FACE to Face FLASH (Taguchi's solo) FACE to Face - As expected , I really love the whole song + PV . PV wise , I think it's much better than EXPOSE (even though the song's still great but the PV was poorly executed imo) FLASH - HOLY MOLY , Taguchi :thud . I think so far this's my fave solo from their special solo back to back project :heart Wow wasn't expecting this from him especially since he's not the best singer in the group but love those dance moves & FLASH is not bad at all And ahahaha at Kame's cameo in the PV xD xD xD Something tells me I'm going to like FACE to Face a lot , so can't wait <3 |

According to various rumours online , it's because of Tanaka's wild private life that landed him in so much trouble & that he supposedly opened a bar without getting permission from Johnny-san to do that [as you're not supposed to moonlight outside of the agency]
Still , it could have been other issues that could be more worst than this , if not this will not happen with it being the last resort for Tanaka to be sacked Couldn't have come at a worst timing since Kame , Nakamaru & Taguchi are currently having drama related activities & I'm most certain journalists will be asking them insensitively about Tanaka's departure :x |
Yes, I read these rumours. Well, it seems to me that Johnnys is extremely double standard regarding their artists. When cash cow Akanishi had scandals all over the place they didn't fire him, they gave him a solo career. Honestly I have no idea, really what could be so bad? The only thing that comes to my mind is drugs, but even then, they would probably know how to hush this kind of thing up. It is extremely unlikely that KAT-TUN will survive this blow. Half of their songs consist of Kokis rap. Without him they will be NEWS 2, music wise, or whatever. Johnny is pretty much senile by now I guess, or he would never actually think that KAT-TUN are going to be big sellers again in the future. They have been destroyed, they won't last. It is sad, but that's how I see it.

Yeah it's such an irony & sometimes I myself don't know why/how the music industry works
Even when Akanishi announced his shotgun marriage & the way just how poorly he handled the matter , it does surprised me he didn't get fired from the agency as to me , I feel the way things turned out reflected badly on all parties directly/indirectly to him I don't know if it's because Akanishi is Johnny's 'fave' but comparing him against Tanaka's 'crimes' , I don't know who should I side with Now that Tanaka's gone , KAT-TUN's future songs will not be the same without his rap . Even though his rap is nowhere near as good as ARASHI's Sakurai , that's 1 of the many reasons why their music's so different/unique as compared to other Johnny's , coupled with Nakamaru's beatboxing At this point in time , I really don't know what's going to happen . Maybe I should properly be mentally prepared for KAT-TUN to be disbanded for good , just in case another bombshell happens again :tired |

We lost Jin, because of going solo (and with that, also his rude behavior as well), and now we lost Koki... Was Koki's actions really a disrespect to the fans and KAT-TUN themselves? |
There is a twitter account, fake or not, that calls itself TANAKAK0UKI and on there Koki/fake Koki posted that he is gay and that that was the reason he was fired, because he couldn't live with it in Johnnys. :o Let's wait and see, I think it is fake. He is probably not allowed to talk about Johnnys so this twitter thing sounds fishy. And while there is tons of people I suspect that are gay in the entertainment industry, Koki is not one of them. But if it is true, wow...hats off to Koki for leaving this two faced company!
Edit: Was probably fake, as it is already suspended. Haha. I kind of think this is funny. I hope Koki will write a book about the inner dealings of Johnnys. But I doubt it. He will be sued, and probably his younger brother will suffer in the company. They have him in their clutches, even if he's gone. |

Even though KAT-TUN will still continue, I honestly don't think it'll be for that much longer. But we'll see. I'll still support Koki for whatever future endeavors he has. He's always stood out to me within Johnny's (along with Nagase) and I've always sort of respected him for that. |

I also hope for Koki solo, but I think it'll be very hard for him. Once you're out, under these circumstances, I think JE has a very tight grip on the entertainment industry. They can work against Koki and make it so he never existed in the entertainment world. I also think he is the best rapper in Johnnys and he was extremely entertaining. I just don't think KAT-TUN can survive very long. Because Koki was very flashy and he created that kind of bad-boyish image that a lot of people enjoyed in contrast to the sweet stuff other Johnnys bands had going on. None of the members left have these qualities, and so that part of KAT-TUN is gone, where does it leave this band? I think it is very sad, but they should disband or create a new unit or something, because like this, they seriously can't call themselves KAT-TUN anymore. |

hello everyone...i'm rising from the dead to give my opinion. ;)
i have to admit, my interest in KAT-TUN has dramatically dropped over the past year or 2. it really had nothing to do with the members or the music or anything like that, but rather, i just felt like it was time for me to move on to other things. however, with Koki's departure, i can't help but feel incredibly sad that all of this has happened to a music group that gave me great amounts of joy growing up. KAT-TUN has always stood out to me from the other idol groups because they were always little pests and they were imperfect. (i say that out of love, btw.) but i think looking back, i always somewhat knew that all these different personalities would cause a lot of tension, but i never really expected it to come to all this. i guess my fangirl goggles were a bit too tight, but ah...they were my favorites and i would've gone to the ends of the earth for them. i know the 4 will go on brilliantly without Koki, but ah, it's not the same. many well wishes for Kame, Taguchi, Ueda, & Nakamaru going forward. |
It might be cruel, but as I mentioned it earlier, I also pretty much lost interest in KAT-TUN over the last years. Yes, this makes me sad, but not as much as it would have years ago. :(

