The only thing that bothers me about this album release is that the songs from the singles are not included. Well, I can live without Brighter Day, but I really wanted TSUKI and Neonlight Lipstick on the album :(

^ I feel the complete opposite of you, lol. Neonlight Lipstick will be ~18 months old by the time _genic comes out, and I just...don't need it on there. I don't need TSUKI after it already made an appearance on Ballada either.

I may actually buy Brighter Day tho.

You can edit songs in iTunes to put songs that aren't in an album.

I'm kind of glad there aren't singles on the album, somehow. It'll sound a lot more fresh and exciting that way. And yeah, I never understood "editing" albums in your music player. That's listening to a playlist, not an album. It just happens that a lot of great single material is not included in the album. It's not the first or last time that happens.

Namie doesn't reuse songs she's realised before on her albums. Sure she's done it, but not often at all. :yes. causing the loss of many gems like beautiful....

I kinda love the fact that she had many gems lying around and not everything is included in the album, it made her discography rich in quantity lol and I like that

Yeah there's not much to complain about tbh, we're getting 13 new tracks instead of.. What? 7 or 8 had previous singles been included? It's a win-win situation, since we have a lot more Namie goodness to go over.

She says that the songs doesnt fit with the new album, which you can translate as "I dont give a f... if TSUKI and Brighter Day were hits, I will not included the last singles because I can do wathever I want"

^and thats the good thing about it. She has the balls to do that, and even if she doesn't write her own lyrics, it shows she has a sense for an artistic whole.

I always put all leftover songs from and era at the end of an album, because I have like 40000 songs in my itunes and it just gets messy with so many stand alone tracks lying around.

Im really likeing the direction she is taking her music. I mean ever since Uncontrolled I have been in love with the woman and this makes me happy. :D

They check the available limit of your credit card right at the moment of the pre order but they won't charge it until it's shipped iirc

When FEEL was released the limited edition was there even after its release. I remember I was the one who grabbed the last limited CD only edition (but maybe they restocked later or just lied about the number, I don't know, never checked later).

No English version of her previous singles.

It sounded mostly like before 2010's music or sth contemporary with an old twist.
I love most of the previews and excited for the songs that I love would get PVs

I think the second half of the album sounds better than the first. As for the songs, I'm not sure if I love/like it or don't to be honest. I love how she's trying out new things but this just feels too.... I don't know.

B Who I Want 2 B sounds like it's going to be amazing. Reminds me a bit of SOPHIE. And finally a ballad by Namie that I'll actually enjoy. I've never been a big fan of her ballads but Anything sounds really nice... cheesy but nice. Birthday sounds exactly how I expected it to be lol

I'm really interested in Space Invader the most. I already overplayed Emeli Sande's version of What I Did For Love so Namie's version is whatever :\ Overall though, it's a Namie album by the numbers and I'm okay with that haha

I really hope B Who I Want 2 B is a full track.

omg I'm so excited loved everything I heard!! Some sounded different than I had imagined but I'm really looking forward to June 10th! I don't know if I'll like it more than FEEL, but I know I'll enjoy it for sure <3

The previews have potential but I just cannot stand all the Engrish this time around. These songs would sound so much less sloppy in Japanese.

Am i the only one who think it's a little bit "rude" to cover such a recent song? To me a cover is supposed to pay a tribute to the song, not just replace the vocals. If I was the original singer i'd think "Oh this bitch thought her vocals would fit better and include it in her album, ok"

There ain't only one song that i'd think "ha it sucks" when i listen to the preview, however they all sounded the same? I don't know, some did make an impression on me, but some sounded pretty forgettable, i'll see with the full album! Also meh @ all the english :(

I don't see a problem at all, it's like a Japanese version (or for Japan) of the song, since it's credited as David Guett feat. Namie, so it's not an actual cover...

Previews aren't bad. I actually like the arrangments and production a lot, but Namie's vocals are such a hit and miss for me. It's like, I feel like her voice doesn't reach me. She has no emotion and her voice sounds the same no matter what note she sings. And when she's belting it she sounds like a cat that's getting her tail pulled.

The English is way too much. I can't take her seriously cause she's like babbling and slurring the words together. Plus the subject matter is way to American garbage (raise your glass, etc.).

The previews sounds good, but I'm not impressed that much neither. I don't know, I've got this problem with Namie since P<F. I enjoy her music, but her albums bore me after few listenings.

Photogenic it's the most interesting track so far tho. But Anything sounds a lovely ballad. Usually Namie's ballads aren't my favorites.

So, eh, I think I'll wait for the leak to judge _genic properly.

As much I liked pretty much everything on feel (except the ballad :puke) at first listen this time I really don't feel this album ... maybe the production is good but there are no interesting melodies etc... Stranger sound quite addictive but it sound like a leftover of feel so nothing amazing ;)

Probably a disappointment after her last 3 albums !

Yeah, it's like they tried to make up for the lack of resonant melodies by going too hard on the noisy next-level try-hard electronica. So many of the "melodies" are just shouting/cheering and either Namie doesn't have the voice for it or the production doesn't pull it off.

Definitely getting 90's/RnB/Dance vibes from it.
I do think a few of you are judging a bit too much too early? Only so as most of them aren't even one/third of it's full length.
This album has identity, we just haven't been shown it's 'full personality' yet. ;)

Well I liked the previews of Photogenic, Golden Touch, and It. I had hope because of Golden Touch and Photogenic and I was really liking that sound. but the rest of them were just meh. Not bad. But I probably won't spend time listening to them if they don't change with the full versions. Fashionista and Stranger were okay though I think.

I only liked Stranger and the 2 before it and I'm 90% sure the rest will not grow on me, with the exception of birthday....lil bit disappointed but I'll probably still buy it just to really try it.

I'm really tired of her singing in english. I love Japanese language and I'd rather have my J-Pop faves singing in their language. She already did albums in english (or at least the majority was in english).

I prefer the singles than what i've heard from the new album. I will give it a listen when it's released but so far I'm disappointed.

Honestly though, some songs felt like a continuation of the other lol. So far the only memorable ones for me was Photogenic, Strange and Space Invader. I like to give previews a second chance though. Like, I wasn't the biggest fan of some of the A ONE and LOVE TRiCKY previews but those albums still gave me life by the end of the day lol

Loved the previews, my only concern believe it or not are the lyrics. It feels like she's saying the same words with different rhythms. Between Namie's repetitive lyrics and Ayu's recycled album. Kumi seems to be the only original diva this year.

I feel a really retro arrangement in term of the instrument and sound that they use on this album...She works with all out western producer for this album, right?
But a really enjoyable and easy listening album....

_genic going to be Namie's "Confession on the Dance Floor"? Both albums has the throwback sounding, but also modern. And from the preview, it sounds like from preview, each song leads into one another perfectly fine.

First half of the album before Fly is a total miss for me; but from Fly to the end, TURN THE FUCK UP HOLLA and shit, Anything is flawless. Interesting that she covered David Guetta's song, wonder how that's gonna turn out. And is the entire album in English? I didn't hear any Japanese.
