We follow the track of the masterpieces since her debut by changing scale which makes her shows multifariously.
This tour must be going to become something special and the long awaited "special edition" tour for her fans.

yeah it was me! I was sitting at 23th row very close to the gate. I heard how you guys said "6th row" when you came in the hall.

how was it sitting at 6th row?? really close?

Yeah, it was really close! Yesterday in Shiga I was in 9th row. Didn’t know Global TA can get 23rd row. The worst ticket I got was Saitama, 17th row and there were lots of foreigners at that show. In Kyoto there was couple from Singapore on 7th row and a guy from HK, so I thought all foreigners were quite close

Well when taking the entire hall into account, 23rd isn’t that bad. At least that’s what I told myself on the 31st, lol.

So far I’ve gotten:

Yokohama: 8th
Saitama: 8th
Tokyo International Forum: 24th
Saitama: 12th

I was wondering if I should ever try updating my TA with a Japanese address and applying that way for the next tour, to see if I’d have a better shot at even closer seats, but I think that would probably end up being a mistake. I mean, with global Team Ayu it appears that it’s already common place to be seated relatively close - it’s unknown what could happen if I changed my address and whenever I’ve done crap like that (wanted to test out another method when the way I’ve been doing it was relatively good) I always end up regretting it and say to myself “a gaurentee is better than an unknown!” So I think I’ll stay in global but I might splurge on a front or second row ticket from an auction site just once.

Also, I just noticed, but does it bother anyone else that the third chapter isn’t titled? Why give the second chapter a title and then not the third. Kind of stupid if you ask me. It’s like they didn’t follow through with the concept.

attractive nausea 11th January 2018 11:02 AM

^ Chapter 1 didn't have a name either lol

What bothers me the most is that chapter 1 was filmed and aired on TV really fast, so i was expecting the same for chapter 2 when it ended, but nope, nothing. I think it would have been better not to do anything at all for chapter 1 if it doesn't follow the same logic for the next chapters smh.

I expected chapter 1 & 2 & 3 to be all recorded and released on a 3 DVD release (+ maybe CDL 2016-2017) after the tour ends, but since we don't really know if they filmed chapter 2 + the fact that the setlists are the same for chapter 2 & 3 for the cute section, i really wonder if we'll ever see chapter 2 on a DVD.

I have a Japanese TA account and there were times that my seats ended up being far away so I don't think it will necessarily increase your chances of seat location.

As a side note, it may be harder to get closer seats at the cities you went to. I find chances of closer seating are better at places that are "out there" like Aomori or Tokushima

Lol I know but for some reason that would't have bothered me as much since like say for example in trilogies of movies the first one doesn't usually have a subtitle anyway, lol. But to randomly throw ONE subtitle in is weird to me.

I actually wasn't aware that the first chapter even aired, lol. But if they do plan to release the second and third chapter on video it is curious how they would handle that considering the similarities you pointed out.

attractive nausea 11th January 2018 03:13 PM

^ Yeah you're right.

I told myself that she could decide to change the setlist for the last show(s) by replacing Shake it!♥ and STEP you with Beautiful Fighters/ANGEL'S SONG/HONEY/Ladies Night for example, but if i recall correctly chapter 3 doesn't have a band and all the songs were pre-recorded so it would require her to gather the band again just to record these songs.

no, it wasn't global TA :) I bought the ticket like 1 hour before the show through twitter haha.

Speaking of the next tour, do you guys think Ayu will be touring this April or May??

We mentioned earlier but she did say during MC in the last Saitama show that she would be returning to Saitama to perform again in April. So we know she’s at least planning something.

Me too. I would like at least 2-3 months to plan everything!

Katsuyuki012 12th January 2018 04:11 PM

Who knows if it will be a new show and not just all three chapters mixed up for THE anniversary live. Obviously it's very possible she'll make a different live but I wouldn't be surprised if it'll simply be an altered version of the current tour.

