Arashi is the one with that popularity, they sold 820.000 copies with her latest album in the first week hahah A.B.C-Z is not that famous but they have a big fanbase. They debuted in 2012 so "they are growing".

That's great! I'm pretty surprised she sells more than Super Junior as they gained some modest popularity and ayu's dvd/bd sales became to like 10,000+-.

Well DVDs are still more popular in Japan in general.
I'm actually glad that ayu's show cancellation (even justified and for good reasons) doesn't make fans hate on her and buy less regarding the "divorce" thing also. I'm glad the japanese audience don't give it a thought, at least not when purchasing her stuff. |

Well she didn't really lose any #1 since oricon doesn't track DVD+Blu-rays sales in this system, but it divides them. Achivements and stuff are for DVD music/Blu-ray music charts positions.

^ Yep, that's correct, officially that's how much A ONE sold (in other words, according to Oricon's rankings).
But, of course, Oricon only tracks the numbers from when the album charts in the top 300, so we'll never know how much it truly sold after it stopped charting (just like any other release)... It's quite possible that it is very close to 55k by now, but "officially" it stopped at 52,816. |

by the way: i know this does not belong here BUUT i just saw oricon sales for the newcomers and kanas best albums sold each 25.000- is this just me or are those sales low? her last album sold 100k in first week and i truely believe that the best albums sell better. but its just the 1 day, i know, but i thinks it disappointing... |
Kana's best album is just a compilation of her B-side..not A-side..
so...25k for both is kinda high...and it just the sales for 1st day..which is very good... |

It's #14 now on the music DVD chart, but it's always higher on the first day of the week and then it drops... |
That's really good :) I hope she reaches 20k at least we know with blu-ray + international copies she could reach it.
