I'm never going to get over how TOUCHDOWN made it onto the album but Is this trap? didn't. I'd prefer it if both made it, but if I had to choose I'd rather have the latter. Of course, she does it with every album so it's to be expected. Show me your holla sounds pretty awesome.

Wow, SHOW ME YOUR HOLLA sounds so different than I expected. That saxophone makes me think of Cutie Honey, Chase and Butterfly at once lol. :D It's a great song. I get a feeling it might be the opening song for the album. Those bells in the beginning are so epic. 8D

The covers are total hotness, i didn't think i'd like the plain white backgrounds but she completely makes up for it with those pictures, dayum!
SHOW ME YOUR HOLLA is rubbish though, it sounds unfinished and suffers from the same problem most of the songs from this era do, lost potential. Perhaps it's the quality of the song, i just feel like they could have done so much more with it. It's not that bad though. I hope she brings it with some of the tracks we have left, TOUCHDOWN and Dreaming Now! are the only ones that got any replay value from me. |

"SHOW ME YOUR HOLLA" has to grow on me. It sounds like a hodgepodge of Daichi Miura's "GO FOR IT" and other songs. The first verse and bridge grabbed me (built up nicely) but the chorus fell extremely flat as well as the rest of the song. I'll probably enjoy it more in HQ. :yes
Oh well, it sounds more interesting than anything else she's released this era single wise. :innocent |

And I can totally feel the "new" Kumi for a while now, JAPONESQUE showed that already imo. Energetic songs, softer songs with messages beyond the standard love theme, less (cheesy) ballads, more confidence. I mean, just watch JAPONESQUE TOUR!! She found her place in life with her family and finally accepted her past. I'm so happy for her. And proud! |

Also while I never missed the cute section not being present in the Japonesque Tour I did feel it lacked in certain other things. I felt like it was rushed a tad and certain things felt out of place. I'm hoping the Bon Voyage Tour will be her best one yet. |

I have high hopes for this album, even if I don't quite like half of its singles, but I'm hoping for good album tracks, and it seems like it *-* I like the fanclub and the CD only covers the best... I'll have to try finding the fanclub version for sale later, I can't buy this album before April >_< |

^I think she'll just stop doing those really sugar coated cutesy songs now. Also if she does do ballads I think she'll do more mature ones. I'm excited to see this actually. As much as I love A LOT of the Japanese music, sometimes the overly cutesy and corny stuff has gotten on my nerves from time to time. And while in my late 20s and still being a bit of both a geek and dork are things I must admit the cutesy and corny as all heck are still some things I'm not overly fond of watching.

^Nice. Only ones I really like on that list are Kuu and Mika Nakashima. JUJU's also not bad, but I'm not a big fan. I'm also not a DCT fan either, but Kuu seems to work miracles with just about everything she touches, which makes me very excited to hear this. :heart

I don't want Kuu completely drop the cute songs tbh. I love those. They're one of those kind of songs that really has made me feel good because they make me happy when I feel down. Also, it's a part of Koda Kumi to me. It would be very weird not to have those kind of songs on her albums. :D

I think Go to the top was one of the most experimental songs Kuu has released in recent years. And I personally don't really mind these "usuals" being released either because no matter what she does, she always stands out for me. :p
