When I first heard Big Boys Cry I thought it will be her typical no PV song like Sit Stay Wait Down but I was wrong and she looked damn gorgeous in that PV, dancing in big dress like it's super easy and the red hoodie with long side bangs was super fabulous!

I just watched the Contrail PV. I'm afraid I'm not impressed with it at all. I love to see Namie smile, but that's the only part I liked of the whole video :(

She's actually more pretty now than in her earlier career years imo

She probably is, she already removed the ones on her left wrist (and did a new one on that arm later)... I think she's finally getting rid of her not so pretty tattoos (even though the ones on her right arm were meaningful)...
Maybe later she'll make smaller and prettier tattos for her mother and son :) Or maybe she doesn't think she needs those tattoos anymore as it's been more than 10 years since she did those and she has already overcame this phase of her life... Who knows...

I remember when I first discovered who she was and I thought she was really beautiful but she had some very ugly tattoos on her right arm... Later on I found out what they meant and thought "oh, so at least they have a nice meaning"... now, many years later, I kind of got so used to them that I found it awkward to see her arm with the tattoos almost gone :laugh

Oh sorry! I was confused by what you meant. Silly me. :P I purchase my Japanese magazines from 'Kinokuniya' in Manhattan, NYC. :yes If I'm not able to get into the city then I just order them from CDJapan since the magazines retail on the the site for US $5-$7 and shipping is only $5 US for me.
However, I have extra points racked up in my CDJapan account, so I'm going to take advantage of those and buy a few magazines. Dirt cheap. :P

to be honest, Namie's the queen of Japanese magazines. she's everywhere!! and that's soo great :) it'd be a problem for me to buy all her mags if I were a fan haha :)

I only buy the magazines with nice presents ^___^ and still, I have like 4 magazines with Namie on the cover.

How do u get only $5US shipping from CDJ?!! O_O I go there (I'm in Canada) and they charge me A LOT more than that even for SAL. :(

Japanese magazines are worth the money though, they are so thick compared to magazines in other countries, and they usually come with an item of some sort

Yeah know what u mean. I've even tried asking friends in the US to mail them to me before, but the mailing costs for stuff like magazines and wallscrolls has really gone up. I cant mail a poster from Mississauga to Toronto (that's very close btw) for under $7CAD. :(

^Tbh, i have Damage(320kpbs) & Beautiful(192kpbs), but honestly I cannot hear a difference between the 2 qualities. I just plain don't hear it. However if you want/need Damage in that quality, I'll upload it for you. :)

Then maybe the one you have just happens to be bad quality? It was released on iTunes so the quality should be good unless you have a transcode

I know it was released on iTunes, and I do think I have the best quality (I got both versions that were uploaded on Jpopsuki and checked the spectral and took the one that was higher), but it just doesn't sound like studio quality. The whole song is somehow muffled and just sounds low in quality (like a PV rip), but maybe that's the way it's supposed to sound. Or I'm just imagining it.

We have 9 other new songs to listen to first. Don't feel discouraged becasue 2 songs (which will can end up on her next best album) aren't on the album. You might end up loving other tracks more. Listen first, decide later. ;) That's what I always do in regard to buying physical CD's. :yes


Overall I'm pleased with the "lighthearted" theme of the tracks. But knowing Namie, they probably sound anything but. "Stardust in my eyes" intrigues me the most.

I do like that the TLC girls spoke so fondly of Namie, and that Chilli was glad they they finally released a collab together, because the one they did together over 10 years ago was never released (Put 'Em Up was suppose to be a collab with Chilli)

What does TLC sound like? I've heard of them many times, but never heard their music that I can recall.

They are an R&B/Hip-hop girl group who were extremely popular in the 90s, I'm sure that if you listen to No Scrubs, Unpretty or Waterfalls you will recognize the songs...
Alot of people still consider TLC to be one of the greatest girl groups to have ever existed.. :)