I don't care xD I just want to See her live on her Anniversary^^

dreamalley 12th January 2018 04:59 PM

I would rather see her take a break for a few months between tours and do her 20th anniversary tour after the summer. I'd rather see her do a tour with less dates but better planning and better production.

ayuuk 13th January 2018 02:26 AM

I hope she will do several lives in bigger cities in May...

krtman2002 13th January 2018 08:44 AM

After all those concert dates I don't care about a new tour now, I wonder when is she going to release a new album. That wait is really killing me. Hahah

rainbow_smile 13th January 2018 09:49 AM

Speaking of global TA seats... Applying as a Global TA member doesn't really guarantee anything (although maybe it increases your chances). Out of the 6 concerts I attended, I had great seats only at half of them. At the 3 remaining concerts my seats were quite far from the stage. I think I've seen a couple of people here who also got bad seats before. And apparently, some didn't even win the lottery.

~angel*ayumi~ 13th January 2018 11:11 AM

I think not winning tickets at Global TA we only had for TA Tour if I remember right.

Yes! I hope she will do like a stadium concert for her 20th Anniversary.

3-5 shows on every other night that would be good, she get to rest too!

I think there was also someone who said they didn't win one for an Arena Tour, iirc it was Cirque de Minuit, but i don't remember very well ^^

ayuuk 14th January 2018 07:07 AM

I think arena will be great!

hayasaki 14th January 2018 09:08 AM

I kinda miss Ayu performing in Bigger venues. She suits arenas really well and I honestly think she's still far from not being able to sell seats because whenever Ayu got an upcoming show you'll still see people looking for tickets especially in twitter.

She can do like a Premium Showcase tour where less dates but bigger props. <3

Andrenekoi 14th January 2018 12:41 PM

^I don't think her decision to tour halls has anything to do with her ability of selling enough tickets for an arena... In the end of the day this tour DID start with 9 arena dates and she did just fine.

IMO it's more of a schedule conflict due to the Olympic Game repairs + the possibility of touring places without a venue that big.

Agree on that, she travels to so much places and cities she like never goes too. Yeah there was 2 TA Tours, but this tour now is for everyone.
The venue problem should be mainly present in the Tokyo Area, so I don´t think that is the reason. I rly think she wants to reach more ppl in different part of the country on the way to her 20th Anniversary celebration.

pedronekoi 14th January 2018 05:38 PM

C'mon, guys! She just performed in big places for the first chapter of the tour like 6 months ago! Is not like she have been performing in small venues for 5 years or something.

DavidChaiLatte 15th January 2018 06:36 AM

Anyone else going to the Sendai show tonight? Going to be my first Ayu show ever OMFGAHSKJDSHKJHDDKJSA

ayuuk 15th January 2018 09:32 AM

Wow so nice, please let us know how it goes!!

Jenji 15th January 2018 03:50 PM

Is anyone going to the show in Aomori on february 12th?

DavidChaiLatte 16th January 2018 03:52 AM

Still can't believe I finally got to see Ayu in person... definitely a dream come true

However, while the whole show was full of energy and emotions (she must've cried at least 5 times), her voice was extremely worn out. :( She pretty much screamed through the entire show, and by the end she sounded extremely hoarse even if she's just talking or laughing (almost lost her voice doing so).

I felt really bad for her but I definitely still had an amazing time - it makes a world of difference when you are actually there hearing her sing all these songs you grew up with in person :')

truehappiness 16th January 2018 06:08 AM

I guess it's too many shows in a short period for her. Good that you had a great time though!

So happy you got to go! I love it when people get to go for the first time, knowing how absolutely amazing mine was. Did you cry? Lol, I melted down at the end of my first time.

Speaking of crying, yeah ayu cries a lot during the show, but much of it is part of the theatrics. For example, in Last minute, she stopped singing and just sat there and “cried” at the exact same part during both shows I went to, and resumed singing in the same spot too.

Also I forgot to mention that I think Timmy gets to improvise slightly during the portion where he comes on stage and his cane is somewhat controlling him. Like the first time I saw him he kept calling it his “sexy” stick, and he pointed to me with it and said “are you a bad boy??” Lmao. Then when it’s like stuck on the stage and he’s trying to pull it back out, during the New Years show he said “Fuck it.” and I died, lol. The show on January 5th he didn’t say that.

