Looks like it's a guy who is attending medical school at UCLA as a graduate student. He's also 10 years younger than her. The guy we saw before? I think they met via Christophe and they started dating in the spring of this year.. She posted about it in TeamAyu. SHE IS NOT PREGNANT.

I can't say I'm completely optimistic about this considering Ayu's history, but if she thinks this is the right person and the right time, then I can only wish her the best and hope that her happiness will last this time. :)

I always want her to be happy since that is what she wants (she makes it VERY obvious in her lives and songs) but she has the worst timing with these announcements.

This is why a lot of people are unsure about her love life or whatever is going on with her because the timing ALWAYS just so happens to come around the time that some new release is coming.

ohh i'll be more than happy that if she's actually pregnant rather than announcing an engagement then a marriage, but a year later, a divorce. Goes too fast. It was the same last time. Why doesn't she take her time to date someone? I think USUALLY people don't decide to get married until after 2-3 years of dating? But of course she's free to make her own choices, but it seems so rushed and I doubt it'll end in happily ever after if she rushes into marrying someone again. Nevertheless, her choice and I wish her happiness.

I can almost see her marrying and then divorcing someone again yearly from now, it seems to be like some kind of negative trend. And if Japanese fans say "ayu is over" then, it's sad, but I can see where they're coming from. Ayu is not the old Ayu anymore, she's changed. I didn't think her to be one to rush in to marriages. She's only married and divorce once.
She's never been engaged before.

The thing I'm only sad about is the wrong timing. She should choose to announce this next year when she's not doing anything. But I suppose the fault goes to the guy for proposing at the wrong time (unless it's ayu who did the proposal...).

I think the not wanting to leave Japan thing with Mannie was partly the reason but also a good cover so she didn't have to explain her problems with Super Mannie until she was ready to. The Maro thing was more due to him being...economical with the truth than her fault I think.

Somehow I think it doesn't matter whether the news is out around the time she releases a new single. Everyone knows that this kind of news doesn't boost up sales, and I think her selling power is not big enough to be affected nowadays (probly 10K less sales? but it doesn't matter whether it's 30K or 50K, since the numbers lie within the same range anyway). I guess probly it's time for her to really let those sales numbers/no. 1 streak/etc., and focus on her personal life.

Guys I don't think it's as horrible as it was with the other two since he looks/sounds like a normal med student and he's not in the showbiz, which could lead to an easier and healthier relationship.
