[BREAKERZ] 19th thread ~ hiatus + DAIGO's debut solo album DAIGOLD (5.3.14)
Welcome to the 19th thread of 1 of JRock most talented trios :D :heart Band Formed in April 2007 , BREAKERZ is a J-rock trio that is made up of 3 gorgeous & extremely talented guys : frontman vocalist DAIGO & guitarists AKIHIDE and SHINPEI . BREAKERZ started off as DAIGO and SHINPEI's project . Meeting through a mutual friend and various recording sessions , they worked together to make a demo . DAIGO is in charge of music and lyrics while SHINPEI is in charge of arrangements . In the span of 1 month , they created 40 songs . Later on , they are joined by DAIGO's longtime friend who has worked many times with him in his band , songwriting , playing guitar and singing chorus . That is AKIHIDE & the 3 of them joined together to form BREAKERZ . The origins of BREAKERZ's name means "wanting to destroy" or "destroying once & for all" & connects breaking through genres & barriers . The original band's name was first spelled with an S but it was later changed to Z adopting the letter from B'z , which SHINPEI's a massive big fan of the duo . Incidentally , the band's name was derived even before SHINPEI joined . BREAKERZ's goal was to be like the musicians that they admire/respect such as hyde & Himuro Kyosuke . All arrangements are credited under BREAKERZ as so but it is the composer of the song who leads the arrangement , while the rest of the members fine tune the song while utilising their own ideas . Their music can't be described in just one word . It's a fusion mix of AKIHIDE's UK rock guitar sounds & SHINPEI's American rock guitar sounds which're both combined with DAIGO's somewhat sexy lush seductive voice xD . The band's historic debut is on 6 June 2007 with their first single WAKE UP MY SOUL / THE TRAIN's GONE ... became available on iTunes Japan . BREAKERZ is signed by ZAIN Records , a member of the Being Giza Group . The trio made their major debut with their self-titled debut album on July 25th 2007 . Their first live performance took place at SHIBUYA BOXX on August 5th 2007 . During live performances , the guys often wear prayer bead bracelets which were made by DAIGO's late maternal grandma . BREAKERZ doesn't have a permanent bassist nor a drummer in their duty roaster , so they use various support members when comes to recording of their material & also in live performances too . Eiki Eiki drew/published a comic book called Eiki Eiki no Buchaketai !! that was released on 3rd June 2009 & the manga centres on DAIGO & their late grandpa 3) DAIGO's famously well known for his WISH rock pose . On why he use the word WISH , it's because it derives from the word Wissu which's like a greeting that school students used , kind of like the Japanese version of the word 'hi' 4) In real life , DAIGO's a complete DoM (Mascochist) but onstage during live performances & in the band's PVs , he adopts a DoS (Sadist) personality 5) DAIGO is responsible for close to writing/composing (most of the time both but depends) 90% of BREAKERZ's material 6) 3 things he cannot live without - phone , iphone & gloves 7) Prior to the release of DAIGO FIRST PHOTOBOOK DAIGOING L.A , it was DAIGO's 1st visit to US where he went to L.A for 5 days to shoot/complete the photobook 8) DAIGO has tremendous respect to Himuro Kyosuke (whom composed DAIGO's debut solo single MARIA when he was DAIGO☆STARDUST) , Acid Black Cherry's yasu , L'Arc~en~Ciel~'s hyde & holds them in high regard/esteem In fact BREAKERZ super respect ABC's yasu , so much so that DAIGO calls yasu Aniki / elder brother in his blog He's also good friends with Anna Tsuchiya , SID's lead singer/frontman Mao , GACKT & abingdon boys school's lead singer/frontman Takanori Nishikawa aka T.M.Revolution 9) Aside from WISH , in 2010 , DAIGO coined a lingo called Kuraimu (pronounced as Climb) . Today , the guys's official YouTube site uploaded this really cool video clip of AKIHIDE in which he played the full version of a song titled Battle .
Battle is found as track #10 in Lapis Lazuli & in the clip , AKIHIDE is accompanied by Akira Kawasaki who's the drummer of mouse on the keys [http://mouseonthekeys.net/] : Wow look at both AKIHIDE & Akira compliment each other in the clip :O + I think it's quite ridiculous on the way AKIHIDE played his acoustic guitar which really blowed me away big time , especially towards the tail end of the clip which's quite insane o_o Song wise , I think Battle sounds really good & AKIHIDE is wearing the same outfit as what he wore in the limited edition cover of Lapis Lazuli which makes him look very handsome <3 And since today's update via AKIHIDE's personal site is tagged as AKIHIDE × ○○” ムービー企画START！第一弾 “AKIHIDE × Drum”「Battle」公開 , I have a feeling there could be more clips of AKIHIDE playing a few more songs from Lapis Lazuli + being tagged teamed with other musicians from other bands :) |

