You and I both! She kept the Lawson envelope sealed so I could open it myself :laugh

Guess I'll have to wait for it to arrive!

I would love to see inside Kuu's closet.

thinkingoutloud89 28th September 2019 12:54 AM

I'm looking for a rip of the so nice performance from the Japonesque Tour. Or on upload or something. I just found one in low quality.

A new feature for the Koda Kumi x Jankara campaign!

To celebrate having re(LIVE) tour in Fukuoka, they added re(LIVE) photo backgrounds at the venue.
If you make photos with those backgrounds and share them on any social media, you get a 1,000 Yen voucher you can use in a Jankara karaoke bar in Fukuoka!

Jankara also posted on social media that they're restocking the goods, but only in Fukuoka.
Fans are promptly asking to do that in other cities as well.
I think they're probably doing Fukuoka first, cause of the tour.

And maybe an interesting info for those people going to the tour:
Fans are still reporting on social media, that the queue for the tour goods at the venue is quite long and they need about 2 hours to buy goods (in Kawasaki as well as today in Fukuoka).

jiarongisme 28th September 2019 06:10 PM

^ Thanks for the heads up on the goods queue! Guess I'll head there earlier!

So I got the ticket! Not what I wanted - 3 floor 5th row, but I shall not complain! I'm happy to be able to see Kuu in the first place. Hope I get more luck with getting a Black Cherry ticket at the resellers.

sitara 29th September 2019 09:53 PM

does anybody know where I can find the behind the scenes of the black cherry tour with the water tank? I mean the short clip where you can see Kumi get into the tank from behind; when the show starts (where the audience can't see her.)

To my knowledge it is not on the black cherry tour DVD (making of) although they show plenty of the tank there. What I'm looking for was on another release, coupled with many random clips, idk anymore. hopefully someone can help out!

Today Sky Perfect broadcasted the Aomori digest, and this was the setlist:

Megumi no Hito
HOT HOT
IS THIS TRAP

So no Summer Time, Ai no Uta or Livin' La Vida Loca. I don't even feel like finishing the download of the show. lol

thinkingoutloud89 30th September 2019 01:30 AM

so i finished the picture I want to give to her as a present. I made so many mistakes in the beginning that I hate it now. i kinda rescued it a lot with the background. usually faces are my strong-point. I don't know what happened. But since I#m leaving for Japan in 3 days, i don't have time to redo the whole thing. Maybe I can spot oit when she films her gift-boxes.

Sure!
I’m sorry to say, but I never actually watched the original Japonesque, and Black Cherry was so long ago I only remember the fish tank ^^;

I’ve been keeping off this thread because I wanted to be surprised, so I don’t know how much you’ve read from other fans, but:

Spoiler:

Goods: I got there at 10 when they opened and the line was already around the building. I waited about 40 minutes and all the shirts had already sold out!

JAPONESQUE:
The opening was typical Japanese scenery with the red bridges, her outfit was that of the promo pics. At the end of So Nice there were projections of fireworks on the ceiling, it was very beautiful. D.D.D had a new arrangement.

KO-SO-KO-SO they brought audience members up, and they actually TIED them to the stage props and Kuu danced up on them! :laugh I would die!

For one of the ballads (I can’t believe I don’t remember which song) her dress was basically made out of a big screen, she was raised up on a platform and they had projections on her dress, like in THE ARTIST.

Interlude movie: It was Strip, I like it a lot and has an urban sound. The movie had 2 kuu’s dressed in the past Japonesque outfit and present. They were facing each other while singing.

New tracks: Get Naked is pretty cool, performance with light sticks. The candy song (k?) used the exercise balls that Kuu posted on Instagram about the new MV. Livin la Vida Loca was half English and half in Japanese. OMG was pretty intense, Kuu balanced on top of her dancer in the air (tissue dance)

Encore + ending: The dancers taught us how to dance to part of Put Your Hands Up. At the end she faced the white screen so you could only see her shadow, she undressed and jumped into the “water.” Then the movie leading to black cherry was her swimming in the ocean.

BLACK CHERRY:
Opened with the movie of her swimming, and then she jumped out of the fish tank. the set was a pirate ship and it was so cool! The part I loved was the giant pirate flag with the skull that slowly changed into her face. Then there were other effects like smoke rings in the shape of cannon balls. Also was a part where she pours a drink for the pirates, and the glasses start smoking. She flipped the bottle prop in the air and was suppose to catch it, but she missed and it fell onto the floor :laugh

Cutie Honey had a Jazz-ish arrangement.
Heat: the talking skull on the screen was explaining they were looking for the golden key. The audience members were brought up and they sat in chairs.

