TeamAyu2004 11th November 2014 06:39 PM

I really want a copy of this! :(

chocopockymaster 11th November 2014 08:53 PM

My two copies were just delivered to Tenso! I can't wait to have them in my hot little hands *__*

Gustavopc 11th November 2014 09:21 PM

^ Mine too! Do you know how much time does it take for Tenso to send it to us?

chocopockymaster 11th November 2014 09:27 PM

I've actually never ordered from Tenso before--this will be my first time! Normally I just have friends mail stuff over for me but I wanted to order the singles as soon as they were up for preorder, so I bit the bullet and made a Tenso account. I know a bunch of users here have dealt with them in the past, so maybe they can shed some light on that :)

Gustavopc 11th November 2014 11:39 PM

I see... It's my first time also (which is kinda obvious hahaha) and I always feel a bit worried about international shipping to Brazil cause things here are a mess...

happiholic★ 12th November 2014 01:12 AM

Still jamming to the new song so hard.

owlflight 12th November 2014 01:50 AM

Haven't listened to the song yet but that cover is amazing! Even though she is not looking at the camera, you can see power and emotion in her posture and styling.

ayu_ready? 12th November 2014 12:47 PM

hope we get at least one more single before the new album

Kuu`s Modelpress interview in English:

Part 2

She`s saying some very interesting things.
E.g. the additional dancers for her 15th Anniversary are for the tour next year, not a single big concert!
There`s also more about the concept of Dance In The Rain.

Gustavopc 14th November 2014 04:52 PM

Very interesting interview, it's getting me even more ansious for 2015!

The dancers will be with her until December of 2015. I hope she does an arena tour + a Tokyo Dome concert like 2010!

i admit i sometimes get bored with setlist. Why doesn't she perform new single to promote such as Hotel or Dance in The Rain?

Corvina 15th November 2014 10:31 AM

I`m also surprised, that she didn`t sing any ballads. She really is holding ballads to a minimun since her maternity pause in general...

A setlist, heavily consisting of japanese fan favourite upbeat songs. Oh well, great songs, but boring setlist as she perfomed most of them often already.

LiDaYu 15th November 2014 10:56 AM

I hope we'll have in an album DVD bonus...

kaled kalil 15th November 2014 01:06 PM

Not even one Xmas song, and all those songs she performed so many times. The outfit wasn't even a little christmasy. Couldn't care less about footage.

Gustavopc 15th November 2014 01:43 PM

Bring it on again? Gosh, just release that song already lol

pheonixflame15 15th November 2014 02:26 PM

God enough with the Poppin love cocktail already...

Gustavopc 15th November 2014 03:28 PM

^ That's the song that made her meet Kenji, I kinda get why she still performs it :laugh

thinkingoutloud89 16th November 2014 04:44 PM

I still don't get this live. I mean I really like the setlist (people always wanted a upbeat setlist so here you are)
but why is it a x-mas live in the midst of november with nothing releated to x-mas? why not just call it special live or so?

chocopockymaster 16th November 2014 05:30 PM

mte. I was actually really looking forward to something like a Christmas Live with ballads and fur-trimmed gowns and lights and stuff...not this.
?__?

maze 16th November 2014 06:02 PM

that is... surprising? XD ay kumi.....

probably some bonus for the next album

maze 16th November 2014 07:52 PM

the outfits and hair are colorful though, I love them

chocopockymaster 16th November 2014 07:54 PM

Ugh. I hate them. It feels like a rehash of her tour outfits, and those pants look like they came straight from Cover the Colour or whatthefuckever.

Zahara 16th November 2014 09:07 PM

It's so 80's

mi|kshake 16th November 2014 10:19 PM

happiholic★ 16th November 2014 11:59 PM

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Live, more like.

Minttulatte 17th November 2014 01:33 PM

I love the setlist but damn, she needs to give BRING IT ON to us already. ;___;

orangeakira 17th November 2014 02:34 PM

I'm just glad she's not singing cutie honey. give that song a break. @__@

kaled kalil 17th November 2014 07:46 PM

She's really giving Cutie Honey a break, she didn't even sang during Bon Voyage Tour! Even tho I love the song, let's give the song a little time for us to miss it.

sora-kara 17th November 2014 07:58 PM

^that'll be a while yet. I don't miss Hot Stuff yet.
She has such a huge catalogue of hits though, that she could do well to rotate them a but more frequently.

Corvina 17th November 2014 09:03 PM

Ah, sora-kara, did you buy the solid perfumes in the end?
How do you like them?
I have to say, I still like Love Charm, my first, the most.^^
I had high expectations for Nude Note, but it was way to flowery for me (and the description they gave).

The story of ayumi hamasaki.

