Talking on BEST's, do you guys think they'll add the UNIVERSE singles to the next compilation? Taking it strictly down "to the rules", third universe covered only Black Cherry, Kingdom and TRICK eras, so UNIVERSE is wasn't still included in a compilation. otoh, it was paired with the BEST, so technically it was included in a BEST.

I'm saying so cause maze made me wonder how many tracks we've got for the next BEST, and if they choose the tracks like they usually do with Kuu, we'd have:

Without UNIVERSE, we could have an okay amount of tracks for a compilation, maybe even with two or three new more songs, from further singles or simply new material. Adding UNIVERSE, however, would make a bit of mess with the number of tracks, but then having new singles, and knowing it's Kuu, we could have something like 8~10 new tracks for the BEST, and it'd be another 2CD set pretty much like first things were.

Of course we can't predict what they're gonna do, but I can already see that if a BEST covering songs from Dejavu until Bon Voyage would totally be a must-have :heart

I like Ai no Uta. I didn't at first, but as her ballads got cheesier I started to appreciate it more.

I wonder why there's no pamphlet on yesasia? They usually sell it, now they only have Tshirts, towels, sticker and plate... ?

Maybe her next best album will be a compilation from her debut until now.
Anyway, i don't see it selling as well as BEST ~third universe~ which was a sucess imo since she managed to slow down the album sales' drop with that release.

About Ai no Uta, i liked it at its release (even if i thought Yume no Uta was 100 times better) but i became really tired of it when she started to overperform it.
Imo it is one of her most soulless ballad. Pretty much all her singles ballads have more soul than this song.

I'm curious to know if she switch Someday with another hit in the last shows.
I wonder also with which song she interacts with the public this year. What do you think ?

I'm noticing the encore songs so far are pretty big songs. I think they'll record each of these encores and then either spread them out across releases or include them all in the best album DVD.

Yeah, Yume no uta is way better than Ai no Uta. Not only the song but also the PV (even that I absolutely adore the scene with those crystal drops or whatever on Ai no Uta).

I saw a review saying that XXX is the song with people from the crowd, but I'm not so sure about that.

All these songs being performed and the 15th anniversary getting close, I can see a second DVD for the tour with footage of most of those random songs.

I agree, I usually think of second session as an original album. The songs might have been released in singles before, but since none were in previous albums and were all released in only a 3 months period, for me it doesn't feel like a best album...

Why has no one talked anything about you yet? From those wintery-orchestrated-chessy ballads, it's my favorite hands down

Talking again about singles project, while Kuu is the "Queen of singles", as her article on urban dictionary from fucking 2006 already claimed, releasing many singles with her recent numbers is not a wise thing to do imo. Only if they plan it properly with really good tie-ins, but I find it pretty hard to happen... Even tho I'd love it :P

you is the best cheesy wintery single, I will admit that. But, I also agree that Ai no Uta's covers slay. I hated Kuu at the time that single was released (thankfully, I've seen the light) and remember being sooooooo jealous as an Ayu stan that she didn't make those covers :laugh

Lol the ai no it's covers were nothing spectacular. They were strange for me.

you for me was quite dull for a very long time. I've grown to enjoy it for the nostalgia factor. But the only "epic" winter ballad she had is yume no uta. And those covers are superb.

stay with me has the feeling of an "epic" winter ballad but is downright horrid to listen to. The melodic progression in the chorus just doesn't flow well in my opinion.

The piano version of you slays all your faves so meh

I think Suki de... x3 is her cheesy winter ballad.

Suki de isn't a winter ballad, it's an autumn ballad. The atmosphere is that of colors changing, cool winds blowing, leaves beginning to fall.

Winter ballads aren't just songs that are releases in winter. "Winter ballads" IMO have those blatant winter sound effects. Chimes, etc.

A single project with good tie-in and limited for 20k each single, this would be the right choice. And 7 singles would be a good number, with 2 songs each and the last one with 3, making 15 songs at the end. lol
The thing about the 12 days of Xmas is that the project was extremely ambitious and they promoted the hell out of her, besides she being the 'it girl' of the moment.

Honestly, NOTHING she will release now will sell nicely, much like Ayu. She might as well do something epic like a single project. If anything, Avex will have no money to spend on Kuu for something this good (as usual).

I tried comparing Ai no Uta, Yume no Uta and Futari de..., but, seriously, after a while I just happened to think about things like Pearl Moon, and it all seemed pointless, lol.
They're all nice classic and I always get emotional and sing along when Kuu performs them on tour, but she can do SO MUCH BETTER, even when she does standard ballads (cough*MOONCRYING*cough).

The ballads on Feel My Mind are still her best, imo. I live for Hana.

^ Totally. That live on Dirty Ballroom was one the best perfomances she has ever done. Actually, Dirty Ballroom is one of the best concerts she ever held. Hands down.

It's just such a dull ballad for me.
Ai no Uta is alright, the chorus is pretty catchy I admit. Though personally I need a certain mood for it.
Overall I don't listen to her so called winter ballads often in general.

I honestly can't get over how much I love the DH6 covers. They are so simple, but so elegant and classy.

EDIT: Did anyone else read their "Koo-chan" e-mail magazine that said she's having the tour finale in Taiwan? Does that mean its the one going to be on the DVD?

Her DH covers are pretty hit and miss for me. I love the covers for DH2, 3 and 5 but I despise the rest including Beach Mix

DH6 is really good, because of its great flow imo. Especially Inside&Outside Fishbowl remix is cool, because I love how the both songs are connected in here.

The part from LOADED up to ESCALATE is awesome, too. And the last songs,too...

I also think DH6 flows in a good way, but it is one of the weakest in the series imo /: The only remix which got my attention at first was the Inside x Outside Fishbowl remix, while usually I get three or four remixes that turn into my jams at once.

But the scans are amazing, I love the pictures :heart I really like how she plays with her make-up on the photoshootings for DH

I actually want a Acoustic Orchestra remix album with stripped down versions of her songs. She sounds so amazing when she does acoustic versions so a album filled with nothing but those would be amazing (and that way I might be lucky and get the acoustic guitar version of TAKE BACK as a studio version...). *_*

The remix for Whatchu Waiting on? on DH6 is really awesome! I love how a dance song was make rock-ish which got me thinking. I love dance music as much as the next person, but remixes don't have to be just a thumping beat you'd hear in a club.

I want an album of remixes where the arrangement is altered for each of the songs to sound like a different genre of music. Acoustic orchestra remixes, rock remixes, maybe even a country sounding remix. Make a pop song sound like samba, make a rock remix sound like a ballad, make a ballad sound like an R&B Pop song, make a dance song sound like a cutesy song.

about Driving Hit's 6 I'm thinking in sell it when arrives to me because I don't like too much this remixes this time :(

My fave remixes are the ones for Inside & Outside Fishbowl (Dubstep and that little melody!) and also Whatchu Waitin' On. :heart

For me remixes have to change something significantly about the original song. Song genre, melody, arrangement...anything.
Cause otherwise I don't need a remix and can listen to the original.