How was it like in a hall! Must have been a really near experience :D
Im catching her in OKINAWA this year and its her first time performing there if im not wrong. I hope she changes things SLIGHTLY and...hoping for an okay voice haha

kendelle 16th January 2018 09:55 AM

I applied over 5 concerts in 2015 and won no tickets, this time I applied for 5 and got 3. I'm hoping I get close once, even if it's further for the other two dates

It's so cold in Japan right now, hopefully her voice is gonna hold

Andrenekoi 16th January 2018 12:20 PM

So, Ayu crying while performing is a part of the performance? :0 Shocked. :V

You never thought about this before? For sure in some songs she cried for real but most of them she's acting. This don't surprises me anymore haha

Hope her voice gets better!

Sarcasm :P
Once you are on a stage you are acting. What doesn't really mean she isn't feeling those stuff for real, as one does while acting.

I only think she is crying for reals when she goes into ugly-crying like untitled ~ for her

attractive nausea 16th January 2018 04:36 PM

^ I don't know what you guys think but her crying at the end of Walk during countdown live 2014-2015 seemed genuine to me, but yeah most of the time now she fakes it, i don't know what to think of it actually.

SunshineSlayer 16th January 2018 04:48 PM

Yeah, she has been fake crying for a long time now. Kind of dissappointing to be honest. I feel like it is real though when you can hear her voice being choked up. That would be hard to fake I think. So yeah, the Walk performance sounded real to me.

Andrenekoi 16th January 2018 05:59 PM

It's a performance, I don't see it as a big deal. There are some songs she has been performing for almost 20 years now, it's a little too much asking her to personally get moved by it every single time.

Good acting means she actually is feeling those songs, because a good stage actor needs to feel the scenes, even if those feelings are fabricated.

Sky High 16th January 2018 11:34 PM

I liked her performing "Walk" it was really genuine. After that show i never saw her performing that song again.

EndOfTheWorld 16th January 2018 11:42 PM

I think sometimes she is acting and sometimes it is real. I think Power Of Music had the most genuine tears.

truehappiness 16th January 2018 11:50 PM

CDL07-08 was all real though, I think. Like to the point where the crying was screwing with the live after it hit her hard.

I love this concert though. It made me fall in love with untitled because it’s such a heartbreaking performance.

holy_arrow 17th January 2018 02:23 AM

In my viewpoint, crying is a part of the her concert by the 3 reasons:

1. After singing some songs in the same part, she feels her voice is getting weaker, she can't hold on longer, she will cry, so that the audience will understand that due to her crying, the voice is worse.

2. She cries because there is something reminded when she sings. We all know that some song has the special memories of Ayu like A Song for XX, Memorial Address, HEAVEN, SAKURA... That is real crying.

3. She wants to create the great experience for the audience, there are some songs written for fans, she cries to make the lyrics more emotional and the fans will have feel the lyrics and the song.

This relates the the previous topic about the seat location and lottery results for global fans.

Is this year the first year that they’ve divided the ballots for Japanese fans and global fans? I thought in the past everyone applied using the same method/site but this year they had separate dates and application methods for global fans and Japanese fans. That might explain a lot.

However, I could be wrong cause I never paid much attention to the previous years’ methods since it was an impossibility for me to attend anyway.

It was 100% real! She was dealing with the death of her friend and stuff like that.

dreamalley 17th January 2018 12:11 PM

I would prefer it if she didn't cry in her songs, tbh.

Like in the 2015 Arena tour she totally ruined "Last Minute" with the exaggerated fake crying.

In the 2011 PoM performance of "BRILLANTE" she tears up a bit toward the end and her voice chokes in the last sentence. That was genuine and it was a nice touch.

Yeah it was super annoying. Sometimes it seems honest though like during walking proud (AT 2005) or during the Cirque Du Minuit Countdown towards the end of Walk, most of the time it comes off as super fake.