Ballads: she was in a princess type dress and the stage added street lamps.

Twinkle: was the Japanese version. They played the video in the background. Was nice to see younger Kuu!

Interlude video: New song, no idea of the name. I liked it and it seemed to have a little urban vibe as well. Video was like from Japonesque but with the pirate costume.

The latter part of the show was the same as before.

Ending: the lead in movie to Japonesque was Kuu opening a door, cherry blossom petals flowing out, and Kuu going through the door. Then, it said “See you at the arena tour” (!!!) (The end of the Japonesque show it just said “see you at the next show”)

And there you have it! :D

@thinkingoutloud: I think Kuu will love it! I wouldn’t be surprised if she features it in her Instagram story.

Woah sounds like a nice update! Thanks for the report :) It sounds like you had a really good time.

I can't wait to go, I hope the shirts won't be sold out by the time I'm there!

Diva_br 30th September 2019 06:54 PM

So... there's not much difference between the original and the new The important part is the second half for the new songs and vídeos (ar least for the review of Xianghua)

Too bad it's third floor, but there are fans with FC tickets having 3rd floor as well.
You gonna have a great time nevertheless! :)

^ Yeah, but also, I went to look out for how the view would be like for the third floor and it's really not all that bad!

so I don't want to be annoying, just double-checking:

I got my ticket via livepocket. I just go to the venue at 12:30 (it starts at 13:30) and exchange via my phone by showing the barcode and my passport right?

chocopockymaster 2nd October 2019 02:39 PM

We’re in the 15th row on the first floor, dead center! :heart

And I’m SUPER pleased our ticket designs were the same as the fan club tickets; having never used LivePocket before I didn’t know what to expect but I’m so happyyyyyy

You won your tickets through the global FC, didn't you?
Those are FC tickets, even if they use LivePocket for that.
Have a lot of fun!

Kuu's July 20th a-nation 2019 digest performance at Aomori

https://www.bilibili.com/video/av69531798

BS Fuji aired roughly about 12-13 mins per for some artiste's performance digest sets from both Aomori & Fukuoka dates :s

DA PUMP's a-nation 2019 performance digest at Aomori was less than 9 mins

chocopockymaster 2nd October 2019 07:09 PM

I can’t even fucking believe what just happened to me.

So the show was great, it was my first time seeing her in a hall as opposed to a stadium or arena, and her energy was AMAZING.

On a whim my sister and I entered the venue through the line you were meant to wait in if you wanted to be entered for the post-show lottery where you could have your picture taken on stage (no Kuu included). I figured it didn’t hurt to wait in line a bit longer but didn’t even remotely bank on winning.

Except I did? They chose ten attendees at random and posted the seat numbers in the lobby so you could see if you were chosen as everyone was exiting the venue and I legit thought I was going to die of shock when I saw my seat number.

One of the winners didn’t show so the staff took nine of us backstage (there was one other foreigner there; AHS didn’t come up in conversation but holler if you’re reading this!) and we got to go have our picture taken one by one. They were already starting to dismantle it as this was the last Fukuoka show but it was a fun novelty thing to do I guess.

I was third in line, and the staff showed each of us out of the hall when we were done with our photos so I made my way back up to where my sister was waiting. Honestly I didn’t love my pictures but I was joking about it with the staff and such

AND THEN

THE AFOREMENTIONED FOREIGNER, WHO WAS BEHIND ME IN LINE

comes out and says “I’m so sorry for what I’m about to tell you but just as I was leaving after my pictures Kumi came out to see everyone and shake their hands”

You guys. I fucking sobbed. Every other person behind me in line got one on one time with her and when I saw the staff member that had originally taken us down to the stage I hurried over and asked if she was still there only for him to be like, “Nope.”

And that’s the story of how one person can simultaneously have the best and worst luck in the world. I’m still not over it and probably never will be. TT_____TT

They're going to record the re(LIVE) dates 10/12 and 10/13 in Osaka for the DVD release:

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/6...923/2hgC69.png

Quote:

Kuu and her team are asking everyone to only use the official re(LIVE) lightsticks - especially this time, cause they're remotely controlled.