Gustavopc 17th November 2014 11:17 PM

I'm pretty sure Cutie Honey is coming back to the 15th Anniv. lives :laugh and iirc she sang it during the encore on some dates wasn't it? She kept changing one song, I guess it was whether Cutie Honey, LALALALALALALALALALA or Poppin love cocktail

maze 17th November 2014 11:37 PM

Cutie Honey is amazing ;_; my favorite performance is the one from Music Station Super Live 2011, her hair was the best!

I haven't ordered them yet. :( With the extra fees to get them shipping here, I haven't quite had enough extra coin to get them. Partially because I can't decide and I want to get all of them at once. hahaha
I was just looking at them earlier today though! Some of them are sold out frequently as well, so it looks like I'd have to get full bottles of at least two of them just to try them.
Should've grabbed the rollerball set when it first came out...:/

ayu_ready? 18th November 2014 09:36 AM

so far the outfits and setlist do not looks so classic X-masy to me, but maybe it is meant to be a fun x-mas after all :)

kaled kalil 18th November 2014 04:29 PM

Hot Stuff is usually so good for lives, specially when she split the public in two, it seems to be so much fun. haha
Lately she's been singing a lot of old tracks on tour (Candy, Saigo no Ame, one, Rock Your Body, Rain, even JUICY she performed during JAPONESQUE Tour), the problem is the festival setlist... It's always the same:

UNIVERSE / POP DIVA / Cutie Honey / Ai no Uta / LALALALALA or Poppin' love cocktail, or both of them / Dreaming Now

It gets more boring each time, and I used to love when she did those performances. Even her a-nation performances are getting boring.

orangeakira 18th November 2014 05:17 PM

Cutie Honey, Ai no uta, and walk are to Koda kumi what boys & girls, evolution, and surreal are to ayumi hamasaki. lol

Totally agree. Her festival performances seems like the same ones for me since she released BE MY BABY

Dance in the Rain is everything to me right now. <3

I watched Fergie's new video, aside from the end where they show a list of cameos I didn't see Kumi anywhere else but that section. Was Kuu in any other part of the music video?

Have we still not gotten a rip of the dance in the rain physical cd single? You know, the song and the instrumental? I want a good version of the song and not some pv rip.

happiholic★ 20th November 2014 02:46 AM

That song gives me life, also.

Minttulatte 20th November 2014 01:58 PM

Don't be too happy with Cutie Honey being away from the setlists! Knowing Kuu, it will probably appear on next year's tour again! :D

I don't mind her keeping BE MY BABY as one of those concert staple songs. I think it's a great song to be on her setlist. :D But it's true that it would also be nice if she sung different songs more often, and bring some of her old hit songs back on the setlists. I would rather watch her perform BUT than Poppin' love cocktail tbh. :/

Me too. And I'll be waiting my whole life to watch her perform "anata ga shite kureta koto". One of my favorite songs on kingdom and I don't believe she's ever performed it.

tokyoxjapanxfan 20th November 2014 07:32 PM

^ also one of my faves!

Gustavopc 20th November 2014 07:39 PM

If she's going to perform Anata ga shite kureta koto it better be on a small venue thing like her Billboard Lives otherwise it's gonna be hella boring. And I like the song, yes, there's no song in Kingdom I do not like.

But BUT was absolutely overperformed back in 2008 as well.
It`s (sadly) the usual pattern for casual listener events like festivals, TV and so on.

I want her to perform more of her first three albums.
Or Aishou. Or another one from Unmei, although it had quite a few when it was released.
I`m looking forward to the FC live as there probably will be some seldom songs.

thinkingoutloud89 21st November 2014 01:50 PM

would be there for Anata ga shite kureta koto or aishou,
or ashita e... would also be nice
feel me, trust your love, best friend of mine, cant't lose, one night romance, one or 24 for old school kumi

kaled kalil 21st November 2014 02:19 PM

I wish she went back to perform TABOO, I can't even remember the last time she sang the full song.

Okay, everyone can now forget my comment about BUT. I want this song to be performed asap. It's such a awesome song that needs a live performance. I wonder why she doesn't sing it. Is it because it's not popular or...? O.o

chocopockymaster 21st November 2014 06:18 PM

With all the speculation surrounding the upcoming Hikki tribute album...I would give almost anything to hear Kuu cover "Dareka no negai ga kanau koro".

Which is something I never knew I wanted until it happened in a dream I had last night, lmao

KLJames 21st November 2014 07:28 PM

BUT (get FREAKY mix) @ PREMIUM LIMITED LIVE / Rhythm Nation 2007 = flawless

too bad she didn't did the full song in FANTASIA, i love that look ...

happiholic★ 22nd November 2014 12:11 AM

I always wonder why she always chooses the same songs for her sets. Its like she always chooses her newest songs, but that's because she is promoting or on tour, so that's fine. But, why does she have to fill the rest of the set list with Cutie Honey, Ai no Uta, Butterfly, etc.? Like, I get that if its your first time at a Koda Kumi concert you wanna experience the classics, but like, I only need one of them. And me, personally, I don't care if I see the classics live, I would much prefer Gentle Words or Hana. Really, Feel My Mind needs a tour. As someone said, those first three albums need some love. Save for Walk. Although, I don't miss its place as the concert finisher.

