I don't know if they'll upload ISO rips later on..

SKYia 31st August 2014 10:46 PM

I hope ISO will be added, Never Give it Up is so badly ripped with many interlaces and the PV itself is so awesome, it deserves a perfect rip.

ALfromHELLSING 31st August 2014 10:54 PM

Thanks for sharing MVs, loving those! SO FEVER is hot, I liked first half a bit better than 2nd tho. Kimi Omoi is a typical Phone Crying MV but nevertheless very pretty I enjoyed it. NEVER GIVE IT UP so funny, great MV.

IKR I loved it too. Whoever designed it did an amazing job.

I have a feeling that those are timed exclusives and will appear on the future albums, maybe already on 15th anni one. She said she's working hard maybe another 12 singles projects? I would be so happy.

Beauty4123 1st September 2014 03:53 AM

The "SO FEVER" PV was fabulously amazing. :love

Kuu looked so fierce & stunning throughout the entire PV! I absolutely loved her outfits, and I even liked those butterflies that were tattooed on her arms. Very nice! I love the whole butterfly theme. :heart The song itself is so good, I love it! :heart I've totally enjoyed watching the PV & listening to the song! It's all perfection. :love

most likely a false positive if you're using Avast, I've had my computer scanned 2 days ago and use avira + malwarebyte so I highly doubt any virus could ever enter my computer... I also scanned the files themselves with both software and couldn't find a thing. I did some research regardless and they all say it's a false positive so it should be safe :)

salina 1st September 2014 06:12 PM

thanks for sharing all new videos:yes

sora-kara 1st September 2014 06:55 PM

thanks for all the sharing!

Legend Live is a great release, but I see why they kept these songs for this instead of releasing them as a single after Bon Voyage.
In that recent interview, Kuu had said that with Bon Voyage she basically wanted to do different things with her music, and say 'Bon Voyage' to the sounds she's given us before.
While Legend Live has some great material, each track can fall into a rather typical song type from Kuu. They're great, but they're not as new or different in style as the HOTEL single was. It's nice to see her sticking to her word and keeping up with new stylistic offerings, even after the Bon Voyage project was Kuumplete. :)

Really? Hotel single didn't offer anything new. The title song is like 20 other kuu midtempos, Money in my bag (cool song but sadly too short) is in the vein of Bling Bling Bling and the third song is the typical ballad. I'm not saying that this single is bad or anything but it's not anything new.
On the other hand, SO FEVER is amazing. Indeed similar to some other sexy songs but I don't know, it has a different vibe.

maze 1st September 2014 10:41 PM

to me both are really great, the hotel single is fabulous as a whole, the interludes are amazing this time. I'm enjoying both releases equally. what would my life be without her music :weep

Gustavopc 2nd September 2014 12:50 AM

I barely complain of Kuu videos but omg NEVER GIVE IT UP was the worst thing she did in ages, I'm SO glad it's not an actual release :roflmao

otoh Kimi Omoi is a nice PV, low-budget but still nicely done, I loved the Paris setting. And of course SO FEVER is amazing as hell, both song and PV. I hope it gets a live perfomance, maybe next year? She should do an arabic-bloc in a tour and perform it with Get It On, Candy and so on

Zeke. 2nd September 2014 01:02 AM

I don't find the new songs special. The overall aura and environment of SO FEVER is fantastic, but the song itself is rather dull. I dislike how during the chorus the melody repeats the same notes over and over - I wished for a slight variation in the pattern. The ballad is the definition of boring, and that other song was nothing special either.

kaled kalil 2nd September 2014 02:46 AM

@Gustavopc I know, right? It seems more like a leftover TRICK track/music video... If it was for Bon Voyage it would be SO out of place.

What I like about Kimi Omoi is that she doesn't repeat the name of the song over and over again (like TURN AROUND; Suki de; Aitakute; Koishikute; Ai wo Tomenaide; Anata Dake Ga; and the list goes by haha).