I really cannot visualise how their future material will be like , it definitely will not be the same without JOKER that's for sure And I feel really bad for Kame as he appeared on Sukkiri!! the day after news broke out & the host Kato Koji asked him about Tanaka which I can't imagine how Kame felt when they aired video footages of their concerts with Tanaka :x Somemore , Kame even thanked the producers who gave him the chance to speak about the matter live on air + Kato Koji even said that Kame was so brave to speak about this My respect on Kame just increased further big time |
Yes, that is exactly the problem Karen. So much of KAT-TUN's past material depends on Kokis contribution. They need new songs soon, because most of the older songs - I just cannot imagine them being performed without the second T - they lost 2 members, and Koki was pretty prominent in their songs.
Tbh I think the one who will most likely be mostly unaffected by this is Kame. He is still one of the favourites of the company and with Yamashita and Akanishi being able to have a solo career I can imagine him doing well without KAT-TUN sooner or later. The real victims of this whole mess are Taguchi, Ueda and Nakamaru. As much as I like them, I think the future might not be as bright for them as for Kame. |
Actually the ones I really feel sorry for aside from the members are the fans , especially for those that have been supporting the guys from their pre debut in 2001 until now
At 1st I was shocked at the outcome but after that , I was angry at Tanaka because it's not as if Johnny didn't gave him ample warnings in not moonlighting outside of the agency The warning signs were already there but Tanaka continued to flout them giving Johnny no choice but to sack him from the group + for him to also leave the company , this duo punishment is even more severe than what Akanishi sustained Also , I feel that Tanaka didn't spare a thought for the fans & the reminding members as his choice of actions cost him dearly For example if I've supported them for the past 12 years of my life & for you to just throw that all away down the drain , wouldn't you feel that you've been made a cuckoo if not a laughing stock ? Then again I'm sure Tanaka has his reasons for moonlighting outside of J&A . Does this indicate/mean he wasn't being paid as much as he was hoping for ? We would never know since all these financial monetary aspects are kept confidential It's the same with NEWS . Tegomass can continue on their own but if NEWS disband for good , what will happen to Koyama + Shige ? The way I see it , KAT-TUN should disband . Kame definitely can carve out a solo career on his own as he's still relatively scandal free + he can sing & carry himself well even up to now And no offense to Nakamaru , Ueda and/or Taguchi but they do not have the drawing star power as much as Kame alone + please don't even bother to re-record old songs without Tanaka , it will be an insult |
What I always ask myself, even with Akanishi back then is what exactly is in these contracts and more importantly WHEN are they signed? If they are signed when the boys are very young their parents probably have to do it, and they never know what exactly it is they are signing. When you're an adult you just have different views on your life as at the time when they joined the agency. If they resign as adults, then really lot of this is Kokis fault, but what he thought is best for him, I guess.

The way I see it , Tanaka wouldn't have been moonlighting on the sly if not for the fact that he probably wasn't getting paid enough from Johnny as much as he was hoping for
I don't know how much each of them is paid salary wise but I guess there's a base pay + followed by other external factors , such as solo and/or group endorsements & etc |

I think it's the best decision. And I think it is very unlikely that Koki is on one of these songs. They NEED songs without him, and they need them soon. With new material from themselves and all the solo stuff they probabably can hold their concert, without it being much of a problem. I also think that releasing something so soon and having a concert is probably going to help them in the long run. Good luck KAT-TUN. Now the fans still want to support them, but you'll never know what would've happened if they only released new stuff in half a year.

Hm this is one of the things I hate about the Japanese idol culture.
They make it sound as if him prioritizing his private life is a bad thing. But the fact is, it's not a bad thing. It's just the silly and completely unneeded rules that such companies have. AKB and HP included. I generally feel bad for a lot of them, especially because had this been a SMAP member, he'd have held a public apology and then continued on with SMAP. I'm actually glad he kind of did what he wanted. In the end he had to leave KAT-TUN, but if he was doing all that stuff, warning after warning, he probably didn't truly want to be in KAT-TUN. Otherwise a little voice inside would have told him to stop. Meh, oh well. I'm not too troubled over it, I just feel bad for Koki. Not so much for KAT-TUN, but for Koki. |
^Understandable, when Koki is your favourite. Yes, KAT-TUN or at least the members individually will survive in Johnnys. Koki won't, because Johnnys has the power in japanese media. I just don't see him continueing a career, because if you fall out of favour with this company, all your talent won't help you. It really sucks. Just look at Music Station, they have a Johnnys artist every damn week and people who just could be sort of aim for the same fans are never invited. There are a lot of ridiculous rules for the idols, too. Maybe Koki was afraid of leaving on his own, so he pushed the limits until they had to fire him.
