Do you guys think she's going to keep that "rock" version of GREEN as the opening act for the tour? I wouldn't mind that, as long the performance itself was a little more complex.
Quote:
tbh I still don't find GREEN a good concert opener, as much as I love that song. |
^ Yeah, now that you said that it's not a very powerful song to start a concert. I'd love something like I am... + GREEN, though :luv2
Quote:
I hope she will reuse GREEN again with a little difference in her outfit ( holding a fan and the more traditional hair style )
I do expect her to keep GREEN, I don't think she'd create a new arrangement just for the CDL. I don't mind though, I like it and I've always considered GREEN as a perfect opening song :laugh
I am expecting her to keep it as well.
Though I am HOPING that the setlist doesn't evolve in the same manner that Cirque did and has more surprises. |
I'd like her To keep Green but get rid of the awful dancers and the giant letters, far too cluttered! All she needs is a few female backing dancers in kimonos and maybe Sakura leaves on the screens and itd be perfect for me.
The ASFXX performance at MS should be tailored for something in MADE IN JAPAN.
Quote:
I like ASfXX, I liked the performance, but I am fine with not hearing it again for a bit. I'd be happy if she'd perform some different songs that don't get as much love. She'll probably cut them out in the end eventually and perform ASfXX anyway, like she did with (miss)understood. Such a shame... |
I mean the performance itself and not the song. So some new song or Will with the ASFXX-performance treatment.

I want Pray so much. I don't even know why I like this song so much, but I do. I'm dreaming about seeing it performed live

Wind machine Ayu please!
I think it's probably best said. She will do what she wants to do. People will always have things they don't like, but this is what she likes to do :)
Looks like there won't be extra show for this year tour?
Maybe we get some RnRC Tour like 7 days final, it also announced very late wasn´t it?
Just an FYI, I am VERY sure she hinted at a fall show in a TA blog entry.
"Four seasons" of the tour, with winter (CDL) -> spring (now) -> summer (pre-finale)... then fall will be...? |
Maybe she'll change the ballad medley part for each season haha
I'm just happy we're getting album themed tour. Like really album based (hope so at least). I know hotel love songs was party queen-like but it's always nice to have album included in such way.

I also prefer Green to be in original. This song is so rich instrumentally and grand that i hope it will go back to its initial form. I doubt that cause as last year's duty remained, i think same will happen with green.
Please get rid of the dancers and the letters. I swear to God, it's the worst performance of GREEN ever. compared to the glorious PCDL opening it's just ridiculous.
^ Yes I agree so much!
tomorrow is last day of golden week?
I can't wait to see goods~~~~ |
I would not mind at ALL if she cut GREEN from the set list, but it seems unlikely. I'd rather her open with I am... though.
^ As much as I love GREEN I also would like her to open with I am... CDL 09-10 still has my favorite opening with I am... and Moments after it.
I want her to sing Part of me so badly. |

How to buy Made in Japan tour ticket now?
I just figured out I can go to Tokyo in July and I can go to watch Ayu's concert.
But I don't know how to buy tickets now... as the pre-sale tickets are sold out and many Japanese tickets online trade won't mail tickets to overseas/hotel :( Anyone knows how can buy the tickets??? Thanks! |
^sent you a PM :D
Still nothing about goods :( well, let's wait for monday
Is this real??
https://scontent-mia1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...d2&oe=57B52085 |
I think so. It's very dissapointing. The pictures looks like it's taken from iPhone. Like "Hey help me take some pictures, Imma shoe my new shades"
I'd say yes since one of those pics was on the 18th anniversary cake!
If those are real they're so great! I think imma get them all haha |
So is the first image gonna be the cover for her new album? Hahaha
what is that first thing anyway? not a fan of those pop-art goods really :no
I think it's a photo book
^ or LP-size poster
or mirror so far they are nice. I like the bag but can't get the connection between this kind of images and "made in Japan" |
She looks like a gossip woman in these goods.
:P |
Love them, the pics on the pamphlet and T-shirts are great!
The first pic is the pamphlet (that's what is written in katakana), and what a beautiful cover! :heart Hopefully the album artwork will be similar to this
bgm: Endless sorrow :love |
omg, 2:50 (that acrobatic part when ayu holds the dancer from his neck). That seems so difficult!
From some of her lip movements, you can kinda maybe guess some songs if they aren't new tracks.