And about HOTEL's "freshness", Kuu doesn't have a song like that; midtempo, yes she does, but a midtempo that is half talking and half singing, not at all.
Btw I just can't see MONEY IN MY BAG being a Bling Bling Bling ~to the future~ as people are saying, it's a dance track and not trying-to-be-hip-hop-but-even-Kuu-knows-that-the-song-doesn't-have-a-defined-style-so-she-sings-a-rockish-version.

She'll be at the a-nation next week, I hope we get a good setlist, I can't deal with the festival setlist that she's doing lately (BE MY BABY / Bling Bling Bling / UNIVERSE).

The new ballad is like the worst thing ever omg. So Fever on the other hand gives me life.

ayu_ready? 2nd September 2014 09:43 AM

I really didn't like HOTEL single as much, the new Fever single wins over it for me :)

freedreamer 2nd September 2014 01:48 PM

Kuu is hilarious in NEVER GIVE IT UP's PV HAHAHHA!! her expression at the end was priceless!

Gustavopc 2nd September 2014 08:54 PM

@KKalil I hope she includes MONEY IN MY BAG in the setlist. I think it'll be like

BE MY BABY
MONEY IN MY BAG
Ai no uta
LALALALALA
Cutie Honey
HOTEL

It's not what I want, but what I think is more likely :P

I just wanted to know, Koda Gumi does not have a space to comment things, does it? Cause I was wondering if you guys saw the last August Koda Gumi staff report? :banana1 :banana1 That got me feeling ansious already.

Sadly the music videos aren't really good, they are OK

~kashifaita~ 3rd September 2014 04:27 AM

I actually wouldn't have minded it if she added SO FEVER to the Hotel single
I think it would've been a nice 4A side

Beauty4123 3rd September 2014 04:33 AM

I absolutely loved each moment of the "Kimi Omoi" PV! It was so beautiful. :heart

Kuu looked gorgeous in the PV, from start to finish! :heart The song itself is such a lovely ballad & I positively love it. :) :heart

I agree. her PVs have run out of good quality after JAPONESQUE I think

~StarCatcher~ 3rd September 2014 09:59 AM

I think the LEGEND FEVER LIVE ones are very good in quality.

The HOTEL one is okay.
And in the MONEY IN MY BAG PV the only good thing is the choreography imo :D

same here.

I'm a sucker for rock tracks so i'm biased on that one. But still yeah none of them is anything spectacular. *shrugs*

for me HOTEL is more on the "different" side than SO FEVER or Kimi Omoi. They sound like typical koda stuff to me. I actually have it in the playlist with Bon Voyage and it blends in nicelly for me together with MONEY IN MY BAG.

Also i think i became a fan xD

Tom Punks 3rd September 2014 03:51 PM

SO FEVER, kimi omoi, NEVER GIVE IT UP etc. are the usual clichés she'd have put out 10 years ago. I can definitely see why they didn't release them traditionally. Not to mention they're all demo quality at best. HOTEL is pretty middle-of-the-road for me, but aside from the ballad they at the very least aren't total clones of songs she's released before lol

BlackSilence 3rd September 2014 03:56 PM

Also i really am not "buying" all the sexy crap she does, it simply does nothing for me, i think one of the reasons i enjoyed Bon Voyage was that it wasn't anything of the sexy side but more like "cool" "quirky". I think it suits her. There's way too much sexy these days anyways lol

happiholic★ 3rd September 2014 05:37 PM

I think the quality of the Legend Live songs/videos suited what they were being used for. And I think So Fever was really good. I love Kuu's brand of sexy. I used to think it was gross and trying too hard, like every other Western act. Until I realized that she's actually quite unique in Japan, as her kind of sexy isn't really seen as sexy. She doesn't fit that lolicon look Japan has a hard on for. Rebel Kuu!

Gustavopc 3rd September 2014 06:12 PM

I also think there is a "demo-ish" sound on the LEGEND LIVE songs, like even tho I adore SO FEVER I also think it misses a bit of a bass or something more on the instrumental, it sounds pretty bland when she's not singing or moaning during some parts.

Also talking on LEGEND LIVE, do you guys know if there was a photobook alongside the promo CD+DVD they distributed during that event? Her shoots for the Pachinko machines are always amazing, but I've seen just two or three different pics of this edition and just one (which is in the first post of thread) in HQ...

