I think it's good that she announced it this time. If she disappear suddenly during this era during pandemic I mean, people would be easily worried.

I believe ayu told us about her pregnancy to avoid speculation why she not going to hold CDL. Also many people were waiting for new album and seems it also will be postponed (if ayu even had plans)

I personally prefer news like "hey now I have two angels" because it's dangerous at her age.
