I can't believe we went through 1 thread already of ayumi randomness!!
I wonder what we will come up with next?!

Sometimes I wish I had a convertible car so I could blast Ayu music on my way to work.

Yesterday I was driving while I was listening to the dubstep version of Wake me up, it was AWESOME.

everything about the single, again was amazing...

It was way better than LOVE because we got 4 good tracks instead of 3

well, 2... lol =)
im still pretty excited to hear the other tracks, now that my disappointed is kinda gone...

I'm sure we'll be pleasantly surprised lol

THAT should've been the look/feel of the album.

after watching the concert I cared for thew songs more, thats for sure... lol

I didn't rate Happening Here at all when I first heard it. But after seeing last year's CDL performance, I really enjoy it!

Ayu confession.
2012 as an Ayu year absolutely sucked the biggest pair of hairy balls ever. And I haven't been a super-critical fan when it came to 2009, 2010, 2011. 2012 was just pretty horrible.

only reason i like party queen is because it came out a VERY GOOD TIME for me. now its nostalgic.

2012 was pretty good for me...
party queen... the mini singles... the concert, the lives...
ahh... 2012 will be a good year... here's hoping 2013, the 15 ~anny~ will be any better.

im dreading a best 3 though. i don't want to see the meltdowns.

Don't care for lives (from what I've heard she did decently), the concerts were alright, the minis (singles, really) were only so-so (some of the remixes were really awful, what's with the dubstep?). It could've been worse, but it was the worst I've every experienced in terms of an Ayu year. Not off to a good start with the massive amount of already released tracks (some up to 2 or 3 times) on her "new" album. At least there's plenty of time to redeem it.

I dont see why people are like that with the best.
Its been 6/7 years... unlike some jpop people, this is SOO long inbetween. lol

One has to admit though, wouldn't it be strange that Ayu would overshadow a studio album with another BEST?

That is if it's the last release in March?

i wish for a real single, but with our luck, it'd be the album trecks from LOVE again :P

I was also wondering, what would be so great about a best album if most fans already own the songs?
One thread was saying that there is always some nifty feature that entices fans

It's so sad that, for those who nocurr about lives, ASB is now 100% useless

Random thoughts~

I think it would kick all sorts of ass if Ayu performed LIMIT or gut-it pez on stage - just for laughs if nothing else. Those songs are still really fun to listen to despite being so "un Ayu".

As much as I love Ayu having such a hand in her album production, Id love if she just relinquished control to someone else and did an album exactly like PERFUME's sound, Namie's sound or even AKB48 or SNSD's Japanese discography. I think it could result in some awesome songs and force her into something really interesting. If it revived her popularity as well she could really start to take back her "Queen of Jpop" title.

I wonder if she'll do a TV special for her anniversary?

Omg a collab with Yasutaka Nakata. That would be epic.
But as much as I love Perfume, I'd like something more like CAPSULE's instead.

A Best era covers 46 songs
A Best 2 era covers 61 songs

So, we have something between 62 ~ 81 songs to pick up for A Best 3, more than enough...

I actually wouldn't mind A BEST 3 tbh. Everyone keeps talking about how they don't want it.

But ew @ all those songs after RNRC...

it's funny how, when I look at that list...I see her different eras in different colors....and everything after rnrc is like...the same...blah color. PQ has a bit of a different color...but I still don't need any of those songs on the best album.

i would just like to see the extra content that is sure to come with it...

^ Been to Atlanta many times. I don't think there are any places that sell Ayu items but then it's been a year since I was last there. If you end up going, watch out for traffic. It's horrible there during rush hour.

I love those ballads too
But forgiveness is flawless. Not a spec of impurity.
There's a sweet piano, hard hitting lyrics, a climax, and that Engrish ending that just gets to you.
I love ballads from other artists, but forgiveness just takes massive ****s all over them.
This song makes me proud to be an Ayu fan. Nobody has done a nice ballad like this. Maybe with composition. I don't know, but the lyrics and arrangement are top notch.

There is no point in listing them as mini's honestly.

It really would have been nice to list these as singles officially, it would have been close to the golden age of her singles...

I never watched the PVs aside from NaNaNa.......that was enough!

I actually haven't watched a PV since Sweet Season to the end of PQ. I just never felt enthused to watch another one yet. I watched S4U and the new trilogy and just don't really want to go back and watch the others yet haha

I re-watched all the PVs recently.

I actually really enjoyed watching the Love songs trilogy with Mannie. Possibly due to nostalgia, but also because they were great PVs quality wise.

My favourite PVs are from GUILTY actually. Which may sound a bit strange in the fandom, but I just think all of them are great (including Mirrorcle World)...

I just love the symbolism in them.

she does have great symbolism, but for me it just gets lost unless you pay attention to it 110%. Otherwise they are just a bunch of random crap thrown together that means nothing, lol..

I would like to sit down and watch her PV's from beginning to end as well!
I just need to figure out how to change my ts files into files that my ipad will read...

^ Yeah, the first time I watched the (don't)Leave me alone PV, I didn't notice that her tie turned a different colour when she danced with each of the coloured dancers...

I always thought the 'icy' environment as a symbol of the 'cold hands' of her lover, or just a relationship that had turned chilly in general was also quite nifty. ^___^

But yeah, the most powerful PVs are those in which present you with a concept straight up. Like Endless Sorrow. :D

GODz how i hated Daybreak... I mean... COME ON. you walking up to the camera in some toilet paper dress, sink your song and then slowly walk away?
lol... horrible... maybe it was a small little protest to not want to single the song.

Daybreak is a song that had to grow on me... When i first heard it (I am being my first album to get) I thought it was okay... but when i saw the PV... i jsut hated it, lol... so i refused to listen to it... but after a few years and NOT going back to the PV it has become one of those songs that I love to listen too, but never actively go to listen to it...
if it pops up... Im like... Ahhh... nice...

The HAL's mix of Daybreak is the single version. :O
It sounds so much softer and lovelier, but the single was released after I am... was released, so I guess that could be a reason why it didn't replace the album version. But then, Ayu always features the original mixes on albums, so...
I don't like the heavier album version, it grates on my poor ears. >.<

Not like a HONEY dislike (if we ever get to hear the MY STORY demos one day, and there is a better song that was cut, it will be a 'WHY!!!!' moment), sort of a dislike whilst acknowledging that the song does have artistic and quality merit.

I love Dabreak (album version), The Pv one also sounds good, but i prefer the rocky sound more. I think the synthesizer gives a perfect mood for an actual daybreak view in a horizon.

And i also adore no more words i love Ayu's vocals there and the mood too. It's such a tender song. ♥

I don't know why but i also like Secret. I think her thick voice gives a very interesting feeling to the song. As if she was actually whispering.