Since Ayu is doing a tissue dance, I'm assuming she ditched Marionette. I wish she kept it though.
Looks exciting and judging from the video it seems the traditional side seems more present ! The whole thing seems really intense I like it and i look forward to have more infos =)
It looks like it's gonna be a great show. It's Ayu, I never doubt it! XD
Quote:
I want to see the new acrobatics. It looks really good.
The last chapter was uploaded on TA: MADE IN JAPAN -Beginning of the end chapter-
I've never liked marionette so I actually hope it's gone xD
OMG! That is really scary! I don't want her to do such things without safe rope
Quote:
why embarassing?
Quote:
why did she cry? hmmm...
the aerial stunned is becoming more and more complex each year... It's always scared me if she did something so scary like that... please be safe Ayu |
Quote:
"Beginning of the end"...
I wonder if the tour is gonna have a really dark finale. |
"Beginning of the end" is like New Year
I can see how she chance chapters day by day and finish it at CDL "MADE IN JAPAN" |
Some of those acrobatics made my hands sweaty O___O I'm hoping for some unperformed songs (Specifically petal, return road, pray & letter) but I'm not really hoping for anything. I just hope the vocals will be better again. Cirque de minuit can't have been a fluke
by the way...there are tons of product placement on that video...and I think it's my first time seeing so many product placement on Ayu's video..
I find it more to be just rehearsal clothing which can tend to have big logos if it's not tour merch and not intentional product placement.
^
I'm very doubtful XD they make a lot of big close-up on the brands she wears (not that I care lol) ! |
During some songs taking pictures will be allowed at the concert.
The photos can then be postet on Twitter with the hashtag #ayumdij The photos will be gathered at AT2016 Special site: http://www.madeinjapan-ayu.jp/ Whole news: http://avex.jp/ayu/news/detail.php?id=1035652 |
If I understand it right, it's allowed during spring chapter - 3rd song from the opening
"Spring chapter" consists of 3 songs, so pictures from that opening set.
I wonder if we'll get a very long concert with how the chapters are broken up in her blog. |
oh I see. Seems it will be most beautiful chapter
Will encore be one of the chapters? |
Could be, but I am uncertain. It kinda sounds like we'll get do it again in the setlist at the end either in the encore or in the finale of the main show due to the "beginning of the end" chapter.
7 chapters with 2-3 songs each is around 14-21 songs (counting interludes, I suppose) which is about standard for her main shows and then 2-3 in encore lately unless there's a medley. |
Also, recording videos is still prohibited, only pictures are allowed. And you are only allowed to take pics from your smartphones.
then do it again perfect choice for final song =)

"★"ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2016 A(logo) 〜MADE IN JAPAN〜"
The First Attempt at Concert Photography!! ayumi hamasaki has announced the first attempt at concert photography for her upcoming tour "ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2016 A 〜MADE IN JAPAN〜" starting on May 14th!! You are allowed to take pictures of the first 3 songs by your mobile phones at all venues and this is her first attempt ever since she debuted! You are allowed to take pictures of the first 3 songs by your mobile phones without flash. Audio recording and video recording devices are strictly prohibited during the event." Wow, really surprised by this decision. They won't be able to check every person if he or she is taking pictures or recording videos. I hope we get to see the videos :-) international fans with TeamAyu seats will be able to take the best shots. |
I am so curious about the setlist!
I wonder what she considers to be spring and autumn songs. We never really got an official point of view regarding these. To be honest, I'm quite at shock right now. Last spring, I did a fictive setlist for Cdl 2015-2016 entitled PCDL 2015-2016 "Four Seasons" which contains 4 main sections for each season. I wanted so badly for this to come true, and it looks like it did. |

I hope the opening act is not the most visually appealing one tbh because it's going to be difficult to enjoy it while all you see is people's phones :D
I am so against recording/taking pictures during the shows. It's unbearable when people constantly hold their phones up. Distracting and stuff.
I think when people talk, laugh, scream and sing during lives is way more distracting and it's very common at Ayu shows.
It's just for first 3 songs and I'm sure staff will ask not to hold phones up high. Although I can see this being a problem for people who are not very tall. |
wow...that's really suprising..but it's a good marketing decision...
does anyone sell ticket for 7/18 show?
Quote:
Just went to see the christening of a cruise ship last weekend. There was a damn great light show and firework, but all I was seeing was peoples phones because those idiots had to record the whole fucking thing. I'm still pissed. |
Interesting! Videos are definitely going to be recorded lol

