I was looking for new artists to try out and decided to give Kana Nishino a chance. All I can say is, why the hell did I not listen to her before?!
Haven't heard to many of her songs yet, I plan to download her albums/singles once I get my laptop fixed, but could anyone link me her TOP hits? I'm having trouble finding them on youtube, usually the pitch of her voice is changed or something :laugh So far I've only heard By your side, If, Tatoe donna ni..., and BRAVE HEART. I love her voice, she'll definitely be my top "to listen to" artist for the summer:heart |

I won't even try to make a list of my fav songs. I just recommend these masterpieces for anyone who's thinking about listening to lovely Queen Kana:
to LOVE Thank you, Love + b-sides from these eras = ♥ These albums will probably always be my Top 2 favs. Love Place wasn't as good (though Be Strong and Tatoe donna ni... broke my heart in a second). LOVE one. was a ok album, but there's still something that doesn't really feel right for me. Maybe it's her voice. Oh well. :D |

I made a conclusion she was touring just by updates of her official personal ameblo blog, so I decided to go and check on the official site. since Kana's thread's super dead and no one's updating, I decided to post
btw, anyone have a clue why they decided to do another tour anyway? it's not supported by a single new release, so may I conclude that maybe there was a high demand of another tour by fans?? |
Maybe she just likes to do those Spring tours. She has done those last year and year before that too if I remember correctly. :)

They are cute, cheap and creepy (well, the BR LE is) all rolled into one. Works for me. I want the limited edition of the Blu Ray. Might wait till its been out for a bit and order from Amazon Japan and use a middle man.

From what I could hear, the song sounds good. It has the potential to be interesting if it's paired with a unique, well-crafted music video, but it is very expected. I wonder why she doesn't experiment with her style more.

So I've decided that 'to Love' is my favourite album. When I got into Kana, even though it wasn't the first song I heard, Motto was just released and I remember receiving it from CDJapan and being so excited. Which makes me think of a question: has anyone actually used any of the stickers that they got if they bought any of the first press editions of some of her singles? Like Best Friend, Aitakute Aitakute, Kimitte, Esperenza, Tatoe Donna Ni and Always (am I missing any?) ?

I think there are stickers with I and Glowly Days too. But nah, never used mine.

I doubt we will ever have another glowly days :laugh Kana became most popular from her Motto-type songs. I think the light R&B-Pop Kana is here to stay. But, I could be wrong.

I would rather get Motto part 5 rather than those random pop songs, it's really nothing original and adds nothing to the plate. Plus it's usually super annoying with a voice such as hers.. But here again, that's just me >o<

They remind me of Go For It!! for some reason, but I really like them. I love her hair style. I was thinking of dying my tips, but was holding off because I was wondering how it would look on my medium length hair, but hers is shorter and it still looks good.
EDIT: Is anyone else getting Koda Kumi realness vibes from the second cover? The pose and facial expression are really Kuu, imo. Love it. |
