I don't mind those live tracklists. It's free and people who watch it live enjoy commenting on it so if you ask me there can be more of those. It's an effortless thing that will make some folks happy and a few websites write about her :)

I enjoy the chat aspect of the live premier. I hate that we can’t comment on her vids. I get it, she gets hate comments. But come on, so does every other artist lol. It basically stops other fans from interacting due to the small group of haters.

I hope RAINBOW, Dolls, TO BE, YOU and ASFXX are from TA Tour 2003 so I can snatch them in 1080p. it would make sense since she was promoting A BALLADS at the time.

We are the Queens is definitely one of Ayu's most underrated songs... so good

I want a ballads rereleased so those glorious remixes can be remastered, as well as Rainbow.

It's actually the only song I like on TROUBLE. WORDS is okay.

Watch her instead release a special box with all her best albums, including those digital ones. :mischief

It’s funny because I’ve similar taste as her !! Most of these songs are on my phone lol
She is such a big fan of Globe and TK ... isn’t she ? lol and I’m even more happy because that’s not their most popular songs.
Unlike other artist playlists Ayu only choose Japanese songs and none are recent I’m pretty sure she don’t even pay attention to current music lol

OMG!! I never really watched it till the end because its such a cringy performance (the hair, the lipsync, the odd medley) but I never saw that she actually sings Boys & Girls in Korean!!!! That was cool (and explains thelipsync too) lol

Honestly, I don't really know if that's what she said... if anyone wants to pick at it again, the answer she gave at the time was not that specific. The question itself was also specifically about her music but then she gave a very vague only somewhat related answer.

Basically it looks like what she said was something like music can often remind her too much of work, but the context of the answer isn't really clear either.

I actually love this performance, no joke. haha She's living her pop singer fantasy there dancing the whole songs, lip syncing a la Britney, and she looks so happy. That's one of the reasons I love Evolution from Asia 2007 as well.

It doesn't have to do with the quality of the music, she said she just doesn't and it's probably due to the fact that she has so much going on. Yet, it is bad for ones own development to not ay attention to what is possible (and I don't mean what is or isn't trendy).

I wonder if Ayumi Hamasaki will retire now that she has a baby. I wish she could have one more big hit, the way Namie Amuro had with Hero. Then she could release a final compilation album, do a farewell tour, and hopefully everyone in Japan will focus on their fond memories of her again..

She's dancing like MAD in this though~ I think the lip-synching is understandable. I honestly see nothing wrong with the performance :D She radiates so much energy in the second part of it, it's fun to watch~

I always thought that M and boys & girls performance stood out as having a very different energy from her. It almost feels like they sped up her movement or something lol. She rarely moves so fast hahah

She must have had some Red Bulls before heading out on stage. I think ARENA TOUR 2003 (-2004) really marked a change in energy in Ayu's concerts. I guess the most energetic performance before that was the Naturally performance in AT2002.

For a good contrast, the performance of Fly High from concert 2000 has the least possible energy for some an upbeat song.

The only japanese on the TOP 130 (if it wasn't for BTS at 92 she would be the only asian as well). That's really incredible!

I saw an article talking about how the harassment in the M drama was basically true and not quite as intense as it is in reality. One of the guys interviewed also said they remembered talking to Ayu during her indie debut and it was like "This girl would never become famous" and at some point when she was promoting NOTHING FROM NOTHING she had given them the CD but then they just threw it away.

I don't know if it's the baby, Loveppers 20th, the M drama/book the good CDL, the upload of old lives or the remix competition but this has to be the most excited/engaged I've been about Ayu in like 5 years after sixxxxx, TROUBLE and the repetitive formulaic setlists/touring sent me into an Ayu induced coma. Idk but it feels like I've come out of temporary dark tunnel and into the light with my Ayu fandom

While she isn't releasing new content, I loved how easy it was to watch her old lives on youtube. It sparked renewed interest in songs I had forgotten/ignored for years.
Maybe it's also the quarantine, but I really enjoy the engagement from all sides: Ayu and the fans.

Was the guy the one saying "This girl would never become famous" / throwing away NFN or did ayu tell him about others doing that to her. Sorry if that was obvious, I'm just not sure I got this right.

Was that theory on "A ONE" deriving from "ALONE" ever confirmed? I remember some people saying that it meant to show she used to be lonely but became 'whole' with herself, but I don't recall if that was speculation or if ayu ever talked about it.

It was never confirmed by ayu but there were fan theories that it's "ALONE" or "AS ONE".

I personally felt that there was some sort of indication in the M(A)DE IN JAPAN tour. Like a quiet nod to A ONE. During ever free with the shadow show. The whole "we are alone but we are the one" thing

Yup it's number one again this week, I believe it was number 4 overall for last year on recochoku? Not bad considering it's still relatively expensive at $8 for a 12 year old album. Also A BEST is at number 8 on recochoku this week.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get A BEST 2020 (from 1998 to now) this year.

Her team definitely knew about her being pregnant. As they are with her during the tour/ rehearsals during the earlier part of her pregnancy. Her team members sure done a good job keeping the secret (must be her instructions)

the thing here is that her troupe seems to be more like her friends/family and they spend a lot of time together and seem to be very close with each other. if I was a friend with is similar situation like that, I would NEVER tell anyone about anything of her life, even if I was offered with a huge amount of money :no I couldn't betray any of my friend like that (wouldn't do that for my boss either but you get what I mean)

Ayu has always been influenced by western trends / fashions and by extension popular singers from the US (even though Kylie isn’t but she was quite popular at that time).
Even if it seems like a ripoff I think it’s more an inspiration because it’s not used for the same purpose or scenery. Nothing is really original when it come to pop singers and I think in each country we can find singer who picked up or borrowed things from big US pop stars nothing wrong with that.

She has never really made it a secret when she was more public about stuff. Madonna was a huge influence for shows and she takes a lot of inspiration from like Katy Perry, Beyonce, etc. as well judging from her Facebook likes and stuff when we'd see them and shows she'd watch.

Kylie is a flop nowadays... A Museum was released during 2003, not too far away from her career's peak with Can't Get You Out Of My Head...

Just so you know, Kylie is huge in Japan. I Should Be So Lucky has been covered many times, and many of her songs are karaoke staples.
I mean, even if they flop elsewhere, artists like Avril Lavigne and Carly Rae Jepsen still sell big numbers over there.

Calling Kylie a flop is quite out of touch, knowing she has an almost 35 years career right now. I mean, by the time she had her 23rd anniversary she was still having hits with All The Lovers and Get Outta My Way... And as said previously, she's one of the most famous non-japanese singers in Japan with covers from Wink (their version of Turn It Into Love) to others as e-girls I Should Be So Lucky and so on.
