I'd say that definitely SbS helped making a bit of buzz for ayu, that's great! :) If they put up PV teasers this week I guess it could make it chart another week

52k is definitely possible, even close to 53 if it chart 4 weeks more, I believe it can chart until sixxxxxx is released, or at least 2 more weeks

omg only 24 copies away from 52k if it charts 5 or 6 more weeks (one can dream) it would outsell colours O___O Anyways I'm hoping for one more week so that 52k can be surpassed.

This album has some amazing life charting.
If we compare it with her previous 3 albums we have :
Party Queen - 22 weeks
LOVE again - 15 weeks
A ONE - 14 weeks
Colours - 9 weeks

I know that I will be hated by some folks here but I´m so happy A One sold more that Koda´s WOML, after all I´m happy and I bring this to this post because I´m an Ayu fan so... I remember when some people say Ayu will sell only 10 or 5 copies more than Koda´s album but the fact is WOML sold 47,785 and charted only 7 weeks versus Ayu 51,976 and charting 14 weeks.

Even that said, I´m also proud that they still making music,having fans and selling albums after their own troubles along the way in a country like Japan.

^ why does it always have to be a friggin' competition? It makes you look petty as hell.

Yeap, I got that numbers from there. I knew my post would be hated so...:D

My advice is to always check a release on its Oricon page, they don't show numbers there but the weeks counting is always up to date

someone updated it now haha not with the additional charting weeks and numbers but at least the total has been corrected

According to its Oricon official page A ONE charted another week (15th Week) :yes we'll know the numbers in a few hours! Unfortunetaly WALK OF MY LIFE didn't chart this week but both queens did amazing!

I'm actually excited about the number of weeks it can chart.

A friend of mine is in Japan and he bought a copy of A ONE for me, I feel happy having helped this album charting one more week hahahaha

I find it amazing that in a span of almost a year just around 1,200 people lost interest in getting a physical copy of her full origional album! Sales here were cohesive.

So happy for it! Despite the tour already ends. If only it counts overseas sales, the number will be slightly different :p

^ Now that you mentioned it, a question came to my mind... When we buy things from mu-mo via tenso they count for Oricon, don't they?

I'm just teasing. But imo, WOML barely deserved the sales it got and A ONE deserves much more...but that's opinion, and neither here nor there. I find it funny that albums that sell under 300 copies are still charting...lol

If you purchase anything via mu-mo , Oricon counts the sales in but not Soundscan

For me if I buy CDs via Musing , Oricon do not count them :x

Maybe it will chart for another week, we can't say anything anymore since we've been predicting the end of A ONE sales for 4-5 weeks and it's still surprising us.. :yes

Both WALK OF MY LIFE and A ONE were equally mundane for me (compared to their previous efforts). But WOML has a more unconventional sound while A ONE has a more popular/safe sound, so I think it makes sense why it's doing better. I'm glad both artists are relevant enough to have stayed on the chart for so long!

Exactly. Before we were all hoping it could get to 50k, and then it got there and just kept going... It could chart a little longer :)

this year tour longer than Premium showcase and covered more cities

According to Oricon's sales data:
Colours: 53,406
A ONE: 52,816

The difference is only 590 copies, but A ONE would have to be able to chart for another 2~3 weeks to outsell Colours.

Of course, well never know how many copies Colours actually sold after it fell out of Oricon's top 300 (as well as how many copies A ONE sold during the weeks it didn't chart), but officially speaking according to Oricon it's possible :)
