Yes! I was not expecting it, had they nowhere on my radar. So when it started up I was like frozen, lost, like trying to piece it together in my mind. I’m like “I can’t think of the name but I know it’s something epic.” And then it hit me and I’m like “this is alterna!!!” Such a sick ass opening.

i was semi frozen when she sang alterna in RnRC Tour 2010.. damn it was sick too! but yeah as anticipated, not released and replaced by Last angel.

I was in Tokyo for the "final" of RnRC Tour in july (not the special tour she did in october that year) and Alterna was such a great surprise, so strong and fierce !!!

She sang it in 2006 but this song is so good it should be in more tours.

RnRC Tour (2nd April date) was actually my very first Ayu concert live in Japan and I was so amazed that I managed to hear Alterna live and then the bummer when it didn't make it into the DVD.

I have a request to you guys, I have been thinking about it for the past few years and I probably should make a separate thread for my request but I'll ask here. From each concert I have been to (CDL14-15, Just the beginning and Power of Music 2018) I managed to get the ribbon, except RnRC 2010 which was my first concert ever, I was wondering if maybe some of you have a spare ribbon from RnRC? I have several spares from AT 2018 if someone wanted to trade. I onjly have once CDL 14-15 (literally was on the edge of the cannon's range and caught the last one flying), I may have a spare from Just the beginning but I'm not sure, didn't check that box for quite a bit. Just trying my luck here.

Could somebody who managed to watch her countdown dtv stream share some information on how they managed to do it, and if vpn was needed then which one worked? That would be awesome.

I guess it needed VPN. People here from AHS who broadcasted CDL through Discord would answer you better, but as far as I remember it was necessary.

Yes, that's true. But I also saw some information on the internet that some VPNs don't work right when it comes to such practices (I might be wrong). So I'd love to know the method that seems to be working :) And I'm not active in discord's servers so that's why I asked here. There's still time so I hope sb shares it.

I know that some overseas fans were able to watch last time with a VPN, however not all foreign credit cards will work. Also, when I tried signing up, I couldn't get past the mobile number verification. So, you'll need a Japanese mobile number or some service to spoof one I guess.

Why they make it so difficult, I don't understand. Especially since it's Asia Tour and many overseas fans will attend

I saw a comment somewhere (forgot where, sorry) that dTV has some of the strictest copy protection, it blocks screen recording and also the broadcast is done in parts to prevent easily saving it. My guess would be that this is true, and with Avex being as backwards as they are they're using it trying to block people from saving the performance. It's frustrating after having a couple of concerts that we COULD easily stream that they went back to this.

Which means Avex is just losing money from people who would purchase a ticket. They're so backwards.

They could do a YouTube Premium-only streaming for non-Japanese people with Super Chat allowed. They could earn money from her global fans easily.

I had this exact exact problem too when I tried to buy ticket for the Countdown. They require a local cell phone number because they text you a verification code, and I also could not get past this. I also wasn't sure if my credit card would work, but I never got to that part anyway. Very frustrating for sure after being able to successfully buy a ticket for サイゴノトラブル and Music for life - return since they used Mumo streaming. Avex knows we're willing to throw money at them, it just goes against basic business sense to cut yourself off from a huge portion of the market that they have already cultivated.

I really think this all has to do with some exclusivity agreement with dTV. Probably aces don’t even get ticket sales money. They probably get some flat lump sum from dTV and that’s it. All the streaming costs are on dTV too and ticket sales go to cover than and attracting new customers to use their platform. Since they are linked with Japanese mobile carrier and offering services for people in Japan if I am not wrong they just don’t care about people residing abroad.

Or it can do with the fact that copyright of other streaming services in Japan really sucks and dTV has a strong security. In that case aced probably wants to have control over the content. No archive this time might also be connected to the fact that CDL leaked in good quality quite soon after archive opened up to public.

I suspect tax laws have a lot to do with it as well. Some countries have such complex laws when it comes to processing payments from foreign sources, some companies simply decide it's not worth the hassle.

I've learned about a way to bypass the mobile registration part. Well, not me but I found those tweets of a TWICE's fan that explain it. I've learnt from them that you can have a global docomo account. Also my credit card got accepted in the following step. I got a vpn too, they have a 30-day refund policy so if it doesn't work at least I can get this money back. The test video worked so I hope all will be fine. Still, the risk is there but if you want to try - now you know the way :)

I don’t know how it’ll translate to video but A song for xx was on par with the a-nation 2008 vocals!

Nonfiction isn’t my type of song—it’s similar to Dreamed a dream imo—but I’m so happy to have new content and the new album announcement got me excited!
