This is the first full-length album in six years since "M(A)DE IN JAPAN" released on June 29, 2016, and the first album since "TROUBLE" released on August 15, 2018!

This is more like a photoshoot for a magazine but it's not bad. My favourite is the CD only. I'm not fond of the photobook's cover.

I realized the album name is "Remember you" and she looks like thinking of somebody in the covers. That made me like the covers even more.

By the way... There are so many people complaning about the covers but, have you seen Party Queen's covers? They are horrible. I prefer this elegant Ayu than the one almost naked and drunk under the fireplace.

I might be overthinking, but I have theories lol

taskinson aside (since that one's obvious), I'm sure VIBEES and either ray of truth or remember you are interludes. In that case, we have the following four sections in the album:

If that's the case, I noticed another thing: each section seems to represent a season:

1. Summer (Summer Again)
2. Spring (Haru Yo Koi)
3. Winter (MASK was advertised as a winter song)
4. Autumn (by elimination)

Not only that, but the seasons are in the correct order, just... in reverse. She's turning back time to remember the past.

That being said, I can imagine (NOT) Remember you being an interlude too. But the title has similar vibes to (don't) Leave me alone or (miss)understood and I can see it being a Sunrise/Sunset kind of situation where the melodies are basically the same, but the arrangement and genres are different

Edit: I'll also add another thing I said on discord: i can see ray of truth sampling the "what you do believe" line in nonfiction

I don't know how you can be so sure that they are interludes. I like to think they're not, because the information specified 5 MORE SONGS.

The remix and taskinson were not included in that count. And I'm sure it wasn't a last-minute decision. If the rest were interludes, she would have said 7 more songs, including the remix and taskinson, if she left them out it's for a reason.

She never said 5 full songs though, surely she used the word 曲, which basically just means tracks, and I don't think we know if the remix was part of that count.. Besides, these are usually estimates and are subject to change, I don't remember if she put that disclaimer there

I'm in love with the covers and literally everything. When I pre-ordered the TA version for a moment I wasn't sure if I made the right decision but this made all my doubts disappear. She looks amazing and to me, it's far from a simple magazine shoot. She's giving me some lost-in-thoughts vibes that really hit me. I also love that her dress in CD/DVD version feels like the extension of the darkness outside.

LOVEppears has WHATEVER (Dub's 1999 Remix). Dub Master X is a Japanese producer, so this would be the first time it has a remix by an overseas producer.

I really liked the covers, this fancy/lonely diva style is so ayu!

I'm not going to say this is dissapointing, but it is underwhelming. I see maybe 2 (3 if lucky) new tracks on the whole album. And the covers look like they were just shot in her home conference room.

Well I read all of your comments, a lot complains about the tracklist, but what I find disappointing is the DVD content ! No new PV to promote this album (who cares about making clip ??) and the a-nation online 2020 feels outdated (we already saw it 2 years ago !).

So I'm keeping faith that the new songs will be nice as the previous ones :)

Nonfiction (Yohanne Simon Remix)... sounds nice! Simon is very into deep house and fancy disco sound.
(I hope in the future ayumi decides to bring us some ayumix album too)

I love the covers. The dark/warm colors are beautiful and simple.

The only things that keeps amazinf me with people disapointment here is that there are always disapointed that a suprise miracle didn't happen. A month ago, it was revealed we would get a 12 tracks album, that includes the 6 previous tracks and the content of the 2 DVDs were revealed.

If you were expecting 6 new full tracks, then you can be midly deceived, but it was the most unexpected scenario.

I am not defending the album either, I think this is so far her worst album musically, but except for adding few interludes and a remix that bumps the tracklist to 14 tracks, this is exactly what they advertised.

People reacted the same way for ''A BALLADS 2''. They announced it would only be remastered versions of existing songs and when it was released people were mad it wasn't new recordings. Stop fooling yourself.

Covers are good I guess, very thankful it's something classy and not a disaster like what happened to (miss)understood back in 2006, even if I prefer by far the ones used for MASK...
We'll see how this albums turns out, not very high expectations in the first place so it should be ok...