Don't know how long cutting and editing a tour DVD takes, but maybe it's a possibility that we're getting it on November 13, like re(CORD)?

Gustavopc 3rd October 2019 07:54 PM

I think it's very unlikely we'll get it that soon... From what I remember it usually takes three to five months for her concerts to be released after filming, might take a little less since it's a hall tour but it's also a double concert, so I'm expecting a release in 2020. It'd be cool to pair it with a Best :P

Xianghua 4th October 2019 06:25 AM

Oh nooo chocopockymaster so devastating!!

For the DVD filming- I hope they know that many of the light sticks start glitching out. Some people’s flickered off when it wasn’t suppose to, some stopped changing colors, mine even turned green when everyone else's turned purple :P

kaled kalil 4th October 2019 08:22 AM

@Gustavopc But it takes less time for them to broadcast the concert, when it's quite close to the final cut. It can happen in a month if they prepare beforehand, but it might not be the best that they can do. FANTASIA's TV cut was okay, and it took a week for the editing (between the live performance and the WOWOW footage). Of course the DVD was better, but it can happen. I wouldn't count on that but who knows.

I hope her voice is fine during the recording. Four shows in two days is a lot.

Do you guys think they will release STRIP next week? Rika starts this weekend, we will get part of the song from the episode, but it would be nice if it happens next wednesday.

Corvina 4th October 2019 12:29 PM

STRIP will probably be the next digital single.
It's three weeks till the tour is over and six weeks till the album release.
Going to be interesting to see if they gonna release the last singles back to back or with a 2 weeks gap.

I know 1 month is not much time to put together a live DVD(Gustavo is right, DNA Tour e.g. was 4 months between recording and release), but it just struck me as odd they'd record dates in the middle of the tour and not the finals and it's exactly a month before the new album drops. :laugh

Apparently Kuu and her team got reports of fans misbehaving/not following the rules at the venue in Kawasaki and Fukuoka.
Kuu doesn't mention what exactly went wrong apart from people not following the instructions of her staff and the security guards (tho last year with DNA Tour e.g. people in the first few rows didn't stay at their seats and try to run forward to the stage to try to high-five with Kuu - which is why for later dates they had warnings in the front rows not to do that for safety purposes).
She does apologize if there are fans feeling she'd prefer certain fans over others, cause that was never her attention. She wants everybody coming to her shows to enjoy them from start to finish and cherishes the support of everyone. And only together this is possible.

I honestly have mixed feelings about stuff like this.
And it does remind me of boygroup/girlgroup fan behaviour, like e.g. Hey! Say! Jump!'s fans who even managed to get the last arena tour cancelled because of stuff like that.

She says she didn't even plan to preorder the album at the venue, but for whatever reason she did - and won!
Great somebody filmed it. :laugh

KarenPang 4th October 2019 12:41 PM

Bad behaviour tends to be present in any celebrity's fandom it depends if you are lucky or unlucky in experiencing it

For Hey Say JUMP , their hod of fans disrupted the public transport services & the Shinkansen was not spared either , same thing happened with King & Prince's fans' antics

This year was so bad until HSJ cancelled their annual Summer domestic tour and they'll be performing at Taipei Arena this weekend instead which the last time they performed in Taiwan was in 2012

Due to this , Japanese fans put the unfair blame squarely verbally online on Taiwanese fans =_=

Anyway I hope Kuu will not let a few rotten apples in the fandom stop her from finishing the re(LIVE) tour month end successfully

Also if Kuu wanted to show favouritism she would have picked people backstage in advance , not on the spot :s

Damn, lucky her. Knowing my luck it is very unlikely that I’d win anything even if I pre-ordered 20 copies. Do you get to draw more than once if you pre-order more than one copy tho? You also mentioned before that you get a chance for meet and greet if you get those gold card & key right?

I knew they’d record October 12 & 13 dates.

chocopockymaster man, it really sucks that you didn’t get to meet her. I’m glad you at least got to enjoy the concert.

Ah, no, the gold key/cards are for the lucky girl/boy segment at the concerts (being invited on stage).
Plus a 2nd random person with a black key/card around their neck.
And I actually don't know with the drawing as I never did it myself and I haven't checked the terms & conditions for it.

Uh, that actually sounds really good, much better than the first preview we got!

