Super impressive sales. Namie deserves it. While I think a normal best would have sold fairly well (Ballada levels), there is no denying that the retirement announcement vaulted it to these extreme levels in this day and age.

I have a question, because i didn't really follow what's been going on recently : is FINALLY her last release ever? Or will she release another new album in 2018 (I mean with new songs). Or we don't know yet?
Anyway, i'm happy for her for those numbers, if only she could sell 1 million for the first week! |

The re-recorded versions are exactly what I wanted from Namie. I could never get in to her older works (not for lack of trying), partly because I didn't like her voice when she was younger. Her current, mature voice is really more my style. So hearing those old tracks with her current voice was so much fun! I got to really appreciate tracks that didn't appeal to me before. Finally could definitely go on my wishlist. :) |

About the discussion of Namie's current voice in the rerecordings of the old songs, I'm also happy with it. I love how strong it sounds on the super monkeys tracks. I've become a fan of Aishite Muscat because of it!
As for the other songs, I really like the little effects they added, like the stronger bass in how to be a girl, (is it a harp? in tsuki,) the bells in say the word, ect... its minor changes and enhancements that make the rerecordings special to me |
Aishite Muscat is probably my favorite of her old songs. (I just only first listened to them when she announced her retirement and I was feeling nostalgic.) It's just so freaking fun. I cannot not dance to it when I listen to it. Though I also like Mister USA. It's embarrassingly cheesy but just as fun too!

I'm still going through the grieving process myself....every time I think about her retirement I just want to bawl my eyes out. I am so glad that she will hit at least 1 million before the week is done. |

Hey guys I took pics of the Shibuya109 Pop up store. Its a little small but it was still very cool that they did it. I herd it was extremely busy on opening day with a huge waiting line. The 1 good thing is that if you're a tourist & you spend more than 5,000 Yen at the CD shops in Japan , you don't have to pay taxes as long as you show your passport to the staff My sister went back Tokyo in Sept & she helped me to buy 1 album & 1 DVD in TSUTAYA Shibuya , that's why I know about this |

I received my copy of Finally yesterday and I have to say I'm really enjoying the arrangements and vocals for the most part. I LOVED what was on disc 1, really refreshing to hear new vocals on the old school TK tracks. There were some on disc 2 that weren't the best imo but they aren't offensively bad. I'm on disc 3 right now and I think no one has really mentioned this, but arigatou's arrangement is really great. I love the atmosphere it sets. It feels more grand than before, though I prefer the vocals of the original. Oh, "oh shit baby" in Big Boys Cry sounds more obvious in the Finally ver lmao.

I was never an active user in this forum, and I know I‘m kind of late xD But I want to say how sad it is for me, that my favorite singer will retire :( I made a fanspace account back in September, so I was able to order the fanspace version (and I am happy, if it arrives before 2018 ^^;). But while I‘m waiting, I already listened to the complete album and I‘m so happy :luv2 besides her singles and the new recordings, I love In Two, Showtime and Finally <3. Although I favor the originals over most of the new recordings, I love listening to them and I‘m thankful they exist <3 Now I am ready to try to get a ticket, but I‘m not very optimistic ^^; I am lucky to be able to go to Japan around April or May, so I will apply for Osaka or Tokyo... But I fear, it will be harder to get tickets from Tokyo, because of the Golden Week... or in general on the weekend - what do you think :/? |

Her tickets are generally strictly lottery. No general sales. So she usually just holds lottery after lottery (until the tickets are sold out, I think). In the past, there's usually about a week of waiting time between when the lottery ends and when the winners are chosen. I expect the same this time around but we should know for sure when the fanspace lottery page opens up later. I think I'm going to use fanspace to apply for Nagoya and Fukuoka. And then my CDs to apply for Sapporo. Hopefully those 3 domes have a higher chance of winning tickets than Osaka and Tokyo. :tired :tired :tired |
