You guys remember the baseball player, who's a big fan of Kuu, Yuta Kuroki?
He was recently spotted at training with a towel from the current FC tour.

Her good night post on Insta today is too cute!
The song for DNA she recorded today is, according to her captions, a song with a bold statement and electronic influences.

voltron 23rd May 2018 07:12 PM

I always find the birthday messages from fanclubs to be kind of funny (and a bit random). I know Ayu's is updated every year, not sure about Ku's, but here is the message I got:

Dear

Happy Birthday! !

When I was in my 20s, I wanted to be in 30s sooner. (^ー^)
I am in my 30s now and want to reach 40 quickly. I am not kidding.
It is because I think there are things you can see only when you get older.

These are all thanks to my wonderful older friends.
I still wish to become like them.
Do you have such friends, seniors, bosses, and families around you? ?

I now want to become such a woman.
I want everyone to find
"something" that makes you a role model for someone! !
I want you to be such a person! !
On my birthday! !
Making you declare! (LOL)

Have a happy year! !

KUMI KODA

Diva_br 23rd May 2018 09:02 PM

^That's different from the one I got (And I like yours better lol) Maybe she change it every month or something?

Anyway, Kuu's recording:

https://scontent.fmex3-1.fna.fbcdn.n...a7&oe=5B769E58

She's saying that the song she recorded was pretty hard

ayumi_croatia 23rd May 2018 10:00 PM

I hate her eyebrows so much :laugh

mi|kshake 23rd May 2018 10:16 PM

Her birthday message is cute!

kaled kalil 24th May 2018 03:14 AM

Her instagram just show us more and more how she pretty much never stop working. And it always looks like she's alone at the record studio haha, I think it's inside her house. So curious about DNA. ♥

I also love how she's promoting the tour with the account, it's so much better than waiting for the whole thing to end to finally see some official photos.

pedronekoi 25th May 2018 03:11 AM

I'm loving her activity in Instagram lol Watching the stories is always fun!

KuuXAyu-fan 25th May 2018 10:07 PM

Was listening to Kuu's ballads this past week. Really hope we get another Yume no Uta/Suki De/Koishikute sometime in the future from her.

a❤martian 25th May 2018 11:31 PM

I prefer her R&B ballads best. hands, anyone?

voltron 26th May 2018 12:15 AM

Yessss to hands!

I actually find her ballads to be really hit or miss, with mostly a miss to me personally. But the ones I like, I LOVE.

I get what you mean. Her ballads as of recent have been almost consecutive misses for me. I haven't loved a ballad from her since Dejavu. But, ballads like Hana and Rain for me are like, what my soul is made of. The feels are real :P

Baco__ 26th May 2018 04:33 AM

^I'm with you two! Hahaha

ayumi_croatia 26th May 2018 09:27 AM

Rain and Hana :heart

My favorites from her.

Cahz- 26th May 2018 03:44 PM

I need another mid-tempo like Slow

jiarongisme 26th May 2018 03:59 PM

Omg Slow is a masterpiece. So is Rain.

voltron 26th May 2018 06:11 PM

I also love slow, and am happy to see the love for it! She does well with mid-tempos like that...No Man's Land, Dance in the Rain, Ex Tape, etc.

I feel like I dislike a lot of her popular ballads (cellphone ballads don't do much for me, and I find the ballad section of her concerts to be too long and drawn out, and boring), and the ones I like are less popular. For example, I LOVE WOML, and I never really see it getting any love.

ayumi_croatia 26th May 2018 08:23 PM

Slow is everything. I love WOML too.

Also, Magic is one of her best songs. She has so many great album tracks on her first three albums.

kaled kalil 27th May 2018 02:07 AM

Sad that it seems no one recorded the Sukkiri Live :(

This account posted performances from the Sukkiri live. Not HQ but better than nothing I suppose.

Omg magic is amazing as well. WOML seems to be quite a favourite amongst Japanese fans though? Or at least that's how I see it when I watch her DVDs. That song gets the most cheers in WOML Tour/The Artist.

Thank you so much, :luv2

Corvina 27th May 2018 12:20 PM

Full Sukkiri live broadcast uploaed by Kinot:
https://tieba.baidu.com/p/5718640799...ngpost=0&pn=0&

It really is nice to see, how hyped the audience here is about her, considering probably only the people with (W FACE Tour) lightsticks are her fans.
In the backstage footage Sukkiri aired two weeks ago, Kuu told everyone (again, not the first time she spoke about that) how nervous she still is, when she's performing before an audience not consisting solely of her own fans (aka not her own concerts).
Also interesting, how popular Ultraviolet seems to be.

