A WORLD TOUR... how to make it happen??

ok im so anxious for ayu to have a world tour. how can we convince her? twitter? something else?
if she had one date in north america for 10000 seats would it really not sell out?

A WORLD IS ONE was a success and that was a fan landmark. how sick would it be to succeed in sending this message to her. how guys?? how??!?!??

kimmeh 9th January 2013 09:34 AM

If Ayu was to have a world tour; it should have been at the peak of her career. I think it's too late now. Or she has to do like Gackt; nightclubs.

mizuki-7 9th January 2013 10:35 AM

She can I'm truly sure ! But don't think she will do that ?

Jolin tsai has doing a concert in london although I don't think she is really known in the world but it seem it was successful ! A lot of asians lives outside of asia and may be interested and of course western fans =)

By paying the expenses of a world tour and providing logistic solutions :P

Jawdarna 9th January 2013 12:00 PM

She needs a comeback before this happens.

LONJJONG 9th January 2013 01:04 PM

Maybe creating a petition?

pheonixflame15 9th January 2013 02:25 PM

There is a petition going around for Namie to do a world tour too. Nothing has really come of that for awhile. I'm not sure if Ayu would go for it either. It's a good idea though. Just to get her aware of how badly we want a tour.

Max_ZZZ 9th January 2013 03:33 PM

ya im just going to twitter spam her. sigh avex artists dont get those world perks

BlackSilence 9th January 2013 04:02 PM

Burn down Avex :lech

but USA isn't "world" don't forget that.

C'mon AHS, break your precious piggy bank for Ayu :laugh.

Actually I don't know what internet petitions and twitter can do for a world tour. But I'd die if she would announce it.
I'd happy even with just an european date and some americans, like Hikki's.

ExodusUK 9th January 2013 04:27 PM

It's not up to us~ a few signatures on a petition isn't going to influence a company like Avex.

BlackSilence 9th January 2013 04:41 PM

mmm for example with GACKT he moved to Avex because he wanted to make HIS plans work out, European tour. I think the bigest initiative should come from an artist themselves to make things start moving. Ayu knows she has fans, she knows some of them come all over to Japan for her concerts, they go meet her. She knows about us, maybe talking about it to her would make some kind of progress but if she won't want to do it, it won't happen.

Maemi 9th January 2013 05:32 PM

AHS isn't the world either, she doesn't have enough fans overseas to fill the space she has accustomed herself to until now.

BlackSilence 9th January 2013 05:35 PM

^ it was actually the same with GACKT only livejournal people that knew each other. But i think you would be surprised..Tho I wonder if j-pop is more in the surface than j-rock in western world.

Maemi 9th January 2013 05:45 PM

People would come, that's for sure. But not in number that she and her company would appreciate.

adantatu2 10th January 2013 03:25 AM

avex will lose money, maybe when ayu leaves avex, she could take her own decision to make some concerts.

Or if there are some anime and game conventions, maybe they could bring ayu

polka-dot-jewel 10th January 2013 05:48 AM

If L'Arc~en~ciel can sell out the Madison Square Garden, if Gackt and Utada can do small but successful tours... Ayu can do it. She knows she has fans overseas, and I'm sure Avex does as well. Unfortunately, her tours are so large-scale, Avex probably doesn't want to risk losing money by placing her in places like the O2 (London) or the Madison Square Garden (NYC).

Honestly, though, I bet she could fill up the O2 and MSG, but if those were the only shows in Europe/America. Like when fans flock from around the USA travel to NYC/LA, or fan flock from Europe to London/Paris, they would do the same if these were her only performances. I know I would!! But again, Avex probably doesn't want to risk it.

She could sell out MSG if she started promoting it 6 months ~ 1 year earlier to give people enough time to plan a travel to New York. The same would work for the O2... But it would be like, 1 concert on either place, never on both.

Ivete Sangalo, that would be the Ayu's popularity equivalent in Brazil during the 00s, sold out a concert on the MSG by annoucing it far earlier and making partnership with a air company, what alouded the Arena to be filled with 1/3 of people who lived in Brazil... And she is pretty much nobody on the USA.

She didn't make money from this concert, through... She made money with DVD sales (this concert was recorded) and by touring the show after recording it.

FoObY 10th January 2013 07:30 AM

I know I would travel to NY if she performs in MSG, or anywhere else in North America! Surely they could get 20,000 fans from around the world to pack the place if given ample notice.

chu-lips 10th January 2013 07:42 AM

did her theater movie doing well when it was screening on USA?
it could be a point to measure will it work...

It did better on the second day than on the first, I think due to word of mouth. There was no promotion in that area or around LA.

Delirium-Zer0 11th January 2013 08:26 PM

Honestly, with the overseas TeamAyu and mu-mo shops available cuz of Tenso, they're probably looking at the metrics of that, and it's clear that a tour outside Japan would simply not be profitable.

It upsets me cuz as a TA member I don't feel I'm getting my money's worth without her having concerts around here. Too many benefits like "at-the-concert-venue-only" lotteries & giveaways, and early ticket sales for TA members, that we in the USA don't get to take advantage of. :(

Until avex is convinced an ayu concert here would be profitable, they won't do it. And it would NOT be profitable. Ayu's just not relevant enough. Not enough fans have proven they'd spend the money.

I agree :yes

I don't see why Ayu - or Japanese pop in general - is really relevant outside of Japan (including Korea, excluding China/Taiwan)...

LOL People from the US usually think they're the world :rolleyes

I saw Kaya in Mexico City in 2010 I think, it was in a small part of a venue, (I loved his performance, and he sang 27 songs I remember).

Many Japanese artist have been here, but not the ones I want to see :grumpy ,even last year Junsu from JYJ were here!

Many Asian artist come to Latin America, maybe is easier for them to come here than to the US.

It would be a dream came true to watch ayu performing live here :love

well i don't thin they're stupid, she could do a light acoustic live that would be perfectly enough. I honestly even if i like her pompastic shows i prefare the more intimate atmosphare. I loved it with GACKT. I mean none distracts anyone, and artist can forcus on their singing more.

I totally think she could fill up 2-4 gigs in USA (2 or 1) & Europe (2 or 1).

RadnasticReggie 12th January 2013 11:37 PM

Anywhere she goes in North America, I would go. I don't care how much I will spend to see her... I will see her front row if she ever tour here. Haha.

owlflight 13th January 2013 12:49 AM

^ I second this! At this point though, I just want tour dates.

alternarist 13th January 2013 01:37 AM

i dont think it will happen... i mean if ASIA TOUR is just within Taipei, Shanghai and Hong Kong, WORLD TOUR could just be Taipei, Shanghai, Hong Kong and LA.

chu-lips 14th January 2013 11:37 AM

she release a pv in YouTube with different subs
may be it was a hints

Delicious n Bold 14th January 2013 06:00 PM

^ it HAS to mean something, I think.
Maybe they're finally understanding the fact that there are English fans.
Enough for a small gig

Hell, megumi ogata came here for FanExpo2010. Well, not for the expo, but she was here on the Saturday. And she ain't no jpop singer, when compared to ayu. She's just a seiyuu known for yukito and Sailor YourAnus. But megumi SOLD OUT. There's hope for that small ayu gig.