The covers feel really fresh to me. I really like them in that sense.
Of course it's another beauty shot with no meaning at all but, it almost feels like backstage photos (the really grainy low quality like it's shot on an iPhone 6, the awkward and thoughtless composition, the way she seems half-way gesturing on the dvd/bluray ver.). I really like all that. It reminds me of early photoshoots of her. And I'd personally take something like this over glossy / high processed / over dramatic / pop diva clichés shoots anytime. The thing is, I'm also quite confident everything I've listed as regards Remember you's covers wasn't really planned to feel that way and those aspects are due to a lack of engagement in a lot of aspects. But in the end it works as it is for me. If it wasn't for the expensive jewellery, the grand dress and the presidential suite, it could pass as an indie cover art. And no soft colors, no naive close ups with awkward expressions against a plain wall for our own sake.
Just quite sad with the heavy edit on her face (especially chin-neck) which badly contrasts with the noisy, amateurish quality of the photo remaining unedited. And she doesn't need it, like objectively, AT ALL. At least the edit is less obvious than Nonfiction's horrid one. And it's only really blatant on the TA cover.
And the font... really, there is so much I can say, placement, the never ending use of half opacity, the font in itself, its size... Like everything's wrong haha.

As regards the final setlist I'm quite happy I think. Even if she made... choices. Why a remix? Why not as a bonus track? Why there? Hoping for 2 interludes (ray of truth and taskinson) and no more. But I'm not sure about VIBEES. I fear we'll have a Sunrise / Sunset moment with (NOT)/ Remember you and would have gladly done without it. Hope I'm wrong. Can't wait to hear the new songs and hope she will keep on impress me like she did this year music wise. I don't want classic safe sounds, we already have a couple of them from 2020 to 2021.

The photobook cover looks hot. Same issue with the poor edit though. But the 8cm single photo crop and graphic design has to be a joke... It's less strange as a A4 size.

Dang, the covers are really good. Usually she has at least one cover that is meh to me, but these are all so beautifully done.
I am disappointed there is a remix taking the place of a new track, and possibly several interludes here. I don't know. My hopes are kind of gone for this album working as a whole but I'll give it a fair shot. It just seems so uninspired.

I hope Just the Way You Are is not the cover song of Bruno Mars. Otherwise that'd be a fucking mess in her entire career history. 2 cover songs in an album???! She better to release A COVER and covers the songs she wants

I think it was long overdue for our Majesty to descend from J-POP goddess heaven and return to us with an all new album! I'm going to tag my album with the CD only cover version :)

PS: The CD+2DVD+Goods cover, to me, appears to be somewhat reminiscent of the "M" PV... that one short bridal veil shot ^-^

The covers are fine and different from the usual close up shots. I just wish they utilized the location setting better.

I dont mind the covers, but I can't quite envision how the other photos in the booklet will turn out, if they all come from the same shoot.

Take Party Queen, which was also shot in a hotel, but at least that was so messy and dramatic (the room was trashed) that the photos turned out to be so interesting.

This one - the room is impeccable and minimalist, I hope the photos won't be all beauty shots that turn out to be dull as hell...

The tracklist seems a little thin on new material, I was hoping that Haru yo, koi and Ohia no ki would stay ABALLADS 2 exclusives as it's been a while....taskinson coming after Haru yo, koi sounds exciting though.

Makes me even more suspicious about (NOT) Remember you being just an interlude, which maybe starts like Remember you but goes different direction. Which would be fine but it makes the list of new songs even smaller. I'm just very suspicious, ray of truth also doesn't give the full song vibe at the moment and taskinson is definitely an interlude (if it's not that would be a bomb). I'm kinda disappointed 321 vicious isn't on this album, that was a fantastic interlude.

The (NOT) Remember you and Remember you also reminds me of Mirror (from GUILTY) and Mirrorcle World.

this is something i’ve noticed a lot with ayu’s more recent covers. her editing team if she even has one doesn’t seem to be the best when it comes to picking out good fonts for her covers. one of the worst offenders has to be the LOVE again cover. cmon comic sans realness!!!

I'm pleasantly surprised by the covers (and the font would be perfect if it were bigger - even blown up, my crappy eyes can barely read it, ha) and CD only is def my fave. The fancy box one is my least fave. I think what I'm most excited about though is that I'll actually be in Japan when this drops and I get the whole buy it at the store experience. Haven't done that since my fave album Party Queen released!

Will this be available for Pre-Order from Amazon? When her staff initially posted the link for the details page, there was a link at the bottom where you could order from (Mumo, Tower Records, CDJapan etc.) Amazon was one, but the link didn't work and now it seem like they deleted the link from the details page. All the other web stores have it but searching on Amazon Japan doesn't give any results yet.

