5 Ayu Songs You Always Skip

1) Greatful days.. horrible, horrible, horrible
2) ourselves; not feeling it these few months
3) HANABI ~episode II~; not feeling it either
4) Dolls; I used to love it but these days it's a little too long to listen whole way through
5) Humming 7/4; I hate this song and only like the bridge

But I'll try to list the ones that I always skip.

04 Party queen: Soooo bland and hollow.
05 You & Me: Sometimes I like it, but generally no. I really only like the intro/outro.

01. A Song is born: I don't like the arrangement as well as the high pitch, despite being a meaningful song I just can't.
02. Tell All: Same with above, the arrangement is messy and sounds unfinished especially when they bend the melody's direction in the bridge.

omg..why everybody skips Dolls? This is one of my favourites from ayu.

Why? (I like the verses but the chorus is so generic and Juno is sooo annoying)

I do not skip these, I simply omit them while transferring the albums on my MP3-Player but they are granted cordial accommodation on my HDDs (for archiving purposes), nonetheless :D

Obviously you're talking about me since I'm the only one who mentioned ever free. I love that song, I didn't say I hate it. I listed the songs I skip because I overplayed them and heard them too much because that's how much I like them.

Justice for Dolls. ;_;

Ignoring interludes and non-album songs:

1. Greatful days: Annoying, below average summer trash
2. kanariya: I will stop whatever I'm doing and walk to my CD player and stop the album when this is about to come up. I can't stand the cheesy arrangement, thank god there are many good remixes that do this song justice.
3. call: I can't wrap my head around why this song drives me out of my mind.
4. It was: Meh. So bland.
5. JEWEL: I've never figured out what makes most people love this song. It does nothing for me, boring throughout.

I won't include album tracks on her 5 first albums as i don't listen to them that much.
From newer albums, here are the parts i skip.
1) Bold & Delicious : Hmm YAYAYA GAGAGA... NOOO!
2) Party Queen : Please no.
3) Humming 7/4 : Only like the bridge.
4) Lady Dynamique : Boring.
5) The next love / Eyes, Smoke, Magic : Never do that again. Please.

Two of us is a wildly underrated track. Both HAL's Mix and the original.

So many songs I love in this thread, lol... but then so many songs I TOTALLY understand skipping. XD

1. LOVE ~since1999~ - I really only like LOVE~refrain~ out of the whole series, but tsunku's terrible, terrible voice just makes this one absolutely dreadful. The live version on ayu ready wasn't bad though...
2. from your letter - Meh. I like it more as time goes on, but I still usually skip it.
3. Close to you - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. The slow, sloooowww vibrato is just... not pleasant.
4. Sweet Season - goober music. >_< The arrangement is just so homogenized, it's like the song is lost in a fog. I was really hoping for more from the same composer as "sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana"... although the more country-ish mix, which you can sadly only hear in the other cut of the video, is much nicer. Not very ayu-ish, but much nicer.
5. Present - It was already very dated sounding in 1999, and her "for the fans" songs tend to be my least favorite song on every album on which they appear, they sound kinda disingenuous in general.

"Two of us" is pure magic. Alas, it's so easy to overlook this song :( Really love this song plus it always reminds me on DJ Amaya.

I'm always surprised how many people on AHS dislike ANGEL'S SONG. It's one of my favorites haha. The PV on the other hand...

wow so glad to see everyone's opinions! in my phone actually, i exclude all interludes/intros and most of the ASFxx album... I also have P.S II, Beautiful Day, meaning of Love, Eyes Smoke Magic, the next LOVE, etc excluded because I'd never listen to them.. lol

but Humming 7/4 wow seems like everyone hates that song, including me. i wonder why though.. it seems like a really high one when she does it in concerts; the bridge I love so much, but I think in the CD version it doesn't really do much =/

The only thing in this thread that's really heartbreaking to me is the hate for P.S II! Maybe it's cuz I was a fan back then but I loved how noisy & pretty it was at the same time, LOVED the beat, loved her voice. It was so unusual and epic and I still love it! I understand nearly everything else mentioned in this thread, but I don't get this one lol

How can people skip a song is born??? After watching the PoM performance and bawling like a baby, I appreciate that song so much more.

I think if we had a vocal version of the version on MY STORY Classical, more of us would listen to it. That arrangement is 1000x better. The closest we get are live versions like PoM and the Aichi Expo version (whose vocals were less than stellar).

Quite hard to only chose 5, there are a bunch of songs I NEVER listen to xD