Corvina 28th May 2018 09:15 AM

Omg, her posts from the Hiroshima dates this weekend are awesome!

Kuu released a video about DNA at her FC yesterday.
To sum it up:
She in fact started with DNA before AND, but just now finishes it with the last two songs.
DNA is going to be an album to "feel Kuu's DNA with".
It's going to include all different kinds of Kuu sounds - nostalgic ones, her current pop sound, loved ballads s.o.
Like little (DNA) pieces forming her together.
For the DNA Tour setlist she's paying attention to all the comments she receives e.g. through Instagram.
Right now it's still scattered in small pieces on her laptop.

So the album is probably going back to have a non-cohesive tracklist like before WOML?
As her first idea for this year was only doing a FC album and tour, DNA was probably meant to be it initally.

Yas! Ready for a cellphone ballad or two. :luv2:luv2

Corvina 29th May 2018 12:57 PM

Some more info about DNA as she talked about it in the MC in Hiroshima apparently and some Japanese fans posted it in their comments:
- Kuu has 14 songs for DNA. Let's see, if she's going to use all of them or narrowing it down to 10 again.
-The hard song she just recently recorded has a tie-in. She needed 3 days for the song.
- Compared to AND, AND is a "chill" album, while DNA is a "catchy" album.
- She recorded a grand ballad for the album.

If I see more, I gonna share them.

Gustavopc 29th May 2018 01:49 PM

Thanks for those info, Corvina! This is getting me hyped for DNA, I really hope all these 14 songs are included on it :heart

a❤martian 29th May 2018 06:04 PM

Does DNA not deserve its own spoiler on the opening post? That way we can keep track of what info we have so far

Gustavopc 29th May 2018 11:03 PM

Does anyone have the performance that Kuu did with Linda Yamamoto of Dounimo tomaranai and could share it, pretty pretty please?

KuuXAyu-fan 30th May 2018 12:55 AM

The last time they said "grand ballad" we ended up with NEVER ENOUGH. Her worst ballad to date. Hope this is better.

I went to both Hiroshima shows last weekend! Absolutely awesome concerts! Her energy was incredible, especially nice to see in such a small venue (I read the venue has a capacity of about 800).

This was my 2nd/3rd time seeing her after the Singles Best Tour in 2016. I was at the very back on the 2nd floor then, but it was still one of my favourite concerts of the year. I was no more than 10 metres from her at these concerts, and got waved at a couple of times :D

I didn't know anything about the setlist before going, so it was a pleasant surprise! Megumi no Hito, although it's a cover, is one of my favourite songs from her, so unexpectedly seeing her perform it live was amazing!

Man does she talk fast though, MCs were very difficult to keep up with, haha. A fan question was "What is a recent dream that surprised you?" and she spoke about getting ready for a concert, and when the curtain opened, it was just a couple of family members in the audience. But that she carried on dancing asking her dancers "What should we do?" xD Another fan question asked her if she had any recommendations in Hiroshima, to which she bluntly answered "None" (such a waste of a fan question!) xD But she then went on to describe a trip she had there when she was younger, didn't catch all the details though.

Saturday was better than Sunday for me, as I had to deal with a really annoying girl with her hands constantly in the air until I managed to get beside her/in front. Only minor complaint about the show was that it's a shame the setlist was the exact same, and that some of the MC parts were definitely rehearsed.

Absolutely can't wait to see her again in November for the DNA tour!

I usually only do that with officially released information.
But you're right, cause I didn't add DNA Tour and the site for the album - that is official after all.

I like this concept, it's sounds like it will be a stronger version of what was done for W FACE. Here for the nostalgic sound she's talking about.

Has anyone seen Kuu’s recent posts on Instagram where she is wearing a Canada shirt? Back-On performed in my city and I saw them (and met one of the memebers here :P). I got to meet Kenji a few times, and he signed my Back-On shirt twice! He also took pictures of Vas and I because we had some Kuu swag on us (mine was borrowed and made for an awkward exchange between Vas and I with a hand shake :laugh ), so Kuu knows we exist and now I can die happy. I just hope I don’t look fat in the picture Kenji showed Kuu XD

Well... I have myopia and astigmatism but I wear contact lenses and circle lenses (sometimes) and I don't have any ache or trouble. Obviously you have to take certain precautions and take care of the lenses (you know, hygiene above all).

