According the Koda Kumi French Fans Page on FB, the KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2014 have already been announced - maybe they sent a message for the FC? There's nothing on her website...

Hopefully this means the album announcement is close! Yay! :D

according to jpc the 2014 tour will be a hall tour like Dejavu *w*

A hall tour means a lot of dates again, probably around 60-70. She really doesn't slow down, on the contrary.
Hopefully it's not too much.
Excited for the things to come though.

Personally I prefer arena tour cause there are not many performances and then we usually get the DVD earlier :laugh

Now seriously, I didn't feel much of a difference from Dejavu tour to her usual arena tours. The stage was much more complex than it was for her earlier tours, and if the camera hadn't shown footage from the audience or from a more distant camera, you couldn't even tell it was a hall concert :P

Hoping for an album announcement in the next weeks. Probably, as usual, they'll announce the date and how many different versions we'll get... The only album which had almost all details revealed right in the first announcement. For the others it was just like "Hey, save your money for that date"

it was the same with JAPONESQUE, until they announced it was cancelled due to pregnancy e_e

I mean touring Japan isn't like touring the world and most concerts are like a shift at work if you add rehearsing, she is a hard working mother..I think she can balance both quite well and her job is so flexible..she is lucky

anyway I hope the album is in January, I want to start of the new year with new Kuu jams

The only thing about hall tours I don't like is that they feel less grandiose :P

Why wasn't she invited to Kouhaku this year or has she declined the invitation?

^ I'd really like to know which of these things actually happened d: The only reason I could imagine for her to decline was because of her family, but last year her baby was like some hours old and still she was at kouhaku performing Go to the top :shrug

Kouhaku's list this year seems a little short, don't know if it's the final list. I also think that because she wants to be with her family, but as Gustavo said it doesn't make much sense...

Maybe they will add new performers for Kouhaku later. There's still time after all. :)

It wasn't really a controversy, evey year they say her outfit is too sexy and blablabla. It's not a new thing, and I think that if she was invited this year, the outfit probably would be even shorter. lol
I feel that it's because she didn't had any #1 this year, almost all the guests had at least one this year.

She will be invited the moment JAPONESQUE TOUR tops the charts then I bet. :D

I haven't even bothered to watch Kouhaku since Ayu was on there singing Virgin Road. There's never more t that I want to see each year and then they only let them sing the song for like 2 min. I wouldn't bother performing there either doesn't really seem worth the trouble.

Poor Kumi... lol look at those camera men =O they would bleed if they were shotting at VMAs or any western music event... Gaga is coming to get ya! hahaha

When I think about it, Kuu's performances seem really short at Kouhaku every year. Unless it's a medley, she's never on stage longer than 1-3 minutes which is sad because I've always thought that she's the best live performer ever. ;_;

those 2 mins are broadcasted to like 1/3 or more of Japanese homes tho

but anyway it does seem kinda waste for her since her sales never really get a bump from it

also I hoping her new album's theme is very Koda Kumi like I want to be just about her instead of like a Japanese, Universe, Magic theme type of deal....idk just another random theme but something that feels ~authentic~

5. Koda Kumi
1. A sexy J-Pop singer with a lot of emotion in her work.
2. A nerd's dream wife.

I feel this album will be like Namie's Feel, which I think it's kinda uninspired for Kumi to do... I mean, it worked really well with Namie because of her "cool" style, but with Kuu I always expect strong and soulful songs since her vocal is powerfull.

The thing I'm praying the most is another song / intro with whistle tone. I remember when they first announced Darling, they said the song had a lot of high notes but it wasn't that much anyway.

And I always want more songs with the "jazz"ish style, from songs like Cutie Honey (the instrumental is pure gold) to feel.

Ohh,yeah! Chase Part II would be really nice or maybe something enka like she did on Color the cover!

^ tbh I dream of Kuu releasing an enka cover album like Akina Nakamori did :heart

And acoustic Kuu. And maybe even opera Kuu (because I love opera). Seriously, this woman voice's possibilities are endless. She should experimenting even more than what she did, there are singers who can't, but she definetely can, and should.

Enka Kuu would be amazing. Her voice is suited for that, too. I love her deep voice. She needs to say in a lower register more often.

The 1000 no kotoba ~orchestra version~ is already amazing, she really should have more orchestrated songs. I remember when ayu was releasing A CLASSICAL and people started talking about Kuu releasing something alike and named it "Kuu-lassical" :laugh I'd die for that btw

Talking again on the new album, I'd love her to work with Mika Ninagawa again, the Color The Cover shooting was a BOOM of eyegasms, and Pink Spider looked pretty good even with that messy editing. I would be in heaven if the covers looked something like this shoot of hers:

This would be great. Her deep voice is so goood!! But she's wasting her talent on songs like Dreaming now although the message of the song is really nice.

Kuu is probably the only artist that can make me really crazy about enka music. I'm not a fan of the genre but when Kuu sings in that style, it sends shivers go down my spine. She's just so awesome. I wouldn't mind her turning into a enka singer at some point tbh. :D

I kind of agree, because even if that style is very nice, she did everything she could with it. I'm not saying she should abandon it (I'd die without my Ero-Kuu music), but she really can space more with genres and stuff, it can't be anything but good for her career.

Let's Party Vol. 2 last concert was held yesterday, there are some pics on peeproom :) Now with the FC Tour over, I'm pretty sure she'll focus on the new album. Cant wait for rumours, they're always my favorite part hahahahaha Wonder if the song HIRO gave Kuu in the begining of the year and the one she recorded in LA with the Toby guy [?] will be on the album
