At first I wasn't excited because Step by step is awful, but Sayonara has me HYPED! And the CD only costs like, 14 bucks so I'ma 'bout to be all up on that.

Sky high title intrigues me. Sounds sth like ever free... I hope it will be refreshing, not just another filler track ala MY ALL... cause Shape of love sounds like an another ballad.

Lyrically the songs so far seem to be going like...
Step by step - "I can do what I want if I set my mind to it." Summer diary - "I fell in love this summer!" Sayonara - "I thought we had something, but I was an idiot. Whatever." Sorrows - "I've made mistakes. Can you forgive me?" Shape of Love - "I love you is such a powerful phrase. It can do anything." Sky high - ???? Some sort of uplifting MY ALL or Born To Be... type track maybe? I hope we get a preview of the lyrics on Twitter soon. |

Really glad to see the full track list today! So happy that there is a sixth track and its name also begins with 'S'!
And I finally relented and saw the clips of Summer diary and Sayonara. I like both songs, with a potential to really like them. Still despise Step by step, but the video clip makes it tolerable. As for the PVs, Sayonara looks interesting with many cool shots (hope to see more as the full version unfolds), while Summer diary... well, the song is lovely, but I've had enough of melodrama PVs. I hope Sorrows, Shape of Love, and Sky high are at least decent. |

for me, those 3 songs are the FIVE level 4 songs (progress, ANother song, Why, beloved) - just "meh" songs. I dont dislike them but I won't listen to them at all.

I think it's tour only. But I think they could have a Miccie CD and/or digital release soon. They did for his other 'singles'.

I like the Sayonara PV. Just hope there will be some great dancing after the cut (not from Ayu, but the guys, lol).
Definitely well done and refreshing for Ayu ( especially after Summar Diary, which is nicely done as well, but the same old same old from her). And the full song .... I had so high hopes after the preview. Have to say I do like it, but there isn't any progression, no built up. Like that it sadly drags a bit, cause it's so long. Would have been better to make it a bit shorter without any progression and real climax. And whoever said it misses a stronger beat is right as well - could be more visible throughout the song. But I still love the melody and it's a nice song overall! |

Do people really get bothered because a certain word was used in a previous title? Try being a Kumi fan then :laugh Just in one album she had Your only one, One, One night romance, To be one, 1000 no kotoba (a stretch but still contains the number lol), plus the album title grow into one :P
I'm more annoyed though when artists use the EXACT title... For example Leona Lewis has two songs on two different albums called I Got You haha |

^When Kuu's UNIVERSE was announced, "Comes Up" was actually titled "Believe". Problem is there is a ballad from secret with that name already, I guess she totally forgot about it :roflmao Wonder of the same thing happened to her while writing "flower" having already a song called "Hana"

Name similarities happen all the time in music. It's a bit annoying when it happens but it isn't nearly as bad as recycled melodies and lyrics. Which I've seen recently. No big deal:)

i don't really chime in on these discussions most of the time because i support ayu's releases either way. i just purchased A ONE and pre ordered sixxxxxx. i'm actually really excited for this mini album, which is nice because i wasn't really excited for A ONE except the covers. and to be honest it's not my favorite of her albums. i really only enjoy three or four songs on the album. so far the songs i have heard on sixxxxxx are really amazing.
Step by step - i like this song, its very summery and very catchy for me. not my favorite of the songs that have been released so far but i probably won't skip it on the album. as for the music video, she looked so pretty and i really loved it. it reminds me more of her older videos. Sayonara - i wasn't sure about this one when the short version music video came out. it was a nice upbeat song but i wasn't sure about the featured band. since the full version came out it is probably my favorite song on the album! i love it, i tried to transcribe the lyrics too, something i have not done since LOVE and again were released in 2012. she looks so pretty in the music video and it is a visually stunning video but it's not my favorite of her videos. Summer Diary - i love this song. probably my favorite of the ones released so far. she sounds amazing and i love the way it's arranged. she sounds great. i loved seeing shuya again in the music video (although he looks a little on the homeless side lol) it's a cute music video and i love the story and can't wait to see the full versions. the only thing i am sad about with these releases (going all the way back to colours) is the cd+bluray covers always seemed to be my least favorite covers but since i no longer have a region free DVD player i am pretty much forced to buy those ones so i can watch the PVS on my television. to me it always seems like the CD+DVD's are the best covers, although colours my favorite was CD+DVD/Itunes cover. but the covers don't matter so much as the songs do and i think sixxxxxx will be a really strong release for her. Especially after the flops (my personal opinion, i do not mean to offend anyone who loved these albums) that were Koda Kumi's WALK OF MY LIFE and Namie Amuro's _genic. as for the name similarities in the songs. ayu has been around for 17 years and has written probably close to 300 songs (im talking about released, there are probably more that have yet to see the light of day) so it's only natural that the songs may start to have similar titles. |

region coding between games in Canada and the US are the same to my knowledge. so i don't see why not. BLURAYS are supposedly region free.

The 'region' for Japanese Blu-rays is the same as North America, region A. But I don't know if music Blu-rays are ever coded to those region locks.

Why would you have to pay for something that you won? It's not much but I honestly don't understand. I once won tickets to a concert (only way to see it was to win a ticket) and it was completely for free, any drink you got was also free. I don't really understand why you would have to win the possibility to listen to the album but still have to pay for it.
Apart from that I think this is a nice idea and it's nice that something like that gets organized for TA members. |

I gotta agree that the CD+BR is the worst cover of the three. Who approved that?! I don't think ayu takes ugly pictures but this one is definitely...not very appealing? For me, anyway. I would have done at least ONE cover shot without the duck lips, or a different hairstyle, or something...

I'm a little more on board with the covers, but still wonder the same: Why this? That said, I think the style is fresh and I'm not exactly sure what I would envision as better covers in the same style.
I will say that the biggest misuse of photos I remember are the ones included in the FIVE booklet, with Ayu pinning back her short hair. The concept seems to be "raw/natural" for this shoot and I think it captures it well.
However, I'd like to see "crazy" Ayu on a cover one day. And not glam crazy. |

FIVE covers were very Madonna-ish. They were nice tho, eventhough I did not like her hair. But the pictures inside the booklet were absolutely winning.
But I think I'd prefer the more simple concept of sixxxxxx. Of course they are not the best, but I think it is not unappealing. A cover does not have to look so glitter and glamour to capture something brilliant. |
^As much as I agree with that, I don't get the "simple" aspect everybody seems to see in these covers. Making it black and white doesn't change anything to the fact that she has got such an attitude! These covers look way less natural and simple than 90% of her recent covers to me (Love again and stuff).

I don't know if someone already noticed this but since I never commented about sixxxxxx before, here some random personal comment about its concept:
- I like the list of title based on the 'S' as first letter. I suppose it stands for summer. - And I like how this 'S' thing seems to comprehend more then just the titles. Resume: We have a summer album with six songs (lol, just kidding) called sixxxxxx. The songs titles are Step by Step, Sayonara feat. SpeXial, Summer Diary (and in the PV appears Shuya), Shape of love, Sorrows, Sky High. - Moreover, since this album is based on this one letter concept and A ONE was kind of missing a letter... maybe that letter is S? This would confirm the theory of As One. |