And yes, the shot is great. In the last Koda Gumi magazine there's a back of the shot (sorry xD I don't remember right now the word for it XD) and I was in love with the first look *_* Kuu is always gorgeous :love

I really like the 'Violet glare' :luv2

KarenPang 1st June 2018 06:00 AM

Kuu looks fantastic in the latest photos in promoting loveil

My sister's friend said that she gave a shot in wearing loveil but unfortunately she said that they were not comfortable for her

So she switched to another brand , I forgot which 1 though

Everyone in my family wear glasses . Given a choice if somewhere down the line if I decide not to wear glasses anymore than I will go for Lasik

loveil wallpapers I managed to get from official site

:love

The 2nd & 3rd photos are my favourite

KuuXAyu-fan 1st June 2018 08:57 AM

I believe we saw Kuu in the black shirt around December-January before AND was released. Interesting how far in advance they shot this, I always wondered what it was for since it wasnt for AND lol. Makes you think if she already did the covers for DNA.

Corvina 1st June 2018 11:46 AM

In the press statement on her official site it says that the Loveil products sold over 90 million times now. That's impressive.

Thanks, Karen!
Gonna use my favourite one as my new phone background.

Btw. as I love the Tower of Terror shirt so much Kuu was wearing in Hiroshima last weekend, I've searched for it.
It's indeed a vintage one from 1994 and it glows in the dark as well.

No, 90 million contactlenses/packages sold.
Not consumers.
Most of Kuu's lenses are 1 day lenses after all.

The line was launched in 2012.
So that means more than 10 million sold every year.
Holy moly.
Such waste.

And the company says” holy moly such profit” :roflmao. All jokes aside, I wouldn’t buy it. One day lense, no way.

thinkingoutloud89 2nd June 2018 09:33 AM

^One day lenses are not uncommon and probably very cheap. these are no sight lenses, they are colored-ones to accompany a look. Colored-lenses usually don't last much longer.

Corvina 2nd June 2018 10:17 AM

Kuu's lenses are in the middle price range like pretty much all of her products (and they're circle lenses, not simple coloured contacts).
If you break it down, one contactlense is about 180 Yen, that's about 1.40 €/1.7 US$.
Three of the colours are also available as monthly lenses and you can also choose them with sight correction.
It all comes down to hygiene though, day lenses are better for that generally.

Well, I'm just happy for her, that whatever she chooses to produce outside of her music gets successful.
She is kind of a role model to me, how she was able to broaden her own brand and venture into the buisness market.

ahtka-chan 2nd June 2018 11:21 PM

That’s not bad at all, I’m glad she’s got some monthy lenses available. I would be really sad if one day lenses was all of it. I mean those colors are too beautiful for one day.

Yup exactly. I was so excited expecting a cellphone ballad with the whole grand ballad description lol.

Corvina 6th June 2018 02:49 PM

I don't have any expectations when it comes to Kuu, I just take it as it is.
I'm only not that excited when a ballad is announced, cause I'm an uptempo person.

But if the snippet from the studio she played yesterday in one of her stories is one of the new songs from DNA, I am overly excited about getting another hard hitting electronic song like XXX.

jiarongisme 7th June 2018 03:46 AM

I believe it started from hands, where the cellphone plays a huge part to the storyline in the PVs :laugh So it's stuff like Yume no Uta, Ai no Uta, you, stay with me, Suki dex3, etc. Hilarious.

First two Tokyo shows today.

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...923/ezxN1Q.png

Kuu got flowers from a lot of other artists like Ayu, TRF, Moumoon, Do As Infinity and....this time also from Namie Amuro.

Here are the 4 random message postcards you get, when you're in the FC for 3 years or longer:

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...921/Q1UJWU.png

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...923/PVF5C5.png

Got the pics from a nice Japanese fan in Kuu's facebook group.

voltron 9th June 2018 03:23 PM

They also gave those cards out to international KG members - I got one each date I went and am only a first year member.

Corvina 9th June 2018 03:52 PM

Ah, interesting.
Got two as well as I'm in my 7th year Japanese Koda Gumi already.

In fact they implemented a new system right before the tour to make it easier to spot and probably also to encourage FC members.
It's now a colour-coded system, divided after the years you're in the FC.
It's the new digital member card.