Corvina 3rd September 2014 09:23 PM

No, there isn`t a photobook, just a big flyer.
Guess the exclusive songs and all those goodies (scarf, wine) were expensive enough. ;)

I don`t think, Kimi Omoi and NEVER GIVE IT UP sound like demos.
I actually think both are really well produced. I agree with SO FEVER though.
It`s nice to listen to, but there is something missing. Could be so much more addicting.

Oh my, I just love NEVER GIVE IT UP so much, song and PV! <3

Minttulatte 3rd September 2014 09:34 PM

I still find all three new PVs awesome. I got nothing bad to say about those. :p

I KNOW RIGHT!?! I just cant stop listening(and watch) to this flawlessness

rough translation thanks to mishidabo:

Spoiler:
I THINK OF YOU (Kimi omoi)

I get uneasy when morning comes
So i hold on tight to you
When the moon shines through the curtains
Just a Little bit more
I hold on to this wish

They say the word“forever”
Usually never come trues
But if Im with you
I can see the real eternity

This feeling gives me strength
So today when i miss you
I reach my hand to this bright future
And close my eyes again

When i'm under the night's spell
My love for you grows stronger
when you can say your true feelings
You understand the true meaning of love

Just to see you smile
Makes me this happy
thats the gift of the miracle of meeting you
Because i believe our encounter
Has a precious meaning to it.

This feeling gives me strength
So today when i love you
I reach my hand to this bright future
And i can grasp this grand happiness

And in our future
Of you and me close together
Rather than loneliness
There’s a rainbow full of joy

This feeling gives me strength
So today when i miss you
I reach my hand to this bright future
And close my eyes again

This feeling gives me strength
So today when i love you
I reach my hand to this bright future
And i can grasp this grand happiness

Btw I just can't see MONEY IN MY BAG being a Bling Bling Bling ~to the future~ as people are saying, it's a dance track and not trying-to-be-hip-hop-but-even-Kuu-knows-that-the-song-doesn't-have-a-defined-style-so-she-sings-a-rockish-version.

*high five*

I agree with the 'money is my bling' thing people are pulling together. Totally get where they're coming from with the comparison, but it doesn't really stand up all that well at the same time.

Honestly, I feel like the second that an artist who dabbles in many genres, such as Kuu, "recycles" a genre they all get compared and accused of being the "same old". Despite that there are many artists who only make one genre of music.

Lol, what kind of genre would you even classify Bling Bling Bling and MONEY IN MY BAG as. For me, it's classified as?

MONEY IN MY BAG - Patty-cake trash can
Bling Bling Bling - ghetto-style clown music

Thank God for the DH remix of Bling though - that version is WICKED!

Minttulatte 4th September 2014 10:20 PM

How about just calling them urban pop if you want to classify those songs? I just call them that and that's all. :p

kaled kalil 4th September 2014 10:29 PM

MONEY IN MY BAG is kinda of urban electro-pop and Blingx3 is hip-pop imo.

I'm waiting for Kuu doing a song that is 100% electro-pop, like Namie's Ballerina.

Zeke. 4th September 2014 10:44 PM

But urban pop would be ima sugo hoshii, amai wana, candy, get it on, black cherry, etc.

Bling and MONEY are too obscure and horrible to just be classified as such.

Ballerina is a genre called "Complextro". Electropop is like Kyaripamyupamyu, capsule, and Perfume.

I don't view ima sugo hoshii as urban pop, but the rest I do.

(She needs more songs like this)

Since I don't think Hotel was ever shared here in 320kbps, I uploaded it to my SoundCloud to for those of you still waiting!

Why doesn't she attend A-nation2014 at Japan this year, by the way, merchandises at Taiwan so simply....

Gustavopc 6th September 2014 05:25 PM

Probably cause she was touring from March till July in Japan and in August held her Taiwan finale, she probably wanted some time for herself and her family.

