I wasn't able to view that clip either as only people living in Japan are able to watch it which's ironic cos the Golden Melody Awards was shown in Taiwan o_O
It's a nice performance that Ken did & it's just him + a Taiwanese guitarist onstage , that's all It surprised me that Ken is actually quite decently fluent in English and Mandarin . Makes sense as there's no weird Engrish from him when he covered English songs in his Ken's Bar cover albums |

Absolutely love the packaging! Might consider buying it if I like the album enough.
Believe it or not, despite some of the singles on the album being many years old, I haven't heard any of the A-sides for this album (except Grotesque). I got back into Ken sometime late last year and have been working my way around his entire discography. I'm just about done listening to everything. I may listen to the more recent singles now just cause we'll be getting leaks any day now anyway. |
Not so sure how the album tracks will stack up against the singles as they're already good and I'm glad Kokuhaku is included (despite it being the oldest single in the album) as that's still a great single song

Want to say that I'm currently ripping the DVD footages from my THE STILL LIFE copy and I realised for some funny odd reason , they forgot to include the Mahoutte Itte Ii Kana ? PV in the DVD o_O
But in its absence , they included a studio live version of the song which I guess it's not so bad ? It's still strange though |

I never really cared about him, but I'm a sucker for art and oil paintings, so he made me curious. I checked out his latest (?) video "Plus One" and it was pretty catchy and now I'm totally in love with his new album. My favorites so far are Plus One, ON AIR, ソレデモシタイ, おんなじさみしさ, TIME, 魔法って言っていいかな桔梗が丘 and それでいいな.
Oh and *whispers* he's smokin' hot. |
It's always good for more people to listen to Ken's music as up to now , he's still 1 of the best in the business and for him to be around 21 years & counting , it's saying something
When I 1st started listening to Japanese music , Ken was the 1st male solo artiste I listened/supported . Even now I can't find another male artiste of the same calibre as him (maybe Shimizu Shota fit the bill) but be it voice and/or image , Ken is unique THE STILL LIFE is good even though new material wise , it's overshadowed considerably by the single songs but most of the single songs are good so that's not so bad I guess My favourite Ken album is still SENTIMENTALovers while gaining through losing & LIFE is... are still awesome Random but I wish Ken would work with Babyface again though =x |
