Thank you for creating a new post Karen. Although I'm disappointed with "HERO", I'm really looking forward to the album. I just hope that the album tracks will be more reflective of her R&B style rather than EDM.

5th thread! Nice. While Hero is pretty mainstream and a little generic (club sound), I still find it enjoyable. It has a lot to do with the imagery from the M/V, that was amazing!

Hopefully you're right on that Brit cos if her 2nd album's going to be something like GOLD ie. dumping in a lot of her singles & her B-sides with very little new material , then I wouldn't be very hopeful on what it will offer

Let alone it has been 3 years since she last released GOLD too

I didn't bother with High Flying but I decided to check out HERO.

Very reminiscent of the music on the radios right now. However, I really enjoy EDM. This is a very beautiful song. I hope there's more stuff like it on her next album (as well as with R&B). But please, no more CLUBBIN" type tracks.

I really like Hero and the mv is great too. She's forever gorgeous. I enjoyed High Flying too so I don't mind the style of song.

Thanks for letting us know that the album is available for order! I just preordered a copy of the limited edition! I'm so happy that it's finally being released after years of waiting!

I hope that the album covers are going to be as good as GOLD ones. I'm so happy that we'll finally be getting this album. Don't know if I should get it yet, though.

now's to wait for HMV Japan to get the album listed at their end since I'm able to purchase the CD + DVD at a much lower price than what it cost x)

I intended to wait until other websites posted the album to do price comparisons but I wasn't patient enough to wait, lol. I had some points at CDJ to use which basically took care of shipping and handling but if it still comes out cheaper elsewhere, I may cancel my CDJ order and order the album from another site.

HMV always charges me lower than what the actual album costs in the 1st place + they only uses ems which's a win win situation for me

I seldom use cdjapan as they're not generous when comes to giving discounts for their online members

That said I'm waiting for hmv to list JASMINE's new album for preorder. Anytime now!

Not that I mind as I don't buy her singles but somehow this does not feel worth it in waiting so long for her 2nd album to finally get released

Thanks for posting the tracklist kakumei! As the b-sides from her last two singles are not on the album, I'll definitely be purchasing them in the near future (I have the limited edition version of "High Flying" but am leaving it sealed and will buy the regular edition to open and play and I didn't buy "HERO" so I'll be buying it as well). However, as expected, the b-sides from the majority of her singles are on the album so I'm looking forward to hearing her new songs. I also can't wait to see the covers as well.

Well, there are bsides, but at least I like them all, unlikely BED :P

When you look at it, GOLD also only had 4 new tracks (not counting the interlude, but counting PRIDE). Anyway, all of the included b-sides are extremely great so I'm not complaining in any way.

I already expected BED & Missing not to be included in Complexxx anyway cos both are covers

Also if JASMINE were to include all the B-sides from her 5 singles , that will be too excessive

There was a LE CD+DVD edition with digipak packaging that's now out of print. I guess that counts.

Since I do not buy JASMINE's singles I'm not so affected by the bsides included in Complexxx

In fact it just so happens the bsides that're included are some of my faves from her including Touch me on the beach <3

I really like the album cover preview, I think I saw a poster yesterday in Shibuya, but I'm not sure, didn't have the time to double check.
But the promo for the single was a bit better this time.. It's getting some airplay on radios and on Shibuya screens as well. There was a nice stand in Tsutaya Shibuya and Shinjuku's as well :) Had a hard time finding her single in smaller shops though so that might explain the bad sales.. (not to mention the scary cover but that's another matter lol)

But yey, ordered my copy, hopefully I'll like the songs <3

^ she has had a few great covers, I've loved this last run up to the new album. and best partner's cover would have been brilliant, if they hadn't changed the color at the last minute. GOLD's whole concept was amazing though, so maybe it's just the albums they put that extra effort into.

JASMINE looks fierce on the covers! I really like them, especially the CD+DVD cover (which is the edition I preordered)! I personally would have preferred them in color like the promo photo, however, she seems to be making a statement with the black and white which contrasts greatly from all of her previous colorful covers. I also think they'll look even better in person, especially the limited edition.

According to her official website, the first press casing for the limited edition is a "3-way back Special BOX". Also, an album digest has been uploaded on her official youtube channel today, however, it's unviewable outside of Japan. I hope someone can upload it onto another site soon so we can hear the previews of the new songs!

I listened to High Flying the other day since I wanted to check it out. It's way too long of a song but the production work and the melody is amazing.

It's sweet but I feel it shouldn't be the 1 that concludes Complexxx . That said , maybe the song will grow on me gradually

took pics of the booklet, basically a long fold out with light and dark JASMINE coming together at the end (which looks a little scary ;)) there is a separate booklet with the lyrics.



oh, and it's one of those slide out the side boxes, not a slipcase like I thought it looked like either. and it's all silver metallic x's even though it doesn't look like it in the earlier pics.

Is it just me, or are the single tracks remastered on the album?

at first listen ONLY YOU sounded different to me, but I thought maybe that was just because I hadn't played it in so long.

My copy just arrived! I've been steering clear of this thread because I didn't want to see any pictures of the packaging beforehand...UGH I wish I had been spoiled. GOLD's 1st press digipak was so beautiful I was expecting something similar. :'( All of my tears for daaaaaays. Better a slipcase than nothing I guess.

Honest to god tho, that font was fine (sort of) to use to write out her name and the album title on the cover, but seeing it used to write out the entire tracklist on the back of the slipcase makes me want to stab my eyes out.

No opinions on the new music yet, I haven't heard any previews and I'm listening to the album now, and have only made it to Best Partner (whyyyyyyyyy is this song so flawless?!?)


EDIT: Oh my god, this album is bumpin'. I'm less disappointed than I thought I would be about the lack of new album tracks because everything is just so cohesive and fantastic. :heart Realize is probably my favorite of the new tracks, and I really enjoyed "I'll be there"--I thought it finished the album off on a nice note. I'll be listening to this quite a bit over the next few weeks, I can tell!