-----------------------------

Kuu recorded today for the album again and she says she's done now, though there's still a lot to do.
She also showed us a preview of the FC edition photobook. Looks like it's off-shots from album recording, PV shootings and so on this time.

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/3...923/NaZWDs.pnghttps://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/3...923/IPTxPK.png

She mentions it's 27 pages this time and also says it's more than last time, but she made a mistake then, cause AND/DNA had 32 pages each.
On the other hand she says in the hashtags, that this is only a first draft and there are a lot of photos to choose from, we should wait till there are more details announced.
So maybe this is still going to change.

I’m in Osaka! Already bought my goods and surprisingly there was close to no waiting time! I think maybe because it’s the second day of the Osaka show but I got there at the time the merch booths open and I didn’t have to wait that long. Now I’m just chilling out in a nearby cafe before waiting for the doors to open. Shall try for the after show stage photo taking lottery!

thinkingoutloud89 10th October 2019 07:35 PM

nice! I‘m in Osaka too, but got tickets for Saturday. Hipe it dies not get. cancelled. Have u seen the gift boxes for Kumi. And when does the merch sale start. I already got mine but was thinking about getting more.

ALfromHELLSING 10th October 2019 09:50 PM

I’m in Osaka as well. I came across a few global fans but none of them said that they are on any online boards.

It was my first time ever attending her tour and all I can say it was unreal, out of this world, best thing ever & so much more. Worth every yen I paid for it. My brain is still trying to process that this actually happened. Might take a while. KUUEEN OF LIVE. One & Only. ❤️

After show lottery wasn’t really a lottery, at the end of the concert they just post the lucky numbers. No actual lottery or draw.

I also tried to pre order re(CORD) to get a chance for the meet & greet but you have to be a Japanese FC member, global FC membership doesn’t count.

The gift box is right at the entrance past the goods stands, next to a column. Just ask one of the staff if you can’t find it but it’s hard to miss. There are 2 small blue boxes. One of them is for Kuu-chan and another one is for the dancers.

You can find the timings where the goods sale will start on the re(LIVE) Website. That said, I went at the time it opened since there were so many reports of super long queues but then when I went there were no queues at all! I bought both JAPONESQUE shirts, duffel bag, the JAPONESQUE light, and 3 pins.

It’s unlikely that the typhoon’s impact will be super strong in Osaka, it’s forecasted to just have heavy rains due to that as the course of the typhoon isn’t headed towards Osaka at all. I think it’s pretty safe.

The concert was so much fun, the way that she’s updated the performances made it feel like they’re refreshing and not recycled at all. The new costumes are generally better upgrades too, though I’m not that huge of a fan of the KO-SO-KO-SO one.

I’ll post a full report when I have time, but if not I’ll wait till I’m back home in Singapore, my itinerary’s packed! :laugh

Overall just a really good time and I really really hope I can find a Black Cherry ticket now because I left the show wanting seconds. Her voice did sound a bit tired though, I hope it recovers by the DVD recording!

thinkingoutloud89 11th October 2019 05:53 AM

You can but 60% of them were already sold out yesterday, I was passing by it so I got more magnets. At least at Namba location. You can check Umeda as well, it’s not too far from Namba. I went at
10am on the day they were restocked and everything was there except for the bag.

I’ll try to go karaoke again before I leave if I have time since I got the coupon at the venue. This will be my 3rd time, I just can’t enough. lol I’d recommend Namba room to anyone who wants to go, cause it is designed with single, album & DVD covers. Umeda one has KLOOP design, which is cute but not nearly as awesome.

thinkingoutloud89 11th October 2019 01:10 PM

hmm so I can just go in. I try both. I‘m close to either

chocopockymaster 11th October 2019 01:43 PM

omg they cancelled the show on the 12th? I’m shocked; I wasn’t expecting the typhoon to have that kind of an impact in Osaka

Corvina 11th October 2019 01:54 PM

Shows on Saturday are cancelled.
Typhoon 19 is one of the strongest typhoons in recent years (equivalent to a hurrican category 5), so even if it doesn't hit Osaka directly, it does affect public transportation and safety.
Performances on 10/13 and 10/14 are planned to go as scheduled for now.
They ask to look for further announcements regarding replacement dates and/or ticket refunding on her official site and social media in due time.

thinkingoutloud89 11th October 2019 03:17 PM

I told you they would cancel my day. I‘m so sad I can‘t even pur in words. The only reason I‘m another night in Osaka :/

thinkingoutloud89 11th October 2019 03:33 PM

you think I can bring my present to the venue pn sunday at least?

jiarongisme 11th October 2019 08:34 PM

I’m so sorry about the cancellation :( Yes, the goods area is public so you can leave your gift there.

