Just a quick comment, I thought after Dreaming Now! (and albums from other singers like Namie's FEEL) that Kuu was heading for a EDM on the next album or future releases, but it seems like her ''voyage'' is more "reggae'n'b" than what I expected. In a way, it's a bit of a let down, I was waiting for a hot track produced by some famous DJs, but ayu went for that way and not Kuu. Not that I don't like the new stuff, but I just feel a bit empty knowing there was no heavy-EDM shit on Bon Voyage and nor there's gonna be on HOTEL :P

I love any and all type of dance music. Usually I only suggest it for an artist if their music is getting boring and they need to change it up. So far I've loved everything she's done, but if she did attempt it, I wouldn't complain. Lay Down isn't EDM but it's definitely the closest to it compared to all her other club songs. If she went down that route I'd be excited. We didn't get a club banger on Bon Voyage so I am expecting her to make up for it on her next album.

I realy like the hip hop outfit, together with those long curls and the dark lipstick it looks coherent.
Much better than the last couple of hip hop outfits she wore for her concerts and lives (e.g. current tour and MTV Isle of Miyakojima). I`m surprised she`s dancing so much for a mellow song like HOTEL. Looks nice so far. |
I love her hip hop look! But the song is boring and the pv as well (maybe the full pv is better). But I really like the optimistic vibe of this single! Can't wait for the full single :)

EDM isn't a genre itself. It includes all electronic music - trance, house, hardcore, etc. The term has been around for ages.

I quite like it. I actually expected it to be more boring, without a plot and without dancing.
So I'm alright - she looks gorgeous, I really like the black hip hop outfit and the dancing. Kuu said something in the morning news making, that this switch is something about two sides of (human) character or something, like dark and bright - that's why there are two settings for the dancing. I didn't get all of it. Probably after drinking. Ah, and thanks, Flo honey! So Butterfly has a new arrangment, great. Lots of dancing is also great. Sounds like the second half of the concert is amazing. |
The audio of the video is out of sync. She looks gorgeous, but I'm not feeling the hip hop scene. I wasn't expecting a plot or something, just a looking good kind of video, like I'll be there, so it's good enough.

I like it. I want to love it, but it's not amazing enough for me to really remember it. For me, her summer stuff (lick me, hashire, lalalalala, Hotel, I'm sure I'm forgetting a few others) never seemed memorable enough for me to really enjoy them.

I've just seen the "HOTEL" PV & it's absolutely the perfect PV to watch in the summertime! :love
To start off with, I think "HOTEL" is such a fantastic song! I love it. :heart I find it to be pretty catchy, as well! Kumi looked so pretty & beautiful throughout the entire PV. :heart I also enjoyed the dancing in the PV, it was fun to watch! The location of the PV is totally fitting for the summer, it was all looking so beautiful. :) Overall, the "HOTEL" PV was an absolute pleasure to watch. I've totally enjoyed it! :) The song is actually stuck in my head right now, too! :laugh I just love it. :) |
First time i listen to Hotel, by the name, i imagine about
Kumi pretends to be like bell boy, cook, reception etc. for taking care her guest and then dance scene. One thing i'm disappointed is no Plot but others such as song and dance are trapping me stickyly, i love this summer single behind only Gossip Candy. I miss storyline PV, looking forward to winter single :) |
The only thing I'm not digging in the MV is the split screen. Who came up with that idea. Dancing part was the best. Overall MV is fun.

I really like the the melody of hotel and how she sings it. gives me such a nice feeling. Unfortunately this does not reflect on the lyrics because they are such a mess T___T emotionally this song can't deliver, because hardly anything makes sense. and the split screen is just plain annoying and confusing. (also i wouldn't be able to play this to friends without raising a few eyebrows, lawl) would be interesting to hear the original demo and lyrics! anyone? :D |

I just wacthed the Korean Group Sistar new MV called Touch My Body (http://youtu.be/Q33SoblaZbU), and somewhat it reminded me of old Kuu, maybe the visuals and the vibe, I think I really want Kuu to do smth like that, really, I mean, it's fun and summerish |
Only thing that bothers me with HOTEL PV is that they have divided the screen which I hate because I get too busy with trying to look at both screens at the same time and fail hard. :D Song itself is awesome though <3

I'm actually liking HOTEL more now than the first previews we had, but I don't like the PV so much. I wouldn't have a problem with it if it wasn't for the division of the screen. I usually don't have a problem with those pvs that use a divided screen, but in this case it seems just completely unnecessary imo...

Never forget that TAKE BACK hairstyle :laugh Besides it, the only thing that has changed is her eyebrows lol People say she had surgeries to open her eyes, but it's clear it's all makeup, when you see her on making of and such you see she has the same look from that time.