RealLight 17th January 2018 01:19 PM

^ I agree.

The fake crying during Secret at AT15 ruined the perfomance for me.

I almost did - I pretty much broke down like a little baby on the inside. The Timmy part was kind of awkward because I felt like I was probably the only one who understood him LOL.

Are you still in Japan? Any other Ayu fans in Japan would like to potentially meet up? I'm in Nagoya right now.

DavidChaiLatte 17th January 2018 02:53 PM

Regarding the "fake" crying - I felt like during the show every single time she struggled screaming through the high notes, it was almost guaranteed she would start crying - esp during ballads. I wonder if it's a thing she does to cover up her current harsh vocal condition or she's just simply upset that she can't reach certain notes anymore?

truehappiness 17th January 2018 04:28 PM

Some songs she doesn't cry during that high note stuff though. It's usually just ballads because they are approaching their 'emotional peak' during those bits.

I don't mind it so much but the Japanese fans usually get a rise out of it either way. That is probably the main reason why, because she knows people are like "aww...." at some point.

Evan Odinson 17th January 2018 04:58 PM

I just came to see if there were any news/pics of the tour and there are only posts about if she fakes cries or not :rolleyes

I personally don't care if she is personally moved by it every time or not. I would prefer it if she just performed the way she feels the song at the time, rather than faking it even if that meant less "crying". It's pretty obvious when it's faked anyway.

I also agree with this. She's not the only artist to do so. You make something "emotional" to cover up that you can't hit the note.

Does anyone has experience with ordering tickets via the Lawson Ticket Online Page? I want to order a ticket for the aomori show but I don't know how it works. Maybe someone here can help me.

Andrenekoi 17th January 2018 06:45 PM

I can only imagine the meltdowns over here if Ayu only runned through the songs on the most protocolar way possible because she wasn't really feeling them at the day...

pedronekoi 17th January 2018 07:53 PM

Maybe we should switch to the Anything goes topic lol But... what matters is that she have so many powerful and meaningful performances like this one for A Song is Born in Sendai one year after the big earthquake/tsunami. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiopAxuKBhI

Hi. Are you talking about getting tickets through machines at Lawson? If you’re in Japan its easy to get one as long as seats are still available. Just look for the code of Aomori show in Lawson ticket site. Hope this link helps

Thank you for your help, I wanted to order the ticket online since I am not in Japan yet but I am a little hesitating because I don't know how I can order it online. I guess I just have to wait and hope that tickets are still available when I arrive in Japan.

I'm in the same boat (for a different show date though). Ticket.co.jp no longer accepts foreign credit cards as far as I can tell, though you can buy off them if you can get to a Lawson's or 711 to pay within 30 minutes of ordering. I ended up contacting japanconcerttickets.com. They buy them off the resale sites and can ship them to you. I not know that much about them, as I haven't actually purchased the tickets from them yet, but the reviews seem to be good. Maybe someone else here has more experience with them or a similar website. Otherwise you'll have to buy from a convenience store machine, hopefully they'll still have.

Yeah I’m here on exchange but I’m Tokyo.

Speaking of Nagoya, there’s an AyuNight similar to the one I went to in October where they play nothing but ayu music in a club and have drag performance shows/impersonators. I would highly recommend going as getting to dance to ayu in a club is one of the sickest experiences. The performances are a blast and hilarious too. It’s on the 29th.

Hi everyone! So I am thinking of going alll the way to Kobe or Okinawa for one of these final shows because this set list is so hard to pass up. But I have a BURNING QUESTION: on the Third Chapter leg of the tour, is the "ourselves" the album version or is it the arrangement she did on Music Station earlier this month? (because I hated that version honestly and it's my favorite song ;.;) If anyone has been to the Third Chapter shows or knows the answer please let me know cause I think it might actually affect my decision to go all the way out there. Thanks!!!!

TNeilson 21st January 2018 04:55 PM

Just got back from today’s concert in Sapporo, Ayu sang Many Classic Moments after the encore, I’m guessing mainly because of the recent Komuro and Keiko news... it was touching.

