I'm addicted to IT'S MY LIFE <3 Such a good song and different from her discography! (The beginning reminds me of "Black Barbie" by Nicki Minaj tho)
And I really hope she uses the Instagram as a personal account and not only posting the same stuff from LINE. :( |
I actually enjoy AND more than ~Outside ~. AND feels more focused and confident in certain ways. SWEETEST TABOO was a pleasant surprise. I'm really interested in seeing how she'll interpret it live.

Loved the first half of the album. imo ALL RIGHT is the worst song. I also never liked LIT at all, but IT'S MY LIFE was a great ~last song~.

I am so FLOORED by this album. Originally, I had low expectations bc I didn't think anything could top W Face ~outside~. Good thing I did lol. Everything from PARTY to OUTTA MY HEAD is bop on bop on bop. NEVER ENOUGH was out of place and it should've been HUSH instead, but then it gets right back into things with ALL RIGHT. There's literally no song I don't dislike. While maybe not stylistically different, I think this is def a fantastic follow-up to W FACE. The album ending on ITS MY LIFE makes it feel incomplete to me, so I hope DNA fills that up. My favs are GOT ME GOIN', WHO and OUTTA MY HEAD.

No shade but did she damage her vocal chords? She sounds horrendous on NEVER ENOUGH. I’ve noticed on her ballads as of recent, she just sounds so awful (NO ME WITHOUT YOU, Heartless). It feels like she’s trying too hard. Which is unfortunate because the melody of the songs are great.
Album is nothing special. ALL RIGHT is the only track I can remember. Another pedestrian effort by Kuu. |
I think the album works well as a whole, but other than LIT nothing a a singular-replay-value to me. Its like W FACE 2.0, but with less memorable songs.

So, the album is better than I expected from the previews, but still not a style I'm all that into. It has a sunny vibe, and I find it a little less noisy than W Face ~Outside~ in general. It's smoothed out some of the harshness that made that album really short lived for me.
Haircut (thank you for sharing LiDaYu!) is like Cupcake part II. Was not a fan of cupcake at all, hahaha. I sound so cynical! But I'm not finding what I come looking for with Kuu these days. Gotta see the W Face live to see how the style works for her concerts, which are usually a win no matter what! |

For those wondering why people with the music card can download both songs, they addressed it today:

It's very strange that they are separating the single and album version of LIT on Spotify. I know the album version doesn't have the annoying sound at the end, but I thought they would put them as the same to keep the same streams (80k).

This album is not as good as I originally anticipated. But I do love some of the songs. WHO is awesome. OUTTA MY HEAD is probably my second favorite. ITS MY LIFE is good too. The rest is kind of blah for me. I did enjoy W FACE much more. But I still am looking forward to DNA. is this gonna be a new trend for Kuu? Two short albums instead of one long one? Not sure how I feel about that. I know it makes my wallet hurt.

I wonder if AND sales would have been better if Kuu didn't include the normal DVD in the fanclub version ?
Usually fanclub versions of any artiste's releases don't include what you get if you buy the normal versions of an album or a single so for Kuu to do that , I'm surprised Anyway Oricon is not relevant anymore , even now JPopAsia is starting to use Billboard Japan's data as they're more relevant |

WHO drives me absolutely bonkers. From 0:38〜1:02 it's really good and leads you to believe it's really building into something exciting. It fuels hope and anticipation. But then that absolutely atrocious, lifeless, run-of-the-mill, mindless loop is introduced with the drop and the song is completely trashed. You can't see from the web player, only on the software/app. They are all pretty much 2k each, with PARTY having 3k and SWEETEST TABOO 4.5k. The total of the album is around 45k as for right now.

Listening to AND right now for the first time ( I'm at NEVER ENOUGH right now) and I can say that I enjoy this album more than W FACE. It's not going to be one of my new favourite album of her but I'm sure that I will listen to it more in the future.
After listening to the previews I wasn't sure if I would like the new songs but it turns out that there are fun to listen to. The only song that I didn't like that much is SWEETEST TABOO. |