Amazon Japan has been applying that practice to new releases :irked they publish the item, get certain amount of pre-orders and then the link is gone and item is unavaliable

Huh, very strange. But then again I haven't pre-ordered anything from Amazon JP in years, usually I get the TA versions from Mumo, but I'm not interested in this TA version. Amazon typically has the faster shipping for me versus CDJapan/YesAsia etc. I jumped on the link pretty much as soon as the announcement was made and the Amazon link was broken.

The direct link works (Unavailable :( ) But it still doesn't come up if I type it in search on amazon, only your direct link seems to work for me.

EDIT: The reason why it wasn't showing up in search and saying Unavailable with the direct link is because they did not enable international shipping for this item. Once I changed it to my Tenso address it showed pre-order and showed up in search. Avex used to allow international pre-orders through Amazon ( or at least that was the case 8-10 years ago) but I guess they don't anymore, or at least not for this album.

The album covers are some of my favourites she's done. I had actually wished for her to do something elegant / night-themed, so it's very cool to actually see her do that. The last time an album gave me a vibe like that was Secret, but the photoshoot here feels more mature. I hope the booklet will be just as beautiful.
My favourite cover is the full body shot, followed by the CD-only one. I'm glad I ordered the CD+DVD version as it means that I'm getting my favourite cover. :love

MIJ actually has one of my favourite covers, too, but the booklet didn't really continue the vibe she had set up with the rope. Still love the album, though. :heart

This Remix comes from Yohanne Simon who did XOXO, Movin' On Without You, Many Classic Moments for ayu. So this remix should be really good for the album.

Yes, you can order TA from Mumo to ship international. There’s usually some kind of pop up that asks if you want international shipping, but I think they double charge you on the shipping. ¥800 for domestic Yamato courier to their warehouse, and then they charge international shipping fees. You might also be able to get it through CDJapan, they have the TA version listed on their website.

For some reason the international shipping works for normal mu-mo but not TA shop

I totally love these covers. I am excited about this album and can't wait to buy it after I've set aside some money for it. Wish I could get one of the fancier sets, but I might just settle with getting the CD by itself, which means I get the cover I prefer.

A song that feels like an extended remix version of an actual song.

It is from someone who did XOXO, Movin' On Without You, Many Classic Moments for ayu. MOWY and MCM remixes are good remixes and they are as good as a regular track. I believe this Nonfriction remix would be a solid good remix.

Thanks but it only pops up with instructions for world shipping on the TA shop site, there's no way to actually add it to the world shopping cart :dead2 It seems to work on the mu-mo site (where you can get the one with the 'card' but not the one with the poster), but not on the TA official shop :( And for TA official shop you need to then log in with +ID which is fine but then I had to create some kind of account for TA shop which asked for a japanese address :( what's the point of being a TA member if I can't get exclusive stuff.............. seems like a waste not to get it but also I've spent ages now trying to figure it out instead of working :tired

I never doubted that, I rathe dislike that the song is twice on the regular tracklist this way.

^^ in order to buy directly from the TeamAyu shop you need to sign up to your mu-mo shop ID and enter a japanese address (in our case, living abroad, you have to enter your Tenso address (third party), that way mu-mo will ship your order to Tenso’s warehouse and then they will charge you for the international shipping fees. That’s how I order my copies with the TA exclusive bonuses.

Ah, yeah that's annoying. I've never done the international shipping through Mumo so I didn't know it doesn't work from TA shop. I just tried and you are correct, it doesn't let you add TA exclusive items to the international cart. As a few people mentioned here, if you get a tenso account, you can shop from TA store and ship it to Tenso, then Tenso will ship it to you. Every time I've bought from TA shop I used my tenso address and mumo shipped it no problem. Tenso usually has fast turnaround once they receive it in their warehouse and you pay for the shipping. The shipping costs would probably be close to mumo's international shipping. Unfortunately I think you get charged that ¥800 for domestic Yamato courier to the warehouse either way, whether you use tenso or mumo international shipping.

I HIGHLY doubt that they brought back the crew on set to shoot extended version. Most of her videos are shot in 1-3 days to save cost, If we were to get a full PV it would have to have been shot at the same time but never edited.

I guess the "Promotional Video" turned out like that because of the pandemics. They didn't have plenty of time and conditions to film normally and that's what they got.

I was always sure it was shot as full clip just never published as a whole waiting for album release, the idea of shooting and not finishing a PV sounds crazy especially if it only like a minute or so left til the end.