In the latest episode of Shin Domoto Kyoudai , DAIGO said that he's 1 of the rare few that doesn't mind to get noticed on the streets as usually celebrities prefers otherwise in order to have privacy

DAIGO will release his 2nd solo single BUTTERFLY / Ima Aitakute … on 4th Dec
2 posts back , I posted/wrote on unofficial news that DAIGO will release his 2nd solo single on 4th Dec as this was coming from fan tweets that were floating around on Twitter as they caught 1st hand information on this at the Historical Spacey Hug meeting that took place yesterday in Tokyo . And now , the news has already been officially announced on DAIGO's official site & turns out it's yet another double A-side single release just like Itsumo Dakishimete / Mugen ∞REBIRTH :D Quote:

Today , the guys's official YouTube site uploaded this video clip of AKIHIDE in which he played the full version of a song titled Rain .
Rain is found as track #8 in Lapis Lazuli & in the clip , AKIHIDE is accompanied by a cellist who goes by the name Harutoshi Ito : Compared to Battle (which AKIHIDE was accompanied by mouse on the keys drummer Akira Kawasaki) , Rain is a lot more mellower/slower sounding which's not necessary a bad thing . I suppose since I've overplayed Battle quite a fair bit , I'm not liking Rain as much as I'm hoping for the time being but hopefully all that will change in due time :3 There will be 4 more 'surprises' that will be revealed in due time on the special site of Lapis Lazuli & hopefully there will be even more clips of AKIHIDE being accompanied by other musicians in this aspect :) |

On Fri , the guys's official YouTube site uploaded this video clip of AKIHIDE in which he played a longer version of a song titled Home .
Home is found as track #7 in Lapis Lazuli & in the clip , it's tagged as AKIHIDE × AKIHIDE × AKIHIDE because it features 3 different shots/angles of AKIHIDE playing his guitar but at different time intervals which're all done together at the same time o_o : It's quite amusing to see 3 different AKIHIDEs at the same time in the Home clip xD & I don't think this's the full version of Home but at least it's a much longer preview as compared to what was 1st originally uploaded on his personal site . But from there , it sounds quite promising & very chilled out . Somehow I think the version that will be included in Lapis Lazuli will be longer ... hopefully :3 |

NINKI index for AKIHIDE's Lapis Lazuli
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../O251013LJ.jpg http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/na/w/2013-10-25/ Nice to see Lapis Lazuli being listed on the NINKI even though most if not all the time , this's not 100% accurate since the NINKI are based on the results of a poll conducted by Oricon indicating interest in an upcoming release . Although the ratings are never a true reflection of sales , it does give a strong prediction about where the single/album will place in terms of popularity amongst the Japanese public . However, they are not an indication of how it will perform in terms of chart positioning and total sales for the week . I'm rooting for the best in Lapis Lazuli to do well & since next week's album releases are generally quite quiet , I hope it's able to shoot for at most a Top 20 position , just like what Amber was able to attain . That said , I can't wait to get my copies of Lapis Lazuli real soon & I'm sure it's going to be something different for me to enjoy :D |

Last night , the guys's official YouTube site uploaded this video clip of AKIHIDE in which he played a longer version of a song that shares the same title as the album .
Lapis Lazuli (the song) is found as track #2 in Lapis Lazuli (the album) & in the clip , it's tagged as AKIHIDE×8 because it features 8 different shots/angles of AKIHIDE playing his guitar but at different time intervals which're all done together at the same time o_o : I thought seeing 3 different AKIHIDE's in the video clip of Home was crazy but I didn't expect this time round , to see 8 different AKIHIDE's in the video clip of Lapis Lazuli , that's really pushing things through the roof in an artistic manner . There's quite a lot of things going in the clip & somewhat towards the end , it turns out to be quite rather comical which I couldn't help but laugh xD Especially when AKIHIDE was personally using the AKIHIDE Premium Night Show “Lapis Lazuli” mug himself & it's quite funny . Who knew AKIHIDE actually has a great sense of humour haha Song wise , this longer version of Lapis Lazuli (the song) is great as I've already liked the preview which I 1st heard being uploaded on AKHIDE's personal site so I'm sure the full version that will be included in the album will be great !