I think they’re concerned about the inter-prefecture travels as well. Also, Osaka is still really calm in terms of the typhoon which is why I was quite confident - still warm and sunny! It’s also a very different case for my friend in Tokyo now where it’s sort of where the typhoon would hit the worst tomorrow followed by Chiba.

thinkingoutloud89 12th October 2019 06:32 AM

yeah it is still okay here. I can understand it somehow, does not make it better tho lol

Edit: Osaka hates me - all resellers closed early. I have a BC lightstick to sell now. Anybody interested?

AL was that you at Muji?

If that guy was covered in KK merchandise, wearing JAPONESQUE long sleeve t-shirt and said “Koda Kumi Forever“ then yes, it was me. lol Did you say:”oh it’s the same t-shirt”? I wanted to stop by & chat but it was a crazy day for me and I was in a big rush.

I’ll now be in Osaka for 2 additional days due to the typhoon. My Japanese friend told me that there’s a Koda Kumi themed party at JACK IN THE BOX club tonight at 9pm. I might go check it out.

I dropped of my present this morning, hope she gets it. The que was long, it kinda made me sad I couldn’t attend in the end.

edit: she posted todays presents and mine wasn’t there :(

kaled kalil 14th October 2019 03:39 AM

Sad to hear the news for the cancelled date. :(

It seems that the recording for today happen as planned (https://www.instagram.com/p/B3kRXdipVni/ https://www.instagram.com/p/B3kIveBgwNS/ ) you can see cameras here and there, and that "line" in front of the stage, for the camera to go from side to side I imagine.

No news reports yet. Maybe they'll wait for the end of the tour to do the reports and all.

That really sucks :( I'm sure they don't post all of them. Since there was a cancelled concert, a lot of people probably gave gifts that were planning to go and they just chose a selection quickly to take a photo of. She'll definitely get it since it was a specified box.

Xianghua 14th October 2019 02:47 PM

Koda Gumi is reporting that STRIP will be released on subscription services this Wednesday the 16th.

Gustavopc 14th October 2019 06:49 PM

So sorry about the cancelled concert, that sounds so terrible ):

---

Edit: Just read about STRIP coming out this Wednesday. Since it's less than a month now for the album (WHERE ARE THE COVERS GIRL??) I'm seriously thinking of not listening to it until the whole thing comes out. I already got bored of Eh Yo and DO ME, OMG is going down the same route, Summer Time never really clicked to me... Just GOLDFINGER and Put Your Hands Up! still sounds fresh to me tbh. I'm afraid I'll be already over this album when it comes out :(

chocopockymaster 15th October 2019 01:47 AM

STRIP IS A FUCKING BOP TBH hold out if you can...I still can’t deal with how gorgeous she looked in the dual-JAPONESQUE-Kumi vid they played during the song at the concert. And for the scenes where she’s in a box, the outfit looks almost identical to the nude dress with sparkles that she wore during Dance In The Rain at the WOML tour.

@thinking I’m so, so sorry you didn’t get a chance to go. :( Hope the rest of your trip is filled with awesome an fun fun experiences!

kaled kalil 15th October 2019 03:53 AM

STRIP's cover:

That font and color choice... Omg haha

@Gustavopc this is what happened to me during TRICK's release. She was playing all the songs that were interesting during her OH MY RADIO show and, when the album was out, I didn't care about the rest of the album. I would recommend to not overplay them, if possible.

pommy48 15th October 2019 04:28 AM

Did they not have any other pictures from that shoot?? :laugh

I know this is on Baidu, but there's actually no cover out yet on her FCs. So I guess this is fanmade?
But probably not going to be so different in the end, rofl.

The 2nd part of the big 20th anniversary survey started on the Japanese Koda Gumi.
It covers the middle part of her career, BUT single till Love Me Back single (or Kingdom till JAPONESQUE for albums, 2008 - 2012).
Questions are a bit different this time:
- a song that brightens your mood?
- a song you wanna hear live?
- a song you wanna listen to when in love?
- the song you sing the most often at Karaoke?
- a song you recommend to somebody who doesn't know her?
- your favourite PV?
- your favourite cover?