I used japanconcerttickets.com for a couple of concerts last month. While it adds a bit to the price, I found it worthwhile and very easy to use. Tickets arrived VERY quickly as well. Well, one of them - my ticket for Ayu I just had to print out at a 7-11 when I arrived in Japan.

Thanks for the info! I still haven't been able to get tickets from them, as they seem to be very busy now, but they have responded quickly to emails. How early did you buy tickets and did they ship to where you live? My main problem is not having a shipping address while in Japan and I'm only going to arrive a few days before the show, a few weeks from now. JCT said they'd ship to a post office where I can pick up (I think it's called kyoku dome?) but you only have 10 days to pick them up before returned to sender. So timing and shipping are the biggest challenge in my case. Also, just in case anyone was thinking of using Tenso to forward tickets to your foreign address, concert tickets are one of the few things they will NOT ship out of country.

They shipped one to to me direct once I had paid - and it was very quick, took a week maximum. I ordered about 4 weeks before I left for Japan, so I think with 3 weeks you should be ok. If you can get your ticket beforehand it means one less thing to worry about, but that's just me.

Hey question! Did she sing the album version of "ourselves" or is it the new mix from the first leg of the tour & Music Station performance?

There wasn't any particular announcement today. I renewed and didn't even get the file :(

They concert was amazing. Her voice was a little shaky in the beginning but by the rock segment she was a lot better. I really hope this chapter makes it to DVD.

She's really killing it on stage, I like the smaller and more intimate setup.

hayasaki 29th January 2018 02:45 PM

Just got home from the show!! It was an awesome show, liked it better than the second chapter since the setlist has more songs that I personally liked. A Song is Born is such a wonderful surprize. And nice meeting you Elin and Kendelle. Hope it won’t be the last to see you two :)

hayasaki 30th January 2018 04:20 AM

^that was fast!!! hope this chapter will also be released with limited special performed songs in every date included. She sounded really good with A Song is Born last night.

Aderianu 30th January 2018 07:39 AM

Ayu performed a song is born after the encore?

hayasaki 30th January 2018 07:53 AM

^yes she did :)

MissElin_ 30th January 2018 11:59 AM

Yes A Song is Born was a really nice surprise. :luv2 And how I loved when she invited the audience to sing along. The atmosphere was so powerful and emotional. And the way Ayu sang in Keiko's parts reminded me of Keiko herself, how much power she put into her voice.

I was also surprised that I loved the Ourselves performance. I read so many reviews of the new composition that I thought for sure I was gonna hate it. But I really really enjoyed it. It's like it's almost a completely new song, so they can't really compare. Also the performance with Ourselves was killer. Very very strong and filled with angry chaos feeling. FLOWER was also very cool!

I love meeting AHS members so I was very happy to meet you both, Kendelle and Hayasaki! :love

pedronekoi 30th January 2018 12:29 PM

OMG!! Where is this footage from? Broadcasting? I'm confused.

But I loved! She looks amazing and the audience was really singing along.

Edit: ok, just saw it on her instagram lol

Embarrassingly bad vocals in that clip. I've been rewatching a lot of performances from 2002-2007 lately, it's crazy how she used to sound sooo good and now we get this...

Ear lose, aging, too many tours, vocals chords tired... 2015 was an amaing year for her vocally, but as long as she keeps this touring shcedule we can't ask for anything better

EndOfTheWorld 30th January 2018 03:05 PM

I thought Ayu was shouting so loudly at times in A Song is Born. But it wasn't terrible overall and the arrangement sounded nice. I'm also reminded I don't want Timmy.:laugh
I was surprised to see video. Does this mean there is more footage from the show?:think

Aderianu 30th January 2018 03:40 PM

Some artists record each show to watch it after and decide what looks good and what to change. There are only 2 angles at this clip - from the balcony and from the backstage, so I guess that's technical recording.
I'm just interested if ayu keep all of them or delete from time to time
