It's a beautiful setup and I love the overall result, but her facial expression... Why does she look so cold and distant, almost like she's about to go "Kill Bill" on us?

Yay for traditional Ayu! FINALLY!! I hope the inner pic not as awkward as her last time traditional pic. The SCawaii mag when she wore an edgy cut red and black kimonos. With more awkward expression and hair do.
The theme kinda 成人の日 or Coming of Age Day than a regular New Year. Imo

Her eye makeup looks so different compared to what it usually looks like.

People should open their eyes and look that there is a small bubble next to her cold face.

is it just me or AYu's hair is getting thinner....? i think she's putting tem through too many coloring processes latelly...it looks really thin and rather weak....

I don't think that's the case at all necessarily... she probably just got it cut before this and in the shoots where she had 'voluminous' hair, it was probably a weave/wig.

^might be, can't argue, but i mean even her earlier shots like years ago (i'm talking few years ago, like 7, 8 even more), have fuller hair and i am not talking about long hair.