Fans under 3 years are colourless.
3-8 years are purple members.
9 and upwards are golden members.

I'm purple correspondingly.

https://imageshack.com/a/img924/377/l9t7J3.jpg

(censored my member number)

Btw. they also uploaded a 1 minute recording from LIT from last weekend (no selfie-camera, a normal recording) yesterday.
Plus all the small videos every week from the meet & greets from all dates and her circle forming with band members and dancers before the shows.
Don't know if any of those are going to be on the international one later (as the daily tour reports sadly aren't uploaded yet there as well).

Xianghua 9th June 2018 04:14 PM

I'm peeved that I let my Japanese club account expire and switched to overseas. :grumpy I'd be in my 5th year and I think the Japanese fanclub is ran better, for example they provide you with email updates which I don't get through the overseas. So, I always feel out of the loop.

I wish they had combined both fanclubs like they did with Ayu's. I was able to keep the same account when switching over.

Well, I kind of agree. they're slow with certain content to upload and there are no mails.
But don't forget that the Japanese is twice as expensive as the international one (2000 Yen a year is really cheap) and the international one combines playroom and Koda Gumi in content.
That's probably also the reason they can't combine the international one and the Japanese Koda Gumi - playroom needs a separate account in Japan.
They try to be somewhat fair I guess.

Xianghua 9th June 2018 04:51 PM

I actually didn't know they combined with playroom! I always assumed it was separate like the Japanese fan club so I never checked, hmm.

I know it's cheaper but I just thought they might have prorated the fee since we don't get freebies or physical copies of the magazine.

Still, it would be nice to have universal content uploaded between the two sites. Sometimes I feel like we're in separate fan worlds :yredface

YAY good to know that a Zeep date is recorded as well.

New song registered:

I guess this one will make the cut, since its a Toby Gab song (Boom Boom Boys; TOUCH DOWN; VIP) and usually the song with the tag "japanese version" is one of those who gets release.

I wonder what the point is of recording both dates since the setlist is pretty much the same. Hope we get the Zepp version for the DNA FC DVD!

OMG Chances is co-written by Tulisa? Random but I'll go with it!

Kuu posted in her stories, that she's learning choreographies for new songs from DNA today.
Interestingly she also points out that this is the part of her work she dislikes the most.

If the Zepp version is going to be included on DNA FC edition it means we will only get a crappy DVD rip, not Bluray :weep I wonder what they will do with a Live House version and a Zepp tour version though. I was thinking maybe one is indeed for DNA fc edition and the other one for a '''special''' release with DNA hall tour (her usual yearly dvd/bluray tour release)

Also it seems that the Sukkiri Live was in fact recorded in HD, just that fans ain't sharing it on the net.. instead they are giving away a fanmade bluray lmao

I hope kinot will upload the ts file sooner or later :'(

I think she dislike learning choreographies because it might be the part that doesn't come "naturally" for her, unlike writing and singing. It can be frustrating sometimes, for sure.

They will show the festival again this friday, so maybe someone could record this time - http://www.nitteleplus.com/program/m..._live2018.html

Since BLACKPINK's part is out in HD, I think the whole thing was recorded as usual.

One choreography from today is for a new PV.
They released a short video on playroom now (without audio).
Koda Kumi Germany uploaded it:

Great, the album release may not be that far then! (Or maybe even that summer single stuff is real, but I doubt it). If there's gonna another LP sized edition of it, the sooner the announce it the better for me :P

The choreography is very 2005ish, reminds me of Heat and No Tricks, with a lot of hand movements. I love it so far!

They're perfectly in time for what they announced.
Back in December they shot PARTY PV and we got AND February 28th. So if they're shooting the new PV next week after AND Tour ended, end of August/ early September as release date fits.

Lottery results for DNA Tour are out and so we got some more info about the tickets.
The video tickets have a code on the back you gonna apply online. Then you can watch 30 minutes of performances from that day you went to ( chosen performances can vary). They're uploaded the same day or the day after the concert.
Those video tickets are prohibited to resale.
Kinot already said he's gonna try and rip the ones he's going to, but shhh.

I woke up this morning with IS THIS TRAP? stuck in my head. I don't even have this song (I have no clue why not, other than I was in a downturn of my fandom of her when it came out), but it must have been because I watched the Bon Voyage tour the other day. I've probably listened to it like 30 times today. :laugh
