DVD/Blu-ray Release: 24th Anniversary@PIA ARENA + CDL 21-22 (17.8.22)
The official DVD/Blu-ray release of "ayumi hamasaki ASIA TOUR ～24th Anniversary special @PIA ARENA MM～" and "ayumi hamasaki COUNTDOWN LIVE 2021-2022 A ～23rd Monster～" has been announced for August 17th, 2022. It will come in 4 versions.

I am quite excited about that release as we didn't get as the CDL hasn't been edited for broadcast yet. It might be the only time where a CDL interrests me more than the Arena Show though.

We did get an edited version of the CDL, though, which is basically like a re-broadcast (better angles, editing the vocals a bit). Of course, an official release is still miles better.

I allowed myself to believe that the merchandise included in the first press version could be a mini Barbie from Ayumi lol! we can dream but it would make a nice collector's item

Another jacket cover that had nothing to do with either concert as far as aesthetics. The jacket is gorgeous, don’t get me wrong. But it’s one of those that you’d think the shows are from 2006 looking at the cover since she’s BLONDE in both shows/dvds *facepalm*

I usually don't mind some minor effects but... wtf was that. Completely takes me out of the performance, it's way overdone. Disappointing.

I just checked another link, as I kind of doubted they'd go as far as making EVERYTHING pink.
Came across this link (features the last 70 minutes of the show) and while there are still too many effects for my taste (especially the mirror one – I know it's supoosed to reference the video but eh), it's definitely better. ^ According to generasia, the last time a DVD reached the #1 spot for more than one day was ARENA TOUR 2015, at least in the Music category. So, yeah, I think so too it is doing fairly well.

It also sold more than "ayumi hamasaki TROUBLE TOUR 2020 A ~Saigo no Trouble~" (6562 combined), but I find it curious the DVD numbers for both releases are EXACTLY the same. |

I received mine yesterday and wow, such a beautiful box !!
The clock though, is quite big, I did not expect this size. Rather a smaller one. What drives me crazy though is that it counts 24hours on it and not 12 only which is a nonsense to me and can't set it up haha. I watched the CDL 21-22, great concert, great voice, happy to see Ayu enjoying the show. Very surprised by the reorchestration of Rule and Rainbow. Big plus for the megamix AND OMG HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE it was stunning ! Especially at the very end when she says "be who you are no matter what people say". Damn I love this girl even more ! Was it just mine or the resolution was kinda bad for the 24th anniversary (bluray), I saw a lot of noise/grain almost the whole show? And the special effects gave me headaches.

^ and it kind of sucks that it was so cursed because it’s a cool song she rarely performs. Mainly I’m happy that ASFXX, Microphone, Hope or Pain and Scar are watchable without cringing. Don’t leave me alone reminds me of that Beatles movie Across the Universe. Parts of it were deliberately edited to make you feel like you were tripping. That’s what don’t leave me alone is.

That would actually arrive at my b-day LOL. Still...damned customs would ca$h the heck out of my wallet...argh...haven't bought an Ayu item for like 10 years...might as well jump back on the train with this one :) She looks & sounds so different compared to my Ayu-ddiction days ^_^
