

However, what do you do when you get all five and you don't live in Japan/HK/Taiwan? I'm hoping it's not actually for a physical good or anything because I've never heard of a campaign like this since usually that involves mailing items in. However, it appears that avex taiwan and HK have the information on hand about it being at stores only...

Ehhhhhhhh if it is a box to hold everything in. It's so odd considering that her last シリアルナンバー入りアクセスカード/serial number access cards were all for digital contents.

marekcarey 4th January 2013 11:10 AM

Why it should be the end? ...

SURREAL__RAINBOW 4th January 2013 11:11 AM

Hopefully it can be done through TA at least, I dunno.

tokyoxjapanxfan 4th January 2013 11:17 AM

Well when the LIVE Clip box came out, how did that work? You had to be in Japan in order to receive the extra DVD, no?

truehappiness 4th January 2013 11:18 AM

Basically, if they are doing it the way that avex Taiwan/HK seem to understand it, it's totally screwing over the consumers that live in any non-Asian countries... I guess we'll see.

Hopefully something can be figured out for overseas people if this is the case.

If I remember correctly, like all other Japanese mail in goodies, you had to mail a postcard in to get the free DVD and it was Japan only. However, this is the シリアルナンバー入りアクセスカード she had for FIVE, A SUMMER BEST, MOON, and crossroad that required the numbers for a site, just that there are five of them this time and apparently stores in HK/Taiwan will also be participating. It's really quite odd...

tokyoxjapanxfan 4th January 2013 11:22 AM

girl next door has similarly done something where if you buy all three versions of a single and then mail in the stickers on each release, you get a bonus DVD.

Maybe it'll be like that?

but yeah they weren't necessarily cards though...
Or maybe you input the serial numbers and then get a ticket or something that you need to print and then mail in?

truehappiness 4th January 2013 11:29 AM

We'll have to see, but I'm scared it'll have to come to mailing my cards to a friend in Japan, aieeee, lol.

owlflight 4th January 2013 11:32 AM

Japan only mail in would be disappointing to me so I hope it's digital content.

Gustavopc 4th January 2013 11:37 AM

How sad RAINBOW has got not that much love, it is amazing. And even if its album tracks sound different from the singles, this is so ayu/Jpop lol. Like on NEXT LEVEL, there was the whole electro thing, but we had... GREEN...
That's why I was hopeful when Party Queen was announced with no previous singles, I though she was preparing a very cohesive album, a bit like Duty sounds for me, but it turned out to sound as messy as Rock'n'Roll Circus (<3) or NEXT LEVEL.
LOVE again seems to be no Love-songs-everything-sounds-epic-and-mid-tempos-everywhere but also it is not a mess in styles. I have faith on it :)

Yep, that pretty much sums up my initial RAINBOW-hate. But then I grew to love that album.

RAINBOW never really had a chance as the follow-up to I am... That's one tough cookie to beat. Anything released after that would have paled in comparison.

koumori 4th January 2013 04:46 PM

RAINBOW is flawless. But as always, it's subjective and therefore I'll just say the whole LOVEppears to (miss)understood era is flawless and nothing but :heart

I wonder what kind of concept LOVE again will have, musically. As in, will the other songs we've already heard will be similar, or will they be really different~ I think it'll be like Love songs, personally. Looking forward to it either way.

pimenta 4th January 2013 04:54 PM

blackmage 4th January 2013 05:24 PM

I'm pretty late and catching up. 14th album, rehashed songs from both minis. I'm not too disappointed, I'm kind of glad and despite hoping for the best, expected this to happen. I don't want to buy the minis or other previous efforts like A Summer Best, etc (I stopped consistently buying every Ayu release after 'Next Level') so for me I'm glad the songs from this era are being regurgitated so I have them all in one entity (album) rather than having to have three or so from different releases. I don't know, maybe if there are a lot of people have the same mentality and if Japanese public (as I generally guess from a previous post from the last thread) expected it and don't think its a big deal, maybe this album and it's sales will do really good! I really like the CD+DVD cover the best though in general the three covers has a Kana Nishino meets Love Songs feel. I just hate the font they use.

All this A BEST 3 talk is :puke

I really don't think its the time to release this, Avex and Ayu releasing all these compilations and Ayu isn't even dead yet. AB3 would be the weakest of them all. Unlike how I feel about Love again, I don't want to buy another compilation with 50% - 70% music I already own just for a new song or two. So for the last, I really hope its something different even though I do admit that it seems like a logical ploy for the final fifth release. Le sigh..

ExodusUK 4th January 2013 05:35 PM

Is there a site selling the bluray + goods that isn't sold out? Shouldn't have left it this late to order :( Might just wait for the OS version sigh~

Hmm
Ethereal sounding?
Free & easy sounds as ethereal as we wish
The only real ethereal sounding songs on rainbow i think are dolls, over and everywhere nowhere, ie no singles.

So much hate on rainbow
The colour blue helps you lose weight. Maybe the Japanese hated it because they're already all skinny.

Jawdarna 5th January 2013 01:54 AM

I think it'll be interesting to see what Gloria actually is, as Ivy isn't exactly a 'meaning of Love' or 'Melody'. I wonder if she'll go out with a bang, or if it will be a build up to Ivy?

I mean, it's a pattern that has occurred quite often.
Party Queen: reminds me - Return Road - Tell me why
Love songs: do it again - November - Virgin Road
Rock 'n' Roll Circus: meaning of Love - You were... - RED LINE ~for TA~

The 'epic' song always seems to be centre....
(Rock 'n' Roll Circus/Party Queen really shouldn't count as there is no interlude beforehand; but, it does prove a point).
This is also assuming that You & Me is being treated as a bonus track (possible, as why in the world would they put it after Ivy in a normal circumstance?)

adantatu2 5th January 2013 02:11 AM

Something called: "GLORIA" needs to be epic****

Delicious n Bold 5th January 2013 03:45 AM

^ noooo

truehappiness 5th January 2013 03:46 AM

If that's the case then petal and glasses would both be full tracks. Somehow... I don't see that being what happens, but anything's possible.

Why would Ivy need an interlude before it anyway? Ivy's genre isn't that different from what we can probably imagine untitled for her... story 2 to be. I recall she usually has the interlude before a ballad normally when whatever precedes the ballad = not even close to a ballad. Serenade and reBiRTH come to mind.

Delicious n Bold 5th January 2013 03:52 AM

Why does she need interludes?
I need full tracks!
I bet that 99.9% of people would want 6 new songs plus the latest tasku instrumental just because.

truehappiness 5th January 2013 03:53 AM

Well, I tend to like interludes since they're nice and compact and when they're good, they're reaaaalllly good (Bridge to the sky IMO). If anything, if there were no interludes on the album, then the album would simply be 13 tracks. There's a weird assumption that if an interlude didn't take up space on a tracklist, that a full song would be there.

I don't really mind them since Ayu has some really awesome ones. Now if it's like the two second ones that BoA had before... no.

Delicious n Bold 5th January 2013 03:59 AM

Well she does have good interludes but I think more songs would be better
It's also a bang for the buck
Bridge to the sky should have been a full song. It just wasnt long enough.

ohsixthirty 5th January 2013 03:59 AM

i fully expect that the bonus we get for buying all five items will be complete crap. honestly, it'll probably be a code to watch a special 15th anniversary video or something. :(