^ I thought japanese fans didn't sing along since once some japanese fans online bashed a foreigner for being loud at a concert haha
I think that since it's new for them, japanese fans won't be overly annoying while taking pictures, but it's true that it's nicer attending a concert without anyone recording. |
I think recording is fine, as long as it's not too long. It's normal to want a piece of video that only you have, to remember the concert by. Even recording one full song is fine as long as you don't hold the camera up in such a way that you're blocking the people behind you.
And to give some perspective from the OTHER SIDE: At my last Madonna concert (Rebel Heart tour) I was standing in front of some arrogant b!tch Brazilian who kept yelling "PUT YOUR PHONES DOWN" through every song and actually slapped people around him on the head if they were using their phones. Now THAT is much, much more distracting, rude and concert-ruining behavior than the actual recording. A poor girl in front of me was recording for 15 seconds when the guy slapped her. I saw she wanted to record a couple of times -- probably a little bit of her favorite songs -- but she looked scared and hesitant. So no, it's not just the recording that ruins the concerts. It's also the annoying "anti-recorders". By the way, he never engaged me, possibly because I was standing directly in front of him. I just kept having his arm reach out over my shoulder to slap other people. Edit: Another thing far more distracting than mobile phone use is people chatting with their friends during ballads, or people going ape-sh!t crazy during dance songs. I don't want an arm in my face every 5 seconds, thanks. It's not a rave, it's a concert. Give me some space. Having said that, I've never ever had a bad experience at any Ayu or other J-Pop concert. The people are very well organized, considerate, fun and engaging with the artist. Western-based concerts on the other hand...eesh. |
Quote:
I think Ayu's solution is perfect for this though, you still have a chance to have something to remind you that you were at the concert, but it's only for a small part of the show, so you won't ruin someone's experience by recording. |
Quote:
A lot of fans come with friends and they talk to each a lot during songs and laugh which is really annoying. There are always complaints on people with bad manners on Mixi, Japanese people, for reason. But I agree, in general Japanese fans behave better than western fans. |
I don't think it's ok to record a full song. If you have your phone up for a few seconds, fine. I also take a few pics. But recording a full song because it's your favourite is not ok. It also might be someone else's favourite song. Normally I can watch the performamce through the spaces between people's heads. But when people record there isn't any space left and the only things I see are heads, arms and some lights. Since quite some time now everyone seems to think it's ok to record as long as they just record one song. But guess what, mostly EVERYONE does that. It ruins everything for me. And a lot of people have the same favourites. Last time I went to a concert someone in front of me recorded during my favourite song and I wasn't able to see the stage anymore. I was so angry I cried. If I would have been tall enough I would have hit that person on the head too. But since I'm just a little woman I have to accept that people are just selfish and always finding excuses why it's acceptable to record and ruin the live experience for other people who aren't lucky to be tall enough.
Imagine the flood of Ayu's MIJ opening on Instagram. It's gonna such an amazing thing to view. Im glad she's finally taking Instagram seriously since Winter Diary LOL
I'm very curious to see how this concert pans out. I have high hopes... Wish I could go see it in person. :love
How can you even hear other people singing over top the live performances?? I guess maybe it depends how close you are to the stage.
Quote:
It's completely possible to record a full song without obstructing anyone's view. I've done it before and will do it again. It truly creates one special memorable video for the rest of your life. :) (I actually recorded Rule in full when I attended AT09..haha..managed to get the full song before staff approached me.) Of course, I always make sure to hold the phone sort of in front of my own face. If people hold it too high, that's another issue. In that case, even 30 seconds is quite annoying. Although, to be honest, it doesn't even bother me that much. I just enjoy the concert experience. Quote:
I think if a concert is truly good, then all these distractions don't matter. If a concert is just OK or so-so then you're more likely to pay attention to them. |
Quote:
Quote:
If you hold the phone in front of your own face, it's fine. But people tend not to do this. Most people hold the phone over their heads with their arms therefore on the left and right side of their heads. This way it's impossible for people who are tinier then most people like me, to see anything. Last time I counted seven people with phones over their heads in front of me. Thank you. I'm going to concerts since 11 years now and during the last 2 or 3 years it got really extreme regarding people and phones. Because I'm smaller than most people, especially men tend to hit me with their elbows anyhow on my head a few times during a concert. But now that everyone is recording the whole time people hit me more often when lifting their arms and on top of that I can't see anything. It would just be nice if people could show a little more consideration for people around them. Especially when your not seated in an arena or concert hall and when you're standing. Because when everyone is standing and you don't have a seat, you have to hold the phone over your head to record, otherwise your recording will show just heads. So when your not seated but standing it would be nice if people would stop recording so that everyone around them can enjoy the concert. And trying not to hit people on the head with their elbows would also be great. It hurts. |