Survey ends October 20.

Corvina 15th October 2019 01:23 PM

Wohoo, just like the CDL last year, they've decided to live stream the two final shows of re(LIVE) tour!

Info
https://rhythmzone.net/koda/news/detail.php?id=1077561

Live stream site
https://koda.relive.mu-mo.net/

1 day costs 2,700 Yen, both days 5,000 Yen.

-----------------------------

Also, general sale for JAPONESQUE re(CUT) in November started.
Tickets are also available from overseas with an English site!
https://ticket.yahoo.co.jp/special/c...nparkosaka/en/

Gustavopc 15th October 2019 02:23 PM

The cover unfortunately is official, they uploaded it to Koda Gumi alongisde a preview of the song.

kaled kalil 15th October 2019 02:58 PM

You can also re(WATCH) the performances later.

Black Cherry performance 10/25 (Fri) 12:00 (noon) ~ 10/27 (Sun) 23:59
JAPONESQUE performance 10/26 (Sat) 12:00 (noon) ~ 10/28 (Mon) 23:59

I'm not so sure I'll be able to record the concert this time around. To watch both dates you pay almost the same price for the CD+Blu-ray version of re(CORD), and even for a single concert it's even more expensive than the CDL. If someone gets it and is willing to share, I could record it. lol

STRIPs PV is out: https://youtu.be/-zAGNIsO50U

KarenPang 15th October 2019 08:38 PM

I like the 3 different looks Kuu has in STRIP -Otona no Tsuchi Drama Rika edit- PV preview

But seeing her rap in the 2 kimonos get up against herself felt a bit strange to me

I don't know what to think about STRIP preview for now . I will have a better opinion of it once I hear the full song

I’m. In. Love. Best one so far from the new album

Gustavopc 15th October 2019 11:41 PM

Couldn't resist cause of the positive feedback on the song/video and I FREAKING LOOOOOVE IT, sounds so polished and the bridge pre-chorus is so good. Can't wait for the full thing!

Corvina 16th October 2019 11:06 AM

Interesting that they share the interlude movie as promo for the tie-in. They make it clear in title and description though.

STRIP is a very interesting song, great sensual instrumental and atmosphere. Really like it cause the song takes its time to unfold (Kuu's rap, too).

It costs the same as the CDL if you buy both concerts though.
Making the single ones 200 Yen more expensive is a simple business decision as they want people to watch both. But 200 Yen is not much anyway.

And we don't know yet how they will release re(LIVE) on DVD. Might be they sell both concerts seperately while also offering a bundle of both...

kaled kalil 16th October 2019 05:22 PM

^ I know.

STRIP is great! The rap part doesn't bother me and the pre chorus and chorus are so good. I wish all these singles had instrumentals available as well, just like HUSH / LIT / NEVER ENOUGH.

chocopockymaster 17th October 2019 02:07 AM

I just need to hear the full version again and have it on hand so I can blast the everloving shit out if it while I’m driving lol

I’m reslly glad they’re using the interlude video as the PV; she looks so stunning it deserves to be more widely circulated than it would be if it was just s bonus on the concert DVD

Ayu_Love 17th October 2019 03:33 PM

I've really liked all the new singles so far, but I adore STRIP. It has such big d*ck energy vibes, lol.

kaled kalil 18th October 2019 04:02 AM

Kumi posted new pictures from a new PV, she said that it's coming soon.

Here's something weird: they uploaded STRIP in her own youtube channel, only the audio. I know her music is available there though Youtube Music Premium, but I wonder why STRIP is available to everyone. Maybe it's just a mistake.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GL44aI32X5w

minkAYuko 18th October 2019 07:24 AM

^ that's weird indeed. I mean other artists do it, rarely avex. I'm glad they did this. maybe some promotion? let's all share it!

That's odd indeed

And sorry I know I said in my previous post in the last page that I wasn't feeling the STRIP preview

But the full version of the song is pretty kick ass . I think the PV preview kinda spoilt things for me a bit x)

Must be the same PV as with the exercise balls, cause of that wallpaper preview playroom already got for October I shared some time ago:

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/6...921/iCYp6A.png

Also fits the candies theme the song has at the tour (colourful = sweet, black = bitter as Kuu posted on Insta).

jiarongisme 18th October 2019 02:32 PM

Okay! I'm back home from Japan and finally had the time to write down everything.