I never wanted Kuu to cover a song from Hikki as well, but now that you said I can't stop imagining how amazing this would be, Gosh!

that song would be excellent for kuu's vocals! sadly utada didnt choose kumi for her tribute album, maybe because kuu has better vocals...

sora-kara 22nd November 2014 05:49 PM

mmmmm, if they dropped the key down a bit and really let kuuchie play in her lower register with it too, that would be gorgeous!

Hilarious

Anyway.

I would definitely love if kumi sang dareka no. Imagining it reminds me of "Candle Light" which is an amazing song.

chocopockymaster 22nd November 2014 09:06 PM

Maybe we can petition her to do it for Color The Cover Volume 2......oh ho ho

Gustavopc 22nd November 2014 09:14 PM

Another cover album for her 15th anniv. would be great, also another collab with Mika Ninagawa (photoshoot-wise, Pink Spider video was beautiful but a bit meh tbh... maybe if it wasn't a mix of PV and trailer for the short movie, but either way Mika can pull out some awesome sets for her shoots)

edit I just imagined Kuu covering Namie's Body Feels EXIT and... I NEED THIS TO HAPPEN

I'm happy she isn't covering Utada. An artist of Kuu's status has no reason to tribute Utada and I would never want her to.

Anyway I'm so looking forward to December 6th! I have a feeling she'll at least announce tour dates and maybe an album on that day.

kaled kalil 23rd November 2014 12:55 AM

Well, Utada likes Kuu, she even draw a Kuma based on Kumi's FREAKY cover.

To be honest, it would feel awkward to me having Kumi covering Hikki, when Hikki released ULTRA BLUE she was already one of the biggest singers of Japan, and Kumi was releasing second session, so there's a huge difference of status and importance.

And I feel like Hikki is an "artist" in a very complete way, and Kumi has been going to the "entertainer" path even more these last years,, they don't match.

Gustavopc 23rd November 2014 02:32 AM

^ maze only was talking about vocals tho, calm down

Like, we didn't have a messs between ayu x Hikki which I'm GLAD, I don't hope we'll get a Kuu x Hikki when Kuu is not even really making a cover

I don't understand what your trying to say here? The rest of the people on Utada's tribute album besides Ayu are all below Kuu like Miliyah Kato and AI so I don't see the point your trying to make here. And Second Session sold double of Ultra Blue.

I'm pretty calm here. I'm not talking about fame, money, or diva status, I was just saying that everybody on Hikki's album have the same level of input on their solo works, something I don't see coming from Kumi.

Bon Voyage was just a bunch of demos she bought and released, not a long time after Color the Cover and JAPONESQUE. I just feel like she has been releasing songs non-stop and not really putting herself into it. She's completing 15 years on the industry and her music has not evolved.

Ayumi has changed, Hikki has changed, ohashi trio has sort of changed, all of them are in different places comparing to where they started.

And Second Session was released when Kumi's popularity was in it's top and it was also a BEST. You can't compare a BEST to a regular album.

That's why they don't match, because, in my opinion, Kumi releases songs so that she can present new things live, and Hikki releases new things when she feels she's ready to do it.

Whaaaat. Please post this!

Ahtka, I get it, but you are mentioning Ultra Blue and comparing it to Kuu's effort. Here's the thing, Kuu was just hitting her peak, as you yourself have said. It's an unfare comparison.

I would love for kuu to cover an Utada song.

happiholic★ 23rd November 2014 04:43 AM

Personally, I've always found Utadas vocals really weird. I've never been into them. One of the reasons I love Kuu is her voice. Its really just an opinion. I don't see how Kuu is less of an artist. Yes, she's flashy, but so is Ayu. Kuu produces her own albums, writes most of her own lyrics. She's composed. Tried different genres, release patterns, concerts. In don't dislike Utada, but I've never understood the hype.

Wondering if that rumour about an album on 1/1 is true, I'm feeling I'm getting excited hell yeah! And I'm happy they're using her FB page, I hope it's not a one time thing! ayu has started using it more, and I hope Kuu also will :)

PS: Was she doing a photoshooting on Sunday? Really gurl? :laugh

Agree. I'm fact I really like hikki but I don't understand all the hype...a tribute album is usually done to dead/retired artist, isn't it? I find it kind of weird that an artist like Ayu is participating on the album...
But this is Kuu thread so I stop talking about utada. I wonder what the potoshoot is for, I would be so glad if an album is coming 1/1 :luv2

Toniayu123 23rd November 2014 01:00 PM

Sorry for double post.
To commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the release of kuu's perfumes. Special boxes had been made which includes the perfume, a roll on, a cream and Kuu's autograph. -Edit: I think it isn't original autograh-! The boxes can be bought here using Tenso:
