So, i dunno why this hasn't happened yet on here, but i think they deserve a thread too, despite the fact that as a group they aren't active for now. |
WOW! i didn't know JYJ didn't have a thread! YAY for their first thread, they deserve it! I can't wait until Jaejoong gets out of the military. I need more music from his solo in my life!

I love JYJ, I still love TVXQ too, but I have always had a bias for Jaejoong so I can't help but love his voice.

I actually was a little surprised myself. Looked for one a few times and everytime nothing would come up. had an idea to make one for a while now. Finally did! i have to say though, i spent a stupid amount of time on it lol
Oh yeah, how long has it been since Jae is out of the game, though? i lost the track of time.... And how long it's been for Yoochun? I love Jaejoong to death, but i also have a soft spot for Junsu. even though i only like a song or two from his stuff, his vocals are something. When i was making the tread i was actually a little surprisd at how little Yoochun is doing in terms of musical solo activities. That guy has a great voice too! I wonder why aren't they letting him use it more! BTW, i find it kind of ridiculous how Jaejoong is out and is still all over the military festivals and news websites because of them. It kind of doesn't even feel like he's not in the game. Not to mention the album. |
Jaejoong went in last March, He gets out in December of this year. So almost like a year and two months. I hate this! I was dreading this moment for such a long time, especially since he kept postponing it until he couldn't anymore. My baby just needs to come back! At least we are getting pictures of him, most of the time it's very quiet when they are in the military. AND THANK FUCKING GOD FOR NO.X at least I can hear his beautiful voice lol

if i remember correctly the hologram concert sold out in less than 10 minutes in japan. it's amazing how well he does (all of them really) for the fact that they don't get promotion.

That performance was out of this world! I don't think I would ever watch any from the Hologram tour though, mostly because he lipsyncs and he's just too good live to appreciate it properly.

yeah you can feel the energy in that performance like HELL. BTW actually, even though i knew he lipsynched i still really loved the Run Away performance. Like he did it so believably and with such emotion that i keep coming back to that video.

Yoochun enlisted I think a couple of months after Jaejoong, Junsu has yet to enlist (but he's the youngest so we should expect that soon), Yoochun himself has had a rather quiet enlistment period. I like TVXQ just as the duo, although I don't like their music as much as Jaejoong or JYJ. As for Xia's new album, I haven't listened to it yet, I don't really care much for his solo stuff. I usually like maybe on or two songs off an album and that's it.

TVXQ...i dunno i did enjoy a couple of songs but they never were my cup of tea, even when they were all 5. Junsu's vocals are what usually gets me. But yeah his stuff is way too dancey or hip-hop'y for me to actually like it. |
I like all types of music, but I can't listen to anything really ballad heavy. And that has been a problem with JYJ / Solo / TVXQ5, they have always been very ballad heavy. Jaejoong's last studio album only had like 2 or 3 ballads and I actually enjoyed them

^yeah they do have quite a bit of ballads in their own group releases. But i actually liked quite a few songs from Just Us album: Back Seat (steamy one lol), So so, Dear J (of course), CREATION, Letting Go. Wake Me Tonight is also quite nice.
From Junsu i only like Tarantallegra, Fever, Uncommited, Flower, License to love you, and Don't leave, Breath. Junsu especially is very ballady. BUt i am legit impressed with some of his arrangement and composing skills. I know he did Tarantallegra and Sunset except for lyrics. Breath is also his own composing and arrangement, he did the lyrics too. And i know he composed Flower as well. I mean there's no denying the guy has quite a bit of talent here. Jae's ballads usually get me, i only disslike really plain ones, with an exception of Run Away, i think that song is my favourite on the album. It just bothers me that i usually am not particulary fond of his own composed songs. I dunno why but they almost never click with me. I only really like a few. |

well they have had trouble being as active as TVXQ, due to the backlash of SM they cannot perform on some Korean TV Shows. They have been much more active of late, maybe not as a group, plus they all have their own things going on.

Yoochun has a solo album too? had no idea...i actually think his voice is quite something too. and just random thing - my friend who's been studying singing told me that Jaejoong doesn't really have a very good technique, but she keeps praising Junsu. |

Just go to to my TVXQ thread, you can find the link in my discography thread under my signature, i haven't listened to it yet, so i can't tell you if i think its good. you friend is tone deaf then, I can understand why they say technique because his voice is really uncontrolled, but that's his style. From TVXQ to now, he has always been that way, but his voice is like freaking silk to my ears lol |

Hmm strange i didn't find anything about it when i was putting up the first post o_O she actually likes him, and she never said he sounds bad or out of tune, no need to be so harsh, she just said that he doesn't have the best technique that's all. And you can actually hear it i asume when you know how it is supposed to be. His voice is great. Though honestly i have to admit i wish we'd get a bit more versatility in it. I mean his lower register is so nice and soothing but he almost never uses it. =| |

in the end that ban they had didn't really do much, i think it just got them even more attention. I mean All of them were just doing fine. plus in todays age and technology, you don't really need TV apparences. I personally don't even watch TV anymore. I dunno how it's over there but i'm sure a lot of people find new artists online there now too.

i believe Junsu was on a TV show recently, but it wasn't one of the really big ones like KBS but most people I think watch stuff on Youtube so as long as they are allowed to put their videos on Youtube then they will promote just fine.

I'm also a JYJ bias. I stopped listening to TVXQ (sorry) when they split because Jaejoong has always been my favorite since their debut. and my favorite solo song from JJ is "insa". Its really emotional and probably forgotten season as well

^ok, I don't give him enough credit for his ballads most of the time but that's because a lot of them usually bore me to death. "insa" is actually quite a beautiful one, not an easy listen though. It feels like you've got to be in the mood to listen to something like that lol but it has this very puppyish romanticism in it. I cannot even explain. Like it's pretty but sad kind of? As for the lother one. Well his voice sounds wonderful. These two are very similar in terms of the feeling they give to me. And i get sad. lol You seem to be a sucker for this kind of stuff, don't you? lol Why do people like to be sad? I mean i dunno....Run away isn't really a happy song either but...it's got a different mood..like it feels more complicated in the sense of the feelings it tries to portray. Like, it's emotional, but not exactly sadly emotional it's just plain out painfuly emotional, it breaks my heart into pieces everytime i listen to it. It also has this bit of bittersweetness in it, that just gets me more hooked up, but it gets mixed up with this helplesness and a feeling of giving up in his voice that i just cannot really stay sane listening to it. Yet i keep going back over and over again. I guess i just enjoy torturing myself lol It's like just plain destruction in that song in a very calm way.

well k-pop music videos are all quite something when it comes to visuals, maybe Junsu's are a bit of a higher level.
i actually have no problem with the colour on him, i like the mature look, but the lenght bothers me a lot. But it can't be helpped. I know he wasn't a huge fan of it hismelf lol |
Flower was amazing artistically. Korean Pop really do go all out on visuals though!
I like the color. He's had black hair a few times, and I do like the short spiky look from Just Us and In Heaven, but I know he only but it that short because of military service. I will be so happy when he's out and can grow it out again. |

Idk I read that the boyfriend said that they dropped the charges, but the police said that this wasn't true. But it was yesterday or two days ago, so maybe I missed something.

cuz i've read yesterday that there were rumours that the charges were dropped but it wasn't confirmed untill later. That supposedly the sex was all consentual. But now there's an other victim apparently and yeah the company denies everything (as you said, dugh) and tells that if the acusations get confirmed, he would retire from entertainment industry.
This whole thing is such a massive mess it's hard to wrap my brain around it. he was always my least favourite. I kind of would just ignore his existance but this is horrible. Oh and not to mention all the crap they were throwing about after all that broke loose. His supposed "secrets" that he smokes and doesn't really think about quiting and that asthma is just an excuse not to serve on the military base and that he's a loyal visitor to brothels and that he had some sort of a relationship with a sasaeng fan..lilke why do people who know nothing about him feel like they have the right to pour more crap over his head, when the guy has enough on his plate already? I really am curious how they are going to deal with this stuff, this is going to stain his image permanently. |
Tbh I don't really care if he goes to brothels or not as long as he doesn't do it behind his significant other's back. But rape is really serious and I'll lose all respect for him if the accusations are true.
And yeah, even if the charges are dropped... The thing is, they might have dropped the charges because C-Jes offered them compensation or even threatened them. It just seems really weird that all of a sudden the girl decided that it was all consensual. But I won't jump to conclusions yet. I wasn't a huge fan of him, but I always liked him... And this will definitely affect the other two and JYJ as a whole. |
i have to say, i don't really care if any of them would have went with prostitution, i wouldn't care even if Jae did it. As long as it doesn't hurt anyone they a free to do whatever they want. But rape isn't something to f around with. It's a very serious thing, and if they are messing with him...that's plain evil. Man, these things make me nervous.

As far as their dancing skills, Junsu is great. I think it's harder for Jaejoong because of his leg injury, I have one myself and I know it can flair up and be painful or stiff even if it's been repaired. But on the other hand he wasn't really the best dancer to begin with. He always seemed like he half assed the choreography to me, I don't know that's the only way I can explain it. He looks bored most of the time LOL.
This Sexual Assault business with Yoochun is outrageous. I will be honestly surprised if it turns out to be true. I mean there was a thing a few years ago about Jaejoong supposedly hit his fans that turned out to be untrue. I think if Yoochun was guilty of these crimes, it would have come out well before now. It's the type of thing that he couldn't have hided in my opinion. But even if he's cleared of these charges. It will do irreparable damage to his reputation. I think we may need to prepare for Yoochun's retirement. He was always my least favorite member but I still did not want anything like this for him. Poor Jaejoong and Junsu too, I know they are feeling for their friend. This has to be hard for them. I can only hope that if this rumor is not true. It does not ruin Yoochun's career. I said for YEARS before he started doing rock music his voice was not fit for pop. It sounds good yes, but he has a rock voice in my opinion. When he did MAZE back with TVXQ-5 I was like "yep i was right" and now he just gets better and better everytime I see him.

well my friends was pushing Jaejoong on me back when they were all 5(6??) and i refused to give them a go. Rock is definitelly his type of music. It works so well! even with visuals as well. The edgier styling and a bit of anger is like made for him. It IS him!
And that's what's common with all of those rape acusations that happen with celebrities. Only a handful ever comes out to be actually legit. I dunno, you would need to be a pretty sick or twisted person to go for money if that happened to you. There was only five of them. I did like them back when they were five but, when they split off I continued to support both groups. I couldn't understand that cassies that were "i love JYJ but not TVXQ" or vice versa. I thought it was stupid and meaningless and a lot of people post things like OTP5 or that they need to get back together and although if it happened i would support it, I have also accepted the probability that it will never happen. I think they have done well since the split and being able to do what they want. Jaejoong looks so much happier than he use to. So if this is what is going to make them happy, as a fan, I support it. I hate the fans that think they need to control their bias' life. It irritates me, It sometimes doesn't occur to them that they (and I mean all celebrities) are human beings.
It does take a sick and deranged person to have something like that happen to them and go after someone else for money, I agree. But there are sick and deranged people in the world. The sad thing is that even if this investigation proves that Yoochun is innocent, because Korea is such a conservative country. He may still be forced to retire because he won't be able to get work on like dramas and whatnot. There is a high probability that this scandal will ruin and terminate his entire career, what he has worked so hard over the past 12 years for. And that is what makes me even more sick for these women. Until it's proved otherwise I assume these women want their 15 minutes of fame and money and they are willing to ruin a good man's career to do it. I just never really liked the music they put out and i couldn't understand the fuss over them, even now. And i only gave a go to JYJ because i discovered Jae and eventually Junsu. Still their solo stuff is more what i am going with even though i ocasionally fall in love with a song or two from JYJ as a group. I never liked TVXQ because their music was WAY too dancey for me and i was never a dance music person so they never clicked with me.
It's going to really do some serious damage to his career for sure regardless of the outcome of the situation, and seeing how people are reacting towards some other idols, he might as well be better gone from the industry, then, for his own good. Funny thing is though, how in this case the acusing part is a bit scared that the whole thing blew out of proportion. I mean this is RAPE we're talking about and a celebrity guy, how do you expect that not to go viral. Well i'm not talking about the beauty but him acnowledging male fans, why is that so sensational? DEAR GOD! apparently two more women have come forward, WHEN WILL THIS END?! There is now 4 women, 3 of them have filed charges. Apparently now they have formed a special task force to investigate. Yoochun's career is pretty much done now I think.

