Can you guys help me with a few questions I have on Ballada

1.) What version of HimAWArI is on the CD? It's definitely not the "break the rules" version so I assumed it was the LOVE Enhanced version (never listened to LOVE Emhanced)

2.) Is NEVER END supposed to have that really annoyng low frequency noise in the background of it's music? I know the original on "break the rules" doesn't have that annoying noise. It sucks because that noise makes the song unlistenable to me.

^ The version is the LOVE Enhanced one, but I can hear it's remastered.

If you ask me it kinda seems like she resung a majority of this release, not really the more recent songs from the past few years but definitely sounds like a difference vocally, and musically you can definitely tell they remastered the tracks.

P.S. - Do the credits in the booklet say anything other than them being remastered?

5 pictures is 4 more than we usually get from Namie though

Not sure if anyone posted this, but BALLADA nabbed the number 1 spot for the week, with an astounding 254,944 copies sold.

The number 2 spot (which was also a new release) sold 43,146 copies. o_O

And actually for 2nd week, she's now also nabbed #1 sport with 30,777 copies so far lol

It's impressive how Namie's album sales have been so consistent. With the expectation of BF, all of her albums sold around the same for almost 10 years now :) Assuming Ballada will cross the 400k mark ofcourse, which I am sure it will.

^Yes, I'm sure that people in Japan don't care as much for hikki as they do for namie nowadays. Since she is not active right now, probably not even like ayu and kuu. I even think that hikki wouldn't survive as a slow decline as namie's on recent years, maybe a few digital hits if at all, if she would be active.

But she's on a music hiatus lol

Ballada already outsold FEEL's second week sales.

I had already asked this, but I was ignored.

How long can we expect the digipacks to be on sale in Japanese record stores? I want to buy the digipack when I go but I'm not sure if it'll still be there by about the 3rd of July.

If you want to support namie try Tower Records they may have some left or TSUTAYA but only the stores which sell stuff (Gotanda has a big one) and not the rent ones.
Or you can find them at the book offs if you just want to have the digipack. :D

It's probably gonna be there when you arrive. I bought FEEL 3 weeks after the release when I was in Japan and they still had plenty of digipacks.

Anyway, I can't believe someone can say "rejected J.Lo music" and mean it like an insult. My J.Lo stan spirit is outraged.

I don't know how about you guys, but all I want from Ayu is to resing some hits, A Song For XX, End Roll, etc, I have my faves, people have theirs, if instead of releasing A BEST 2, 3, 50, with old vocals she resung them, added rockish vocals, new PVs, gorgeous cover, awesome teaser, ...she would be where Namie is now. IMO.

Just dont pretend that every Ayu stan is mad about Namie gettin better sales. I am more than proud of Namie for being the only solo female to be able to slay the charts. And even happier that she is from the golden age of J-Pop: 2000s (she is a bit earlier but anyway). Ayu had her time of slayage, which has made her the most succesful female solo artist, but I doubt she is going to meet success again. I am happy that another female solo is still there to prove female solo power

Namie still has the best hair in all of J-Pop. One can not compete with those gorgeous locks. I'm not the biggest fan of hers but I am still impressed by the sales for Ballada.

Don't worry, I still saw FEEL with the digipack packaging on CD stores here in Japan on April of this year LOL
The limited/first press versions last for a long time on CDs stores, on July you most certainly will be able to find Ballada first press for sale, and even if you can't find it (which I highly doubt) just go to a Book Off store, there you should find a used-like-new first press copy of whatever of her latest albums you want for 1/3 of the original price.
2 weeks after its release date I already saw Ballada CD+DVD with the holographic first press bonus for sale on resale stores...

^ so at book off in Japan, people would sell literally brand new CDs and you can buy those CDs?
That's like... I can't believe it.
They really sell EVERYTHING there. (Praying for like-new copies of sweet 19 blues!! :O )

Also, pimenta, I was wondering if you knew of any deals that stores like Tower Records has. Deals like buy two for, I don't know, 3000 yen? I was wondering if Namie's CDs ever went on sales like that. Id love to buy her CDs 100% brand new whilst on sale.

^ You can find CDs of all states of conservation at Book Off, some are pretty much like new (those usually are like half or a third of the original price, but might be even a bit cheaper), and some are in ok state (much much cheaper). There are some older CDs that are in an ok state that they sell for something like ¥250 (and that includes some pretty rare stuff as well!), that's why I love Book Off :D
I suggest looking at the Book Off stores in Ikebukuro, Shinjuku and maybe Akihabara, those are really big, so it's easier to have whatever you might be looking for. But there are Book Offs everywhere in Tokyo.

Hm... tbh I only went to Tower Records once and didn't see any of those deals (at least not for the stuff I bought), so I don't know if they have those kind of deals. But at Tower Records for sure you can find Ballada with the digipack packaging (and maybe even some others), there I was able to find some pretty old limited CDs that I thought were completely sold out, I was quite impressed.

Does anyone know how much approximately a ticket to Namie's Osaka-Jo Hall show would cost (a really REALLY GOOD seat) :) ?

it's gonna be super pricey. Could go up to 50,000yen if not more for one ticket (especially if you're looking for a super good seat, if those even go on resale). I remember FC tickets for FEEL tour were sold for about 20,000yen (sometimes even more) per tickets without even knowing the seats... You might find cheaper but I doubt so, Namie's tickets usually sell like hotcakes.