The HOTEL t-shirt is so plain, boring and just bad. I wouldn't wear it even if I got if for free. Ayu's long beach t-shirt looks super original compared to it at least her face is on it.

Don't worry, you're not the only one who hasn't watched it. I still haven't watched her performance from last year's a-nation either though I downloaded it. I also have Premium Night and JAPONESQUE TOUR which I still haven't watched. I need to schedule myself a Kuu concert marathon. :D

owlflight 9th September 2014 01:30 PM

I finally listened to Bon Voyage and I actually liked it. I have been a casual fan/listener for a while as I am still not a big fan of her singing voice (though her low notes are awesome). This album makes me think of being on my boat so I will have to play this the next time I am cruising around the waterways.

Ever since I first learned about Kuu, I have liked her photoshoots/visuals (when they are not so super sexualized) but I have had problems with her voice. I feel that when she sings higher, her voice gets shaky and almost squeaky when she forces a note. Her lower range singing has always impressed me. Part of my issue could be the genre she generally sings in which I feel is more hip-hop/R&B than straight up pop or rock (which she does great on!). Granted this is my opinion as I slowly listen through her entire discography. I will say that no one does attitude and approachable confidence better than her.

emi♡ 9th September 2014 01:39 PM

don't really care for the new songs so much, so haven't been fangirling out lol

but I like the image and stuff, and once again, I like her weird mix of sounds. I know she'll eventually figure out a good mix, so. meh.

I think there are times when Kuu tries to force a voice that is cuter than hers really is, something more "J-Pop", when her voice just isn't. Like, Rain compared to Ai no Uta.

Still need to finish watching that - I'll save it for next month!

orangeakira 9th September 2014 11:29 PM

I love Lets party volume 2. What an amazing concert. She never does Halloween themed stuff. I want a studio version of Lay down. The little additions they added like the guitar riff during the pre-chorus were such nice changes, and I liked the church bell chiming in the background, and the sounds of bats flying, and I believe I can also slightly here an eery wind. I ripped the song and labeled it "Lay Down (Live Halloween Version)" on my computer.

Gustavopc 10th September 2014 12:13 AM

And those who live on the other side of the globe and got into Koda Gumi on the first weekend get nothing? Humpf :grumpy

I wonder if she's preparing a new single already, it'd a good timing for my wallet to have Bon Voyage Tour and a single coming out in early November

happiholic★ 10th September 2014 04:06 AM

^And even if it was released world wide, you'd still have to pay for middle man charges :(

Whatever, at least I can get FC editions without group buying.

Kuu's fanclub uses Tenso, a middle man service, to supply international FC members with their physical stuff, like CDs and goods.

Gustavopc 10th September 2014 05:41 PM

Talking on tenso, does anyone knows if sends our packages as if they were a natural person or a legal person? I heard they only ship things through EMS and with this kind of shipping from a legal person you almost always have to pay a importing fee here in Brazil...

Could you possibly share this version of Lay Down? I've been looking everywhere for audio mp3 of the concert and can't find it. I LOVE Lay Down

Hm, I have used them once, but I'm useless because I don't remember if it was EMS (although, I thiiiiiiink it was?) and I don't remember if I had to pay an import tax (I don't thiiiiiink so?). However, I live in Canada, so I'm even less help :P

Oh yeah... That tenso service... Have to use that to get Japanese goods that would otherwise cannot be directly delivered internationally, such as fanclub and Amazon Japan Marketplace orders!

I have to use that for Room Ayaka as well as a few Yanawaraba CDs that are out of print... To be honest, it's freakingly expensive to use!!!

sora-kara 11th September 2014 07:17 PM

^aaaah, Yanawaraba!!!
There's someone else who knows them! hahaha! yeeaah! *fist bump*

*ahem*

It's an interesting concept that maybe I'll be able to purchase a fanclub edition of her next album directly. Although, im pretty poor these days, and i've been getting all hong kong/overseas versions of albums since Black Cherry...
Still, I like the option of buying it solo, directly, and officially as part of the club. :D

Did you have to scan/take a picture of your id to order from tenso? I've seen this requirement on their site and thought it was a little extreme lol