He said he'll retire if it turns out to be true (which is a weird thing to say when you're the one accused of stuff) but the public is already done with him no matter what even if he didn't rape anyone just for going to those places while being in the military so yeah.. might be better for him to just sit back and enjoy his money and hope he doesnt have to go to jail. Also I hope those women are actually telling the truth cause if they're only coming forward for attention and stuff unlike the first one who immediately reported it after it happened, then that's unfair.

i got a light shock today at work after i saw this. This is horribly simmilar to the whole MJ pedophilia case.
I mean it's insane! 4 WOMEN!! I cannot even wrap my brain around one, and now there's 4 OF THEM. And yeah when there's this amount of possible victims, it's even harder to doubt their sayings. It's true that this may be the end of JYJ too, but at least the other two have done enough of their own thing that they may be able to survive this. Jaejoong is a well sought after actor and an established solo artist. Junsu has his own solo career and well known on the musical scene. I can't imagine how painful this must be for Yoochun and his family. And also for Jaejoong and Junsu. They have already been through so much when they left SM, this just seems like the icing on the cake. -sigh-

I doubt that Yoochun isn't guilty, but I'll stick to "innocent until proven guilty" for now. I mean, so many women suddenly filing charges could be an attack to ruin Yoochun's career or whatever. But I also understand that they might've been afraid to take action before, and after the first victim took this case to the police they got more courage.
Rape is really tricky. It's a horrible crime, but it's so hard to prove, which is why a lot of people still get away with it. |
Well with the exception of the first one, there is no evidence. It's your classic case of 'he said versus she said'. I am the same as you, to me Yoochun is innocent until he is proven guilty but I can't sit here and say 4 women are lying either. One or two? yeah maybe. But something is still weird.

There's a whole list of serial rapists who got jailed because one victim caused a chain reaction. 4 is quite a huge number already.

I really didn't think much of the scandal at first but now, whether he's innocent or not doesn't matter. His 12 year career is over. And I doubt JYJ is going to go on without him, so JYJ is finished and they will probably just keep going off into their solo careers and solo activities.

^yeah, there's no way he could recover from this no matter the final outcome. On the other hand though? As sad as it will be to see the group as a whole go, i think the guys seem more into the solo stuff anyways, i mean i always felt like they've put a bit more of themselves into their solo material, it always seemed more personal. So i don't think it's going to be that bad for them. Sad? yes. I just ghope they won't vanish into the darkness without being a group. On the other hand they individualy shine way too much to be dimed down by something like that.

JYJ isn't that active really anyways. They have had two studio albums in 6 years (i don't count the FREAKING FAILURE that was The Beginning and although I can say it doesn't bother me probably as much as it should that they won't be around as a group since I only usually like like 2 or 3 songs on the albums. So the fact that the group won't be around anymore isn't really like catastrophic for me.
Although Yoochun is not really a member I like vocally, he was always my least favorite it's still sad to me to see his entire career over at this point. Whether or not these allegations are the truth. It's a little hard to believe from a fan prospective that they are, but you never really know someone. It's been so quiet on the news front lately. Maybe, just maybe we might have heard the last of it for a while. I do agree with you though, The boys seem to shine more in their solo activities. Junsu is so successful with his albums. It's a little hard to believe that he has four studio albums now. It feels like only yesterday that he releases Tarantallegra. Although, I wouldn't mind another English single like UNCOMMITTED, that song was actually really good! As for Jaejoong, his music is just amazing. I actually got this guy I am dating to start listening to him and now he's a fan just like me! I feel so proud that Jaejoong has another fan in the world (especially since it's a male fan), I'm not going to lie, i think it would be interesting to see Jaejoong make an English track or single. |
AMAZING NEWS! Yoochun has proved that he did not rape the last two women who accused him! He and CJES have proved he was in China at both times! So now we are just waiting to see if he is cleared of the original 2 (or 1 since I guess the first one dropped charges)

Out of the three (and the five) Junsu was always the least appealing to me. I don't know, they just never gave him the right hairstyle or something... but those pictures....

i think they just did some more contouring on him. Also the lighting is much more subtle here so he doesn't look as washed out as he usually does. That's what you get with high fashion pictorials. They didn't do as much of a good job on Jaejoong though on his, BUT Jae has quite a face with the right light like here for example. I know he did Triangle and that other one, but they are just still a bit too light for me. I'd like to see him try something a bit more on the "traumatic" side of the spectre of dramas. He did mention that a Japan debut is coming with an album release a while ago, this is the first (double) single.
I do think i prefer the verses over chorus more too. It's a really nice package he's bringing out. I'm looking forward to this.