Spoiler:
So as mentioned earlier, after touching down in Osaka and dropping off my luggage at my Airbnb, I headed straight to the concert venue expecting a super long queue due to earlier reports on how the queues for the first 2 days can take up to 2 hours. But to my surprise, there wasn't queue at all! There were 4 counters open, and each had maybe 1 person in line so I didn't have to wait long till I got my goods.

https://i.imgur.com/LkEUaB5.jpg?1

https://i.imgur.com/dkXs8Vt.jpg

I roamed around the area after that and tried to get a Black Cherry ticket with a reseller around the area but no luck :( And no luck with other resellers as well. OH WELL.

https://i.imgur.com/6bVEuZH.jpg?1

Anyway, fast forward to the show. I joined the queue to go for the post-show stage photo but I guess I wasn't as lucky as chocopockymaster hahaha. I went to my seat and was very happy to see that the view was actually really great! I got a nice full view of the stage at a pretty nice angle. It's not like I was looking into her scalp or anything so that's great.

https://i.imgur.com/Rvwnfn3.jpg

Pre-show
While waiting for the show to start, they played the Rugby World Cup CM every now and then with Eh Yo as the song. And then, the lights dimmed but not completely. The lights on stage turned red and the animation on the curtain started to change - there were more petals flying across the screen. After a few minutes, the hall went dark and the curtains raised.

00. Introduction〜JAPONESQUE〜
Similar animation as the original tour, but instead of a dragon, it's a phoenix. No pyrotechnics though.

01 So Nice feat. Mr.Blistah
Kuu appeared from behind the screen and was slowly moving forward. Outfit wise, yes, it's the same as the promo photo. Because we didn't get the runway, there's a section of the stage that goes up and down just like in the original show, but she moved left to right instead of forwards. Still really beautiful. Towards the final chorus, there were projections of fireworks on the ceiling. Really cool.

02 D.D.D.
03 情熱
04 愛を止めないで

Same as original, D.D.D. had the Japanese arrangement as well. No MC before Ai wo Tomenaide.

05 さよならの向う側
If you saw the stage photos previously, there's a tiny bit that protudes out at the front of the stage with a circle cut out. That's the elevating platform that was used for this song. So she did change into another flowy dress just like in the original show. However, instead of just fabric flying around, it was stretched out to cover the length of the stage. Because the dress then becomes a canvas to do really beautiful projections - similar to you from The Artist. It really sets a very nice mood for the performance.

06 KO-SO-KO-SO
As you may already know from her previous IG story, the lucky boy lucky girl rap got updated. There's still the lucky boy lucky girl bit, but there's also a chant for "gold card gold card". So what they did was to get someone with the regular card and someone with the gold card. It took a while for them to look for the one with the gold card, the dancers were getting kinda tired trying to look for that person :laugh They brought them both up on stage eventually. Both of them were lucky girls for the 10/10 show. Following that, Kuu appeared. Not that much of a fan of the updated outfit for this - it's essentially if they fused the lingerie-looking dress and the flowy outer layer together. It's a deeper blue, and the sleeves are long and more tube like (obviously great at describing it). But I prefer the original. Choreography and staging generally stayed the same. Kuu chose the girl with the gold card, and the curtain was coming down as the song was ending.

Interlude
The dancers came out and there were some really cool projections with the dancers interacting with them - similar to W FACE tour. There was sort of a play on duality on the old and modern along with some Japanese themes.

07 V.I.P. feat. T-Pain
No more horrible neon jelly beans swim suit! It was a stronger more stark white/silvery outfit with a black jacket if I remember correctly. She let her long hair down and pushed her hair back as well. Waaay better than the original. Choreography and staging stayed the same.

08 ピンク スパイダー
No interaction with the LED screen at the back. She went into the cage in the middle of the song openly (instead of in the dark as a surprise). Towards the end, she actually broke free and stood on top of the cage while the cage floated around the set! Really really cool. Loved it.

09 ESCALATE
10 Slow feat. Omarion

Stayed largely the same

There wasn't an interlude video/dance here. The costume change was REALLY fast. It was about a minute or less - the instrumentation of Slow went on a little bit longer and transitioned to Koishikute.

11 恋しくて
12 Brave
13 IN THE AIR

Just stood there to sing or walking around. The outfit I felt wasn't an improvement of the original 90's princess with that horrible wig, but I feel that it's an edited version of the blue mermaid princess dress in the Bon Voyage tour instead. It's like 90% the same :laugh

Interlude (STRIP)
Basically the PV that was released recently, but for the full song. It's a pretty cool concept. Forgot how the thing ended though.

14 GET NAKED(※新曲)
It's cool as a hype song but I didn't like it all that much. Kinda forgot the outfit but her hair was similar to the one she had during the dance break in the GOLDFINGER 2019/Livin' La Vida Loca PV. She and her dancers were doing choreography with giant neon light tubes.

15 DO ME(※新曲)
A really fun song live! I think most of the song was lipped.

16 K(※新曲)
It's a cutesy song but with an urban beat. Actually quite a refreshing twist to her usual cutesy songs. I enjoyed it! It's the candy shop song, and at one point the screen was showing a giant gumball machine, and the gumballs of the corresponding colours from the screen popped out from under the screen and then Kuu and the dancers danced with it. The stamina on this woman is amazing because she was basically doing a whole work out while singing and interacting with her other dancers. Super fun.

17 Eh Yo(※新曲)
18.Livin' La Vida Loca~GOLDFINGER 2019(※新曲)

Like what you'd expect. Both songs are really fun live, singing along and all.

19 OMG(※新曲)
So the aerial silks came down, and then a dancer went onto it, and then she went on top of the dancer. And then she did the tissue dance. Amazing to view it irl. Towards the end of the song, there was actually gold confetti falling down. Really really cool. Great hype song to end the main part of the concert. No towel spinning.

ENCORE
The pre-encore sing along for 10/10 was Brave. The lady beside me had a very nice singing voice. The little segment before the encore was fun. It was Kloop talking in a Japanese garden, and then the camera was pointing towards specific audience members while Kloop was giving instructions on what to do (blow a kiss, do a funny face, wave to the camera, etc.) They got a middle-aged man to do a blowing kiss and Kloop went "gross..." :laugh It then transitioned to Kloop asking whether everyone was ready for the encore, and the dancers came out and taught everyone how to do the Put Your Hands Up!!! dance.

20 プチョヘンザッ!!!(※新曲)
Again, really fun live with all the dancing along.

MC
About 10 minutes long. Didn't understand much Japanese, but the beginning section she talked about the typhoon, Osaka, and then addressed some fan messages. One of the fans mentioned that she liked Love Technique and then she quickly sang this bit "Love technique baby love technique/Baby love love love love/Shiage no kiss ne". And then she gave a tear jerker speech, thanking everyone for supporting her and expressing gratitude as she goes into her 20th anniversary. Along with some things that I couldn't understand - probably something about going for your dreams, being yourself, etc.

21 walk
At the end of walk, she walked up to the screen which was all white, and then she strips down and took off her bra, just like the end of the second sessions tour. Then she jumps down into the bottom of the stage, and then they showed mermaid Kuu in the water video. It's a newly filmed video though. And then it ends with SEE YOU NEXT ARENA TOUR.

https://i.imgur.com/SiR9Own.jpg

Overall, really really great show. I think her voice sounded quite tired though. Some of her bad habits were showing like dragging the notes unnecessarily in the ballads and all that stuff. The light sticks that change colour was really great, and it really fit the atmosphere of each of the performances. Loved it. However, the JAPONESQUE fan wasn't very ergonomic - it hurts quite a bit after a while! But overall, solid solid concert. I had so much fun and it was really great. I'm so happy that I managed to go for a show.

Ayu_Love 18th October 2019 03:52 PM

^ Thank you for the pictures and info! I'm really looking forward to seeing this tour! I've been waiting for some snapshots of the live so we can see outfits like we got for DNA, but they don't seem to have done any yet.

I really hope YesAsia puts the Japonesque jumpers up for sale. I really don't want to miss out on one like I did with the W FACE denim jacket. :( I so wish I could still get that jacket.

Gustavopc 18th October 2019 05:42 PM

Thanks a lot for the pics and review! Seems like it was such an amazing experience, I'm happy for you!!

A bit off-topic, but I just realized STRIP reminds me a lot of some CHANMINA songs, does anyone here know her?
